Will the brown parts still spread if you don't cut it off? So eventually you will have to cut it off anyway or does that only happen if you keep cutting the brown parts off?
It seems like a plant that costs so much causes a lot of headaches. I’m happy for everyone who loves theirs, lord knows we all have a collector plant that keeps us busy. I’m just relieved that I never felt the slightest attraction to a variegated monstera, lol! I’m glad I don’t have to worry about this stuff. Thanks for the informative video! I’m sure I could use it if/when I do obtain a variegated plant
Definitely helpful i to wnjoy the browning inperfection and was debating cutting off the brown like i did before or leaving it imma leave it lol and powssibly relocate my thai to a higher light for the high amounts of varrigation it lushes out
Agree with what you say , and in a way I always feel sorry when they are browning and I take them home cuz I dont care its not perfect, it needs a home too new leaves will grow when you just give it time.
I just bought an albo that has beautiful variegation on the bottom two leaves but from the new growth point it has two ghost leaves, looks like the stem from the new growth points is mostly white with very little green. Do you recommend to cut these white leaves or leave them and see what happens? the plant only has 4 leaves total!
Did you end up cutting them? White leaves will not sustain the plant. Another node will be activated, hopefully giving more green in the newly growing leaf.
Houseplant potting soil mixed with perlite, coir and bark mix usually does the trick. They like a slightly more acidic soil so I sometimes mix in some leftover coffee grounds or green tea leaves too 💚
I feel like it’s so important to create micro climates for your plants, I have one room in my house that manages to stay warmer than the rest of the house this is where I put my humidifier and my monstera.…I personally cut off my brown parts when they aren’t that bad, be sure to sterilize your scissors, yea it will brown where you cut it but only a 🎉very thin line that doesn’t usually spread. If the leaf is really bad (like th e one here) I cut the whole leaf off so the plant can put its energy into the healthy part of the plant. Happy Growing
When my tropical plant was outside the same happen. I brought it inside and the same thing happens.the only good thing is that a new shoot is coming up from the side
@@yinalikar5612thx I went away for 3 days and came back to it’s starting to brown. It’s in the window with direct sunlight but I normally closed the curtain when I get home but of course I couldn’t bc I wasn’t home and now it’s starting to brown 😢 I will move it thx
The humidity thing is not true. I have high humidity at home (more than 60%) and the leaves still brown. If i water and it guttates, the leaves brown faster. I feel like humidity causes the leaves to brown, rather than to keep the white parts white
Help my monstera just fall drop dead...she is green but the bottom got bron and soggy like. I waah off the root and put oxygen water but i am panicking
Love the idea of letting our plants be. Cut off the dead brown and embrace what’s left of it . Support the plant with love as it is already struggling
in short, you have no solution
LOL exactly what I was thinking

I want to cut mine off but where do I cut it from if it’s just the leaf that’s brown?
Can you recommend a soil please
What are you trying to pot up ? A monstera ?

I wish you answered questions in your comments...
All variegated leaf part usually will dry & brown as that part cannot photosynthesis the best if the variegated part evenly mix with the green

My question is what make the leaf go brown? If anyone has any knowledge about it do kindly help...thanks in advance..🙏
It’s because of direct sunlight
Keep your plant in shed

Hey! That plant thats on the counter! It's the large leaf that sits Over your left shoulder, is that a Philodendron Florida Green?
I'd wager to say it is. I have a less mature Florida green and it does look almost same.
in my experience trimming leaves promotes new growth!!

Didn't get much info in this video at all. If you cut off the brown parts of leaves the rest of the leave turns too. So to me there was no solutions!
I cut off the brown and it won't stop spreading from the cuts. I can't get it to stop 😪 helllpppp😢
Where did u get the variegated from
etsy
some good tips
Good video and I love the shirt
Thank you!
‘Just leave the leaves’-chuckles for no reason. What a time-wasting channel.
Thanks for saving my time... something told me put this talker on 1.5 speed, then i saw your comment and moved on entirely.. lol 😂
Right! I came to see where to cut it and didn't learn anything 💀💀
Beautiful plants 🪴
Great topic. I had a variegated banana and monstera that had beautiful leaves until they burned. I gave up and gave them away.

Damn! Just notice you're Vietnamese! Cố lên!
Vietnamese mãi đỉnh!
Good try. But most of your videos are all talk.
No solution proffered. A total waste of time watching this.
Proferred??? 🙄
@@baublesanddolls No, proffered is correct.
So I just wasted my time on this with no solution
Wish you could be more succinct in what you are trying to say
I had to increase the playback speed to 1.5x 🤭
It’s like it’s albino
That was a waste of time. Now I know to avoid your videos…
You talk too much
