I was deeply moved to learn about the shape and purpose of the bridge. It made me realize once again that the design, which allows nature and people to coexist, is a testament to human imagination.
There is more to environmental impact than just concrete. The bridge does in fact minimize environmental impacts. Please read the references in the description.
while the bridge looks cool and unique but video doesn't explain why is it into circle? why isn't it like the traditional straight line bridge? that also have opposite lanes for traffic & walking
There are lots of birds and other species on the other side of the lagoon. So making it circular reduces cars speed and sound. Besides because people can walk on it, the can go fishing on the bridge or bird watching.
Maybe they should have also added a few switchbacks to slow the traffic even more. Bad ideas are what you get when artistic expression is prioritized over function.

This is very absurd and wasteful design, there even isnt any architectural or tourist value as you cannot see the circle from the ground or deck. With simple bridge you could have much lower construction and maintenance cost, lower environmental impact (less piers, less of materials), shorter walking distances and better access in case of emergency or accident on the bridge. Total waste of public funds. Everything said in this video is complete BS. DO NOT LET ARCHITECTS DESIGN BRIDGES.
This is why Uruguay is considered a 3rd world country. This is a huge waste of public money.. Unless it was privately financed, i see no point on this!
