THIS VIDEO IS SOLID. 39min is not ridiculous. It's informative in ways no other sources are. The only people who are going to watch high GR clear tips are the serious gamers who are invested deep into the season. I doubt they have a problem investing a bit of time to help them push further. I've been struggling to complete a 150 this season and this video clearly explains things I'm not doing efficiently enough. Thanks for this.
I LOVE THIS VIDEO!! so many great tips and encouragement for pushing the highest GRs. ive done Nec, Barb, Wiz and Monk solo 150 this season at 3300 para. and aiming for WD now. thank u raxx!
Breaking down not just what you're doing but why you're doing it is actually super helpful for those of us still trying to wrap our heads around certain aspects and can even be insightful to higher ups who may not know a trick or term here or there. Definitely liking this format so far.
I’ve been playing this game for years, and I feel my understanding of the mechanics just took a huge leap forward. You’re a great teacher. Thanks SO much for taking the time to share your experience and knowledge with us! I think I’m going to create a softcore character to practice a new approach.
Have only been playing Diablo 3 a short time, I play solo and your videos have helped me immensely. Especially how to use Kanais cube, and how to augment ,etc. Even though this is a longer video than you normally have, it was so enjoyable and informative that it seemed shorter. Your build suggestions are also great. Thanks for helping me become a better player. So glad I found your channel this summer. Keep up the excellent content.
I have learned so much watching you do these clears and telling us the mob types and maps over and over again. That is so vital to my success. Awesome Job Raxx!!! That's why you get my sub every month, you are teaching me to play smarter. Can't wait until D4!
Dude.. all your vids are great. Precise, clear. To the point with extra on top. You make vids for people that love diablo...and if they are looking up d3 vids on UA-cam and find yours I promise you they are a fan of diablo and will be a fan of you. Diablo has a solid community compared to other games I love, the more info someone has on a game the better. I'll watch a 2 hr vid if there is a reason for the vid. I've watched every d3 vid from most and every vid on destiny 2...😅 appreciate your insite on your clear, glad to know I knew most of the answers or if anything I knew the importance of them. Hope to see individual toon 150 insite vids and more And I can't wait for d4..but honestly d3 has a place in my heart. Lots of HC deaths, lots of gr pushing, lots of krysban sentences, lots of karinis, lots of puzzle rings.but mainly lots of laughs with the peeps. Love what people like you and wudijo do for d3. Peace
to be honest ... this is the best video ever made about Diablo3 pushing. It's so clear to understand for i think everyone who is more than a casual D3-player and even for guys like me who pushed up to Top30 EU several times could get 1 or 2 infos i never thought about before....wow thanks a lot and keep doing stuff like this.
Very useful! Condensing the thought processes involved in a rank 1 clear is something I've never seen before, and even though I'm a filthy casual, I might actually attempt some pushes now.
A lot of knowledge for my old brain to try and soak up. I'll have to watch it a time or two again. Please keep doing these type videos. Also a couple season ago you did a step by step video on how to play the fire ally Monk, when to push what skill on the COE rotation. This video and the one you just did help me more than all the hours I have put into DIII since it was released. Thanks for all you do.
Awesome vid Rax. I'm pushing my way to my first GR150 clear on my Tals this season and possibly my D3 career, and although I could recognize the top-tier maps like 4-corner festering, misery, battlefields etc. I still have trouble recognizing mob types except for the common ones like phasebeast, fatties, mothers, slashers etc. Keep it up 😉
Great video. I have played this game obsessively for a decade now, yet it's always nice to get additional valuable insights from someone with in-depth mathematical knowledge of the game and with a fantastic ability to articulate that knowledge.
Raxx, you are the best. Thank you so much. I am a math teacher of almost 30 years and I have adopted some of your patience, crystal clear explanations, and extra repetitive hints as well as the reason behind every decision in my own teaching. I subbed to your twitch a few years ago and although I don't come see you on twitch now, I keep my sub to support you because I come to videos like this weekly. You are invited to my birthday party!
It only sucks to watch a 39 min video if the video is bad. Its easy when its a good one. Very informative, I love getting insight into the mindset of the top end people in any subject. I have often found that what truly separates the cream of the crop is what goes on between their ears. Thanks for the vid Raxx. Also, I think there was an Echoing Nightmare at 28:30 ;)
Hey Raxx The significance of this video was HUGE! and yah .... 39mins is not ridiculous as we are invested in your teachings! No one told Moses to hurry up with all the commandments! (I better get a shout out for that joke!) I needed to be exposed to the thought process involved with higher tier pushes and rank 1 clears. The significance of the mob types and map selections have been mentioned in virtually all of your videos however i didn't give much thought to which can "kite" and which can't and also how to navigate to "cancel" the pylons. I have to lookup those articles on Maxroll! I have questions about the relationship between builds, paragons, gem levels and when to try and push higher tiers however this post is already too wordy so I will post it another time. Thanks again for these videos!
Very informative. Blizzard should be happy to know that because of you D3 is popular again and much more enjoyable to play when people learn the mechanics of it 🥰. Thanks Rexxy
Great job on the video its very helpful. I am at 141 GR at the moment (never made 150) 1900 para. LOD Monk. I am going to watch your challenge rift guide as well. There were alot of mechanics I was very unaware of (best way to use conduit) breaking pylon spawns, stacking elites. I am confident I'll get to 150 thanks to your video.
I learn quite alot from this. Never knew to go to the next level to pull another elite to the conduit. Maybe you can do a RG video about their moveset. 😊
Here is why I think this new format is GREAT: I play the Cruz and the Barb and some Monk. I NEVER look at videos which deal with INTEL classes or with the DH cuz they do not bring me enough useful info. With this new format, there is much more info that's useful to each and every class and I'd probably watch all your clears cuz they deal with what we need: what ways to go in maps and live comments on the mob types. Please make more of them (on all the top maps)!
Awesome video! Do keep in mind not every Diablo player knows all the fancy words and mechanics such as "Break the pylon spawns". I only just recently learned how Pylon spawns work in Diablo 3.
This was amazing, Raxx. I have been playing D3 since vanilla and while I admit that I don't really push that hard (115ish is usually as high as I go), I've never really paid much attention to the rift layout (maps), mob types, and boss skills. I mean, I am vaguely aware, but not to a degree where I can instantly recognize them and formulate a plan. This step-by-step work through a rift clear was an excellent way to show me what I should be paying attention to and it was very informative. Big thumbs up.
Great video Raxx. Map knowledge and pylon manipulation are probably the most difficult and unintuitive concepts to understand so these are vids are very useful.
Great vid. I've often pushed with the mindset of kill some along the way to spawn several pylons so I can get more elites, this also allows for the rare chance of a 100% ie single floor festering. It depends a bit on what build I play, not all builds can pull like a barb and not all setups are tanky or practical for "follow" in HC.
Love this vid. It actually helps alot as I've never pushed past like gr120 so trying to hit gr150 this really helps alot thanks Rax! Um side little statement and a question. On the maxroll setups for barb as its my 1st time playing this class so just trying to make the best setups possible for neph rifts. Speeds. And solo pushing... The solo push setup has a unity ring on your follower but a coe ring and band of might on yourself with a cubed obsidian ring. So why the unity ring on your follower?? Lolol Surely it would be even if at least a tiny bit better to throw anything else on like kredes flame instead right? Or am I missing something here???
I've been watching basically since you started doing UA-cam and this might be the best video you've ever done in terms of how much I personally learned from it.
No Raxx, your video was great! Actually, the last few days I was looking for something exactly like this and you did it. Thanks, man. Please more. And you hit the right balance concerning the density of details. That means your video was entertaining and informative. Again. I very much appreciate your work here.
Yes Raxx please make more videos. I really appreciate it. I never knew none of this was needed to clear higher Gr's. I always thought it was all about your builds damage and optimization, which I'm running a Rathma's AotD build. I can clear GR-110 speed rifting but when I start doing Gr-130s and up its just madness. Thanks again Raxx.
Very informative and also rather intimidating realizing how complex this all actually is and how much there is to memorize if you want to do your best. This was just an example for one map with one mob type T.T
Great video man. The walkthrough with your personal thought process is an amazing way to get the point across, I for one enjoy the longer videos. Best push guide ever.
I don't even push this high but the process of how you do this was really informative. I have learned so much over the last couple of years from your vids. Thanks!
@@diamondgirls6541 That's because every five GR levels enemy HP more than doubles (~2.19x). The multipliers get really crazy as you go up and some builds just can't do enough damage to trash, elites, or bosses after a fashion to clear in time without fishing for great maps, getting lucky with pylon spawns, and making effective use of those pylons when they do spawn.
@@diamondgirls6541 in fairness, the fire ally AI is really bad. They just stand there doing nothing a lot of the time, and it's a lot more reliant on the active skill cooldown to deal any damage.
this was great! very insightful. makes me realize exactly what I need to start learning to improve. Sometimes it's hard to know what you need to work on without someone that's better to point it out.
This was a very interesting video, and sitting through this helps for me a lot as well, as I am still learning all the maps and mob types. I start to understand most of the map and mob types. But not always easy to instantly recognize them. 40min long videos like this one aren't a pain, they are helpful and helps us to understand the game better as well! Thank you for this and Thank you for helping out the D3 community like this!
Yes it was very useful. You explain from basics to advanced stuff and thats very helpful for a lot of us. Like for me for example, I know how to spot a 4 corner festering, but I struggle a lot at identifying good mob types. Maybe someday you make a video just talking about mob types? =D tks a lot man keep the good work
