Hakeem is in my top 2 all time. No one accomplished more with less around him throughout their career than Dream did. Read the man's player profile and count how many times you read the words "the only player in NBA history" or "the first player in NBA history."

Wilt has the most “only player in nba history” and “first player in nba history” by far not even close. He’s also done more with less relative to his competition. Sure hakeem had less help throughout his career but not relative to his competition. Especially in the 90s when winning. Wilt would’ve easily won against bird had he been given those 80s rockets with Sampson

This isn’t about anyone who considers the 86 Celtics team the best. I can find plenty of folks that think the 60s dynasty is the best Celtics team or other eras Celtics but that’s not what I’m here for I’m not here for consideration in peoples opinion I’m here for facts lol. The facts are the 60s Celtics not only are the goat dynasty with 8-0 streak but have teams objectively better than the 86 Celtics with more chemistry, overall greater offense defense and rebounding and leadership and coaching combined and lastly wilt easily defeats the 86 Celtics if he could defeat the 67 Celtics and could beat teams that outnumbered his own by 2 or more Hall of famers 3 different times in his postseaon career especially in an era where Robert parish and mchale are bbq chicken and the rules are far easier for wilt able to wrist carry and backdown punish and no one able to come close to him on the boards, shot blocking, scoring and efficiency combined, at his position passing, stamina, durability, jumping, speed etc… not hard to understand how wilt destroys the squad and his team takes the victory

The thing with Hakeem is that he was elite in both offense and defense. Early in his career he had that bad temper and he overcame that. He could finesse and he could also bang. He even made his free throws.

I've always thought the same. People rank Shaq above Hakeem mainly because Shaq has 4 rings and Hakeem as 2 rings, but Shaq always had another star player with him. What did Hakeem have? Nothing in 1994 except role player Kenny Smith, and then an old but still effective Clyde Drexler in 1995 that was no longer an All-Star. Everyone saw what Hakeem did his 2nd year in the NBA when teamed with All-Star Ralph Sampson, they went straight to the Finals. Give Hakeem at least ONE All-Star, doesn't have to be another superstar like Kobe or Dwayne Wade, but just another All-Star, someone like Mitch Richmond, Kevin Johnson, Sean Elliot or someone like that and I PROMISE YOU, Hakeem at least equals Shaq's 4 rings, if not exceed them and get 5 or 6. Give Hakeem a superstar teammate and Hakeem is right there in the 80s and 90s challenging guys like Magic, Bird and Jordan for championships every year. NBA history would have been totally different.

Despite both having bad FT shooting they did everything so great that they impacted winning more than the best free throw shooters in their era and all time effortlessly. Wilt can shoot as far as hakeem can in varying ways but is a far better shot blocker, versatility, stamina, fade shooter, hook shooter, finger roller, defensive IQ, shot block timing and without committing oneself, post entry denials, playing the passing lanes, faster, stronger, jumps higher, in another universe in every aspect of Playmaking and every aspect of rebounding All hakeem will do is give your team more fancy footwork in post spin moves and reverse pivot spin n fake outs. Something that’s a complete infant in front of wilts overall attributes and abilities.
You stand no chance objectively and well documented lol
Finals and playoffs wilt averages are far and wide above anyone else’s in nba history. Not to mention intangibles that are on display. It only gets uglier for you

Hakeem can’t even beat bill in every aspect of scoring either for he can’t go coast to coast at the speed bill can and leap over a defender in a single bound from a step in the FT line to score nor can he do sky hooks and reverse pivot sky hooks like Bill can. For someone who only has scoring as a better skill than Bill Russell out of the 5 major aspects, That’s a complete joke to not even be better at every single aspect of scoring.

False but I appreciate your love for Hakeem’s style of play. Unfortunately this is all style that your confusing with greatness and overall skill. It’s Allgood tho many people don’t understand this and make this mistake. But yeah, your simply talking about the style you like watching hakeem do when it comes to offense and what hakeem was allowed to do on top of that due to easier far less strict rules
With all that being said, hakeem would be nowhere near what wilt is if he played in wilts time. It would be domination on wilts behalf and even more of the same if wilt played in Hakeem’s era due to wilt being allowed to backdown punish and wrist carry and easier stat counting rules slower pace to conserve energy etc… it’s literal child’s play among child’s play in the 90s for wilt against hakeem and all others. Not even close. All objectively proven by observation and documentation too
The proof lies in not just the documented easier rules hakeem is used to and harder rules wilt is used to but also the fact that hakeem is only better with foot work and handle to score while wilt is even faster than hakeem when it comes to raw speed, far stronger, jumps higher, is taller, far more stamina and durability, far better passer, far better fade, far better hook, far better finger roll, far better shot blocker, and even an overall better defender being able to keep up with forwards and guards and force steals the same way hakeem is able to and you can look that up in videos on UA-cam Twitter and search the basketball archives it’s all documented
Lastly wilt is also in another universe as a rebounder than hakeem is in. He’s also the more efficient scorer under far harder circumstances
Therefore there is no reason to assume hakeem is gunna dominate wilt and not be dominated by wilt when he’s only a better ball handler, ball faker FT shooter and foot work but a far worse shot blocker, same kind of defender of perimeter and smaller players and steal getter, far worse rebounder, far worse passer, worse hook shot worse finger roll less efficient worse fade shot maker etc… all under easier circumstances
Bill Russell is another one. Clearly jumps higher than hakeem and is faster than hakeem. Doesn’t have Hakeem’s footwork. But bill is far greater than hakeem defensively and rebounding wise and even passing wise than hakeem is better than bill at scoring
Superior Scoring on Hakeem’s behalf to the extent he is better (only 5ppg with all those moves he has for a career under easier circumstances)
will never be good enough to trump bill Russell’s superior 1-5 goat defense, far superior rebounding, and far superior passing. 2 different universes of players.
Hakeem is fun to watch tho I’ll give you that. Same way Jamal Crawford and Vince Carter are very fun to watch but nowhere near as great overall as the boring Tim Duncan

Hakeem was better than Jordan. Michael Jordan would have never won 2 titles with that Rockets team just imagine Hakeem with prime Pippin Grant and Tony K. He would have won 6 too

Hakeem led a 6th seed team to a championship all series the Rockets didn't have home court advantage Jordan Shaq Koby LeBron Steph didn't do that

Love the Dream but Bird would pass the ball between his legs and make him so mad.

Hakeem was a rookie, who was still learning the game. After a season, he outplayed those HOF talents, and outscored Bird when they met. He just had no team around him. 3 crackheads suspended, and Ralph's knees gave out. He lost all 4 starters on his team.

Fear is a stretch. He respected him. Mj didn’t fear anyone

Bulls office used to harass MJ about Hakeem outplaying him in the head to heads. It was said MJ always looked forward to playing Houston in the 90s, because Dream was the only 1 he viewed as an equal talent on the court.

MJ respected him, never feared him. Best believe MJ didn’t mind meeting Olajuwon in the playoffs.

I wouldn't say almost all on the same team but easily could have been. Rockets could have just drafted Clyde which they should have. To get Jordan they could have traded Sampson to the Bulls and drafted Jordan. Centers and bigs were viewed more highly than guards at that time so the Bulls would have certainly made that trade.@@cavitycreep
