Kemp may have meant well, but he was way off in this comparison. Bird's heart, toughness, leadership, and drive to win already puts him in a vary rare group and that is not even counting his basketball skills. Larry's all around skills are the best I have ever seen. He was a unicorn during his playing days and he is still a unicorn now. There have been players that may remind people of Larry in some ways because they have some of the same attributes, but that is about it. Magic said it best when he said there will never be another Larry Bird.

Drop prime Larry Bird into any league, any era and he will dominate. End of story. He’s top three all time if you’re a fan, top five if you know how to ball, and top ten for everyone else. Haters are gonna hate, so their opinions don’t matter. James Hardin? Not so much.

Such a bad comparison, they are nothing alike. By the way when he was in Houston basically half of Harden points were product of travels and fouls baiting/phantom fouls. Bird impact and stats in today's nba would be similar to what Jokic is doing now but with probably more points.

Generation X basketball is the best era of basketball. Basketball was still a sport NOT a business. NBA changed rules to make sure they provided a family friendly entertainment.

I feel for him. This is an old story. How many times have we seen the offspring of legends struggle… too many. This will not turn out well. What would’ve been Bronny’s true talent? We will never know now. He could’ve been anything with the resources of his family. Unfortunately, what he will never be is a great basketball player.
