I loved going to school after the finals with the Magic when Hakeem dominated Shaq. Nothing like I told ya so. Shaq had so many nut huggers and it was refreshing seeing the pure skill and court iq of Olajuwon triumph over the size of Shaq. Ewing was a monster too with fantastic skills but not on the level of Olajuwon. I think Hakeem is one of the most underrated in the game. He gets his props from knowledgeable bball fans but I often see him left off starting 5 lists and I find that crazy.

MJ was dropping 49 and 63 in back to back games against a loaded fucking Celtics roster and had no fault whatsoever in losing that series. Kareem and Bill Russell were probably the greatest but Hakeem could destroy anyone, I think he beats Wilt 1v1 also cuz what he did to Shaq. In short, in 1984 Rockets picked him over Jordan, the greatest ever and still no one ever thinks that was a mistake. Imagine that.
