I found this game a few years back through my friend's computer screen! Never played it up until about two weeks ago. The games as old as I am! 1996. Sometimes one must admit that there's just no way to learn but old-school... :) As it is, I just powned an 8 player match in advanced tech age, mineral rich, small galaxy. Had a creative tolerant race with huge, rich homeworld and dictatorship. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed making a battleship with 19 hv plasma cannons in one turn. :) :) :P
CheesyTV Why would anybody do that? Battle is some of the most memorable parts of the game. Half my fleet growth would be through battle - once I got transporters and strengthened my troops, I was able to take over huge attacking fleets just by boarding them all. It's also safer for the survival of legendary officers.
awesome game, nice battle. I play Silicoids and use tractor beams and troop pods, faceplant into their ships with little to no weapons or shields and begin the capture frenzy,,
Dude you lost the first minor battle, but won the big one and took a planet. As usual missiles are useless in mid to late game, though you did seem to have Daultless Guidance so the leftover missiles pounded the planet. I'm more a mass driver and gauss cannon fan.
Looks like crappy design to me. 4 Titans vs 10 Battleships. With a more sound design, 2 Titans should be enough to wipe out those battleships in 1 turn.

For an outside observer, this battle may look fairly unexciting.
As someone who knows the intricacies of this game, I was f*king ecstatic.
Yep

200th turn and only neutron blaster and merculite rockets? That's strange.
@xTrmVelocity
It's an awesome 90s PC game. I used to play it all the time when I was a little kid, I still play it some today! =)
I've sampled the ship destruction from your video at 1:28-1:29 for a track, hope it's ok.

Huh?! This game is not available on Steam.
So much better than Stellaris. A quarter century later.
nostalgia attack
That's cool people still player multiplayer? Where do people go for that
Still best game to date.
New MoO failed to grasp this combat.

Um, why don't you just set the battles to strategic and it skips all this.
xTrmVelocity An iPhone game? You got to be fucking kidding me...

How would you design those two Titans?
Looks like an Iphone game...
