Working on the "keeping toxic people at a distance" part. Some people don't know they are toxic and it's not that they're a bad person, they just have specific qualities about them that doesn't contribute to your growth. It's like pouring soda on a plant hoping it'll grow. I am also in that category because I too can be toxic to people and when I recognize it, I stay away from them because maybe i'm stopping them from growing as well and they don't know.
You are amazing to take Accountability and assess that you can be toxic too. I relate. I had to completely do a no contact with my biological family because of the way that I would respond and get triggered around them. It's just a bad combination they are toxic for me and I think I am toxic for them. In fact they're all toxic for each other and nobody wants to take responsibility and change. So I decided to cut off and change myself and move on in my own Direction and my own path with God's guidance. Stay blessed✌️💕

Hi Lisa, I just love you! I have been suffering from PTSD, depression and anxiety. Your story’s have resonated with me. I have experienced great losses in my life and putting everyone else before me and forgetting who I am, bit by bit, slowly letting Kids (5), Husband, job, everything else before me , put me in a situation of sadness and depression, forgoing my education to have a family and taking a job a do not like just too keep our family together. I really hit rock bottom when I lost my Mom, in 2012, one person who I always turned too when things got rough, I went through PTSD, after her transition, because I was already in a state of low grade depression before she passed. I have been in counseling, and they did prescribe me medication as well. After going too counseling, I’m at the point of “what’s next” I am ready to pick up the pieces of my life and allow my obstacles in my life become my fuel ⛽️. I’m ready too have the life I’ve always wanted! I just found you on UA-cam today, and can not put you down, I am in my cubicle at work and literally started crying 😢 when listening 👂 too you. Transformational! yes!YES!!! I am moving into a new life for myself, the life I always wanted, the I want a life unrecognizable! Thank you 🙏🏾

It’s just so hard. I’m tired of being alone and getting told to love myself😭. It’s infuriating to hear that phrase. In my head I’m saying what’s wrong with wanting to be loved. I just turned 33 and am more confident than I have ever been. I've been a nurse's aid in a nursing home for the last 3 years and I have grown in amazing ways, but I'm not growing anymore and I have taken the leap to leave that job for my health. I'm still a caregiver, which I love, but in the way I need to be to still be healthy. I'm learning to not feel guilty when I say no. I'm learning that I am a queen full strength and gaining wisdom day by day. I may be single and living in a tiny apartment in the Midwest and living pay check to pay check, but that does not define me. Meaning, does the relationship speak to to a past wound or does it reflect the love I am developing for myself. If a past wound, I will take responsibility for loving myself more by setting boundaries and taking action to heal that wound.

We have had a long session with a friend of mine discussing how we both define self-love and if whether we fully understand what it means to be madly in love with yourself. The topic of having a full cup in order to serve others came up, and I love how you mention how we have to be willing to go through the process of constantly being aware of how to work on yourself first, in order to reach that state of self-love, which is a practise that demands patience; because our bodies deserve that much attention. Only then will you be able to be interdependent, because your cup needs to overflow, so that you can have a sufficient amount of love for yourself and still share what pours out of the cup with others. Thank you, Lisa. Your message is such a driving force for my spiritual growth.
This shifts my mindset from doing my best at work for the company to doing my best for myself because I know I can. It actually is self love! Simple things that change my perspectives. Love it!

I have recently gone through a toxic relationship. After ending the relationship I realised that the worst part of all of it was that I didn't value myself enough in the first place. He didn't take me for granted because of him, it was because I let him. I really liked your video when you advice to begin by saying, " I am enough." There's no need to look externally for a better half if you believe that you are full and complete. It is so true that you can pour something for someone else only if you are complete and full. Hi Lisa, I just love you! I have been suffering from PTSD, depression and anxiety. Your story’s have resonated with me. I have experienced great losses in my life and putting everyone else before me and forgetting who I am, bit by bit, slowly letting Kids (5), Husband, job, everything else before me , put me in a situation of sadness and depression, forgoing my education to have a family and taking a job a do not like just too keep our family together. I really hit rock bottom when I lost my Mom, in 2012, one person who I always turned too when things got rough, I went through PTSD, after her transition, because I was already in a state of low grade depression before she passed. I have been in counseling, and they did prescribe me medication as well. After going too counseling, I’m at the point of “what’s next” I am ready to pick up the pieces of my life and allow my obstacles in my life become my fuel ⛽️. I’m ready too have the life I’ve always wanted! I just found you on UA-cam today, and can not put you down, I am in my cubicle at work and literally started crying 😢 when listening 👂 too you. Transformational! yes!YES!!! I am moving into a new life for myself, the life I always wanted, the I want a life unrecognizable! Thank you 🙏🏾

It’s just so hard. I’m tired of being alone and getting told to love myself😭. It’s infuriating to hear that phrase. In my head I’m saying what’s wrong with wanting to be loved. So many ppl more messed up than me have someone by their side. I don’t understand 😭. I know I need to focus on me but I just don’t know how. I just turned 33 and am more confident than I have ever been. I've been a nurse's aid in a nursing home for the last 3 years and I have grown in amazing ways, but I'm not growing anymore and I have taken the leap to leave that job for my health. I'm still a caregiver, which I love, but in the way I need to be to still be healthy. I'm learning to not feel guilty when I say no. I'm learning that I am a queen full strength and gaining wisdom day by day. I may be single and living in a tiny apartment in the Midwest and living pay check to pay check, but that does not define me. Meaning, does the relationship speak to to a past wound or does it reflect the love I am developing for myself. We have had a long session with a friend of mine discussing how we both define self-love and if whether we fully understand what it means to be madly in love with yourself. The topic of having a full cup in order to serve others came up, and I love how you mention how we have to be willing to go through the process of constantly being aware of how to work on yourself first, in order to reach that state of self-love, which is a practise that demands patience; because our bodies deserve that much attention. Only then will you be able to be interdependent, because your cup needs to overflow, so that you can have a sufficient amount of love for yourself and still share what pours out of the cup with others. Thank you, Lisa. Your message is such a driving force for my spiritual growth.

I have recently gone through a toxic relationship. After ending the relationship I realised that the worst part of all of it was that I didn't value myself enough in the first place. He didn't take me for granted because of him, it was because I let him.
I really liked your video when you advice to begin by saying, " I am enough." There's no need to look externally for a better half if you believe that you are full and complete.
It is so true that you can pour something for someone else only if you are complete and full.
