YOU'RE SO RIGHT!! I'm sixty-three and all my anger is being expressed. I know my mother was controlling and mostly angry. So I'm afraid of the consequences when I speak up. I'm afraid of my anger that comes out. It's out of control now. It's rage. 😢 Thank you for this informative video. You helped me immensely. I understand so much more about myself. And knowing it's okay to express myself. God bless everyone to know they can be themselves.

So needed for us women. I get tired of finding few women who speak up. I'm 74. My rage is deep.

This is so on point! I have certainly suppressed anger completely. I thought it was a useless emotion. I got angry once in highschool and blacked out and every since then I got rid of it.

So important and brilliant! In my own counseling practice I found that most clients had the same core issue: feeling worthless, undeserving, and flawed. Further digging revealed that for most this involved religious ideologies that considered that all humans were born in sin or debased by being born. Add to this the fear of being persecuted for speaking out against these beliefs has created so much psychic trauma for so many generations that it can scarcely be measured. Some told me that they were terrified of being condemned to hell for believing or saying anything different than their upbringing instructed them to do. Currently censorship and heavy judgement are taking a psychological toll on many people's mental health. My own conclusion is that the fears of speaking up are not just personal issues but are cultural on a huge scale and needs societal healing. Bless you for helping to reveal and address this in such a profound and articulate way.

Thank you for adding this. This is so interesting and fascinating to hear and definitely another confirmation of the many collective traumas we carry with us that play itself out in our family systems and individual lives. ❤️🙏🏼

I’m a new subscriber, and your channel showed up in my feed. I’m in my mid-30s,and I’ve struggled standing up for myself all my life. I also wonder if my physical disability often plays a part in this inability? Anyway, thank you so much for doing what you are on this channel. It’s needed and greatly appreciated!!
Also, to the person who posted this comment, this is spot on!! A lot of what you mentioned is exactly my thoughts. You explained it very well. Thank you!!

I want to thank you 🙏💙 Today I expressed anger in a way I hardly ever do. It was just a loud response to a very usual bully atitude. I was surprised of myself and on porpoise I let myself repeat louder. The person was confused but I didn't explain. This is after few days doing your somatic meditation. I usually freeze and no respond

Thank you for all of your wisdom, compassion! You are so beautiful in that you radiate so much light it's almost distracting yet your message is clear and it resonates deeply with my experience . I have been on my own healing journey for many years and it is repressed anger and shame that are the most challenging for me. I have set some major boundaries recently and sitting with the feelings of guilt that arise from standing up are so worth it because Self Love and Compassion are flourishing within me and I feel free! this is what I have always wanted💜

This is the most comprehensive and concise explanation of my anger issues and how to deal with them that I have come across to date. I grew up angry, with an angry father, and when I decided I didn't want to be angry anymore, that I didn't like who I was when I was angry, all I did was shove it down. All the healing work I have done around the childhood trauma has never addressed that anger. And it's stifled me for a very long time. Thank you for these questions. I think I'm finally ready to sit with myself and be open to the answers. Deep gratitude and newly subscribed. 🙏💙
