It is wonderful to hear a male voice in crochet. I have been crocheting over 36 years after being taught by my grandfather and have never in all the circles that I have been involved with have I encountered a man who crochets.
As a younger guy who just kinda picked up knitting and crochet, this is exceptionally true. There aren't many men doing this.
My step-father started crocheting a few years ago and loves it. He's made many hats, scarves, blankets, purses, you name it. It is great to see/hear more men doing it.
bach1521 my first boyfriend is the one who introduced me to crochet!
I crochet, knit and cross stitch.
Try club crochet, he's awesome
Thank you so much! I had just picked up crochet and I went back to the store that is supposed to help people and give classes. I went back because I didn't know how to add the next skein of yarn. I was so mad because the woman was like, "Just loop it..." like I was stupid. This told me how to do it right away! Thank you!
Totally with you here!! I have been trying to figure out how to add a new skein in without tying it on, for a few years now. I tried other videos and books(the books were especially hard- I’m a visual learner) but this video helped a ton!! It is simple and easy to understand. I am happy to say I have just successfully added a new skein on for the first time!!
saving for future reference, you explained this very well Thank you...
You explained how add a new ball of yarn so well. And I love how you show the two methods. My favorite is the weaving the yarn tails.
I’ve watched literally 1,000 videos trying to help with my crocheting. You’re the only one so far that I can actually follow, understand and see how to do it, without having to rewind 10-20 seconds 15 times lol. Thank you sm!
Delightful to hear a concise, clear male voice doing this! REFRESHING! THX! Love, Iadora U!!!
Extremely helpful. I’ve watched so many videos since deciding to learn to crochet and I’ve never seen anyone use the method of working the tails into the stitches, that was very helpful
wow, im doing crochet as a beginner and is the first time i see another man doing it, it's so cool! thanks a lot for the tutorial, im gonna find more of your vids to do other projects when i finish my cloth
I think I have finally found the method I like to begin a new ball of yarn when I'm running out when using some leftover yarn. I like listening to guys instructions, there is something about your voice that just makes it easy to listen and learn. Thank you!!
This was very helpful, I'm a beginner and working on my first blanket right now. Adding new yarn is way easier than it sounds, much easier than tying the tails together, which is what I had been doing when I had to cut my yarn because it was too snarled to keep working with! I would find a video on how to keep your yarn from tangling very helpful!
Is joiningike this secure? I'm also a beginner and tie my tails together but I'd like a seamless join with no knots, I'm just scared my project will unravel with this method
@@KunoichiL3e it left a gap/hole in my work, so i dont know
I watched several other videos before I found yours to try to figure out how to do this, but it didn't make sense until I watched your video. Thank you for explaining it so easily and clearly!
It came time to add new yarn in the middle of a row of a scarf I'm making, and this is exactly what I was looking for. I learned how to crochet 50 yrs. ago from my grandmother. I don't do it frequently so I need reminders. I especially like that you showed how to integrate the tails into the stitching, which is how she taught me. Why wait and sew them in later when you can do it right in with your crochet stitches and be done with it! Good video!
I've been making a knot to connect a new yarn and thought it looked so horrible and obvious. I'm SO glad that I found this video. Now my projects look amazing! Thank you!!
Thanks so much. I tried to ask in a Facebook group and didnt understand the answers, which at the time seemed vague but that basically said the same thing. I am just a visual learner. Thank goodness for UA-cam tutorials!
Very very informative. Straight, clear and right to the point. It didnt take me any time. Appreciate you and ive subscribed to the channel.
Love this method of weaving tails in as you crochet!! Very clear and easy to follow!! Thank you!
This tutorial explains it very well and it was very easy for me to catch on! I didn't even have to watch it twice. Thanks!
thank you soooooo muuuccchhhh! I'm a beginner and I'm trying to make my first beany and I JUST NOW ran out of yarn and I'm so glad I found your video! TY!
Thank you for this clear, easy-to-understand demonstration! As a beginner, it really helps me!
Thank you! This is the first tutorial that really helped me see how to add a new ball of yarn.
Thank you so much this was incredibly helpful and very easy to follow. I have been kitting for a few years but have always struggled to learn how to crochet. (I can finally manage a single crochet🙈) this video was amazing i was able to follow it first time unlike other tutorials that have seemed very confusing to me.
Wow! Didn’t even have to rewatch the video! Thank you soooo much 🙏🏼❤️❤️
You've worded this tutorial perfectly. Thank you so much!
Thank you.
Excellent instruction.
I especially like that awesome way of incorporating the tails of yarn.
THANK YOU!!! i'm a beginner and you explained it very clearly and i did correctly the first time !! again thank you, you're fantastic
You've made an excellent video here!! - I'm a beginner and it's so helpful....thanks so much for taking the time to help all of us out here in cyberland. :)
Such a great video! The way you explain things really makes is clear on what I needed to be doing. I even learned a new trick.
SO REFRESHING to see a GUY posting a vid on crocheting! I'm a 36 yr old machine operator & have only been crocheting about a month, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It's my therapy, but I feel a little "femmy" sometimes when I get these odd looks from my male friends when I say I want to learn to do Barbie clothes! Thx for, I don't know... make it "okay" for a guy to crochet?
Ikr
I don't see what's particularly feminine about being skilled at, or even just enjoying any given craft! You do you!
@@bekas79 yes crochet is neutral genderrr
The first books to crochet I saw are from two guys.
aww that's so cute. a little update on the barbie clothes?
This video was so helpful! Now I won’t have to waste any yarn cause I was running out. I’ll definitely be adding in the tail ends, that’s super helpful.
I hold my hook differently, and I find it so interesting the way he holds his
This video is the most informative one I've found, thank you!
Glad to finally hear a guys voice. In school I was the only boy who liked this sort of thing and they had a class for it. Kinda awkward being the only guy there...
This is the way I learned to hold my hook and have been doing so for at least 50 yrs
Very clear and easy to follow! Great tutorial! Way to go.
this is one of the best videos i have seen for this :) thank you for posting
Great video! Easy to learn, simple and to the point! Good job!
First time doing crochet and I did not know how to continue when i hit the end of one ball... none of the other online crochet tutorials show it. Thank god you had a very easy to follow video for this :)
So glad you found it useful!
Much more clear instruction than the rest of the videos. Thanks!
Super helpful, thanks a bunches! I’ll be able to make my first crochet project (a blanket) as big as i want now!

Thanks so much super simply explained nice and slow and repeated.
Seriously you're a life saver. Thank you sm😭
Thank you so much for this! Found it extremely helpful!
Wow this is the easiest, quickest way lve see this done, I can do it now, thank you!!!
I love your explanation so easy to follow! I am working on a blanket that uses a 4 stitches soft bobble as the main stitch. Should I be concerned about it unraveling where the two yarns meet when it gets washed? I’m a concerned since there is no “knot”.
Wonderful demonstration! Thanks so much!
thanks for the help. i was right in the middle of a row in the centre of a baby blanket but hubby says he cant tell where i added the new ball so ive done something right lol. hope it looks ok when its finished as may need to add another ball after this one x
Thank you for this! I’m seeing a lot of other videos of people tying knots or doubling the yearn. I’m making an amigurumi critter for my first project and I’m so concerned about it coming out lumpy
THANK U!! ive been struggling with this
This is very useful. Thank you so much!
Great tutorial! I like how you made it so simple! Please keep up the good work and continue to give us some MORE projects and ideas! BG/Memphis Tn
Thanks Bessie! Glad you found it useful.
Loved this thank you so much!!! Subscribed!!!
This is SO helpful, thank you! 😊
I am wanting to make a single crochet border going around more than once can you show or tell me how
This helped a lot, thank you!
can I use this same method whilst making a lace crochet, some motifs or pineapple stitches? I'm making some doily and I don't think I can get a thread that's long enough to for my entire table. Thank you for this tutotial.
Thank you so much! Video is vey helpful
Thank you ,it is easy to join. Excellent

Love this! Super helpful, thank you!
You're so welcome!
Thank you no one ever got around to show me how to crochet and change my yarn and weave the tails when you add new yarn.
Thank you! you made so easy.
This was really helpful
Thanks a lot
this was so easy to follow! thank you!
Its great to hear a male voice indeed. I broke my leg a month ago and started crocheting to keep myself distracted. Its nice to see/hear other men doing this.
Ok, so I forgot to pick up the two tails of yarn , I did not integrate them into the stitch as I'm working with super bulky yarn! can I weave them in ? If so, do u have a video showing the process please?
Thanks you!
This was helpful, thank you
Thank you! This was very helpful :D
Thank you, very helpful
This was so helpful thank you!!
I'd definitely add this into the crochet 101 Playlist:)
what pattern is that? may i have the link, if you have a tourial on that pattern?
Thank you that was very helpful!
thank you, thank you. I appreciate you.
I'm confused, that looked like a triple crochet though when you put the new yarn in because of the looping the yarn onto the hook before inserting it into the work?
Thank you so much you’re a life saver
thank you for the video and that yarn is very nice :)
Where can I find your crochet hooks? Love how that hook looks!
Would this be the same way if you are using crochet thread instead of yarn?
can you tell me the yarn SiZe and the crochet SiZe (mm)??? please... I duno what size yarn with what size crochet is better...
Yess I did it. so nice Idea
Than you for sharing.🙏
Can anyone tell me what mm hook is he using?
I need info on adding new yarn in double crochet
Can anyone recommend a video that explains how to add a new ball on a discontinued portion of the work?
Very helpful!!
Good instructions
Is this method of jo8ning secure? Im scared my project will unravel without tying the 2 together
awesome! thanks.
Thank you!!
I wanted to ask if I can link your video tutorial in my blanket pattern I’m writing? I am not sure where else to contact you. This will help take my pattern to the next level.
Thank you so much!
