For example, if a person grew up with parents who bully n abuse them into submission, it is quite likely that they will end up in a relationship where they will go above and beyond to please their spouse. Going silent can be another way of showing how tired you have now become. Building up ideas of peace in your discussions or arguments with the person that all they do is to self defend, not willing to apologize following a long list of wrongs you have showed but still you notice pride hanging on their attitude. Going silent can be another way of showing how tired you have now become. Building up ideas of peace in your discussions or arguments with the person that all they do is to self defend, not willing to apologize following a long list of wrongs you have showed but still you notice pride hanging on their attitude. Silent treatment gives them opportunity to rethink and revisit their behavior to make corrections.
