I am amazed how Mr Robert Burale talks. He is not just genius but spiritually enlightened. I agree that when a couple have misunderstanding we dont need to seek advice from anybody not even to your family. You must resolve it as a couple. I am a widow now . My husband died 3 years ago. we have live together for 48 years and my family never know my problem about my husband. i just kept it to myself.

That said, we can't portray his ex to have been the problem unless we hear why they broke up too. Alfred mutua and Lilian gave the world an impression of a perfect relationship yet now its rumoured he was physically abusive !
And as he says, he learned from his past mistakes so we can't blame him for his past...... As long as he admits it. The lady might have been the best too.

Truth is, no one is perfect. There's nothing easy, even waking up in the morning can be tricky. The mentality that one person is perfect than the other is a recipe for frustration. You must be the right partner, stop looking. None of us have the power or ability to change another human being, you can only do what is needed in order to become the kind of person who is worthy of being in a good, healthy relationship. When you focus on your own behaviour and the way you treat others, I believe that a relationship is not about finding the right person, but rather about becoming the right person. Get ready for the thrill, excitement and most importantly happiness; it is an inside job. Additionally, patience is a virtue that we need to learn from our grandparents and our parents would definitely absorbed and stood the true testament of patience, in tough times & never gave up or quickly resulted to common place seperations, they never ran out of patience.

OMG! Iam so grateful for this conversation! Min 34 was what I needed to hear!…. I’ve been picky about my husband’s looks because to my eyes he was handsome and after 20 years together he became ugly, while I almost didn’t change because I exercise,eat right and take care of mybody, and he did not…. I feel frustrated he didn’t do the same and chose eating junk food and cola instead of water, besides he is a hard smoker! Ive talked to him already but he won’t change…. Especially the smoking bothers me… I am afraid this might lead us to divorce, and I don’t really want that but Im starting to lose attraction to him….I don’t know what to do
I can absolutely relate sis, hang in there ,do more talking ,try to convince him to realise the importance of healthy living, hopefully he will change his lifestyle for good.

Is he unhappy in the marriage and not verbalizing it so he's suffocating himself by eating poorly and smoking? You have to ask him frankly what he hates about your marriage and what he likes. Happy people don't self destroy themselves. You might be the only happy and satisfied half of that union.

I had the same issue with my late wife.
She died because of her lifestyle choices.
As a man in America when you suggest to your wife to try and eat better and eat less it is considered verbal and emotional abuse.
And in America you are told to love a person as they are.
There are many liberal movements in America,one being body positively movements.
Because of the way the marriage laws in America I was limited to what I could do with jeopardizing my marriage.
So I went with the status quo.
Now I'm a single father.
BTW my wife was only 52 years old.
I'm former U.S. Navy and I visited Kenya in the late 80's.

Wow! This Spirit filled experienced man is citing my personal values. Nonetheless, people usually condemn me because of my philosophy of dating and marrying. People said I'm too conservative. I am also a life and marriage coach but the way you approach your presentation or answer questions man, you are gifted big time sir. Keep it up. Shall one day meet you after completing postgraduate dip.
There are good men and women ideal for marriage but first, one has to be purposeful and self-accredit yourself. To get a good man or woman, you first have to be a marriage material yourself. You attract what you are and remember good things don't come easy, you must work for it. To navigate through that question one has to portray and practice what you are expecting from the other party. There is no two ways about it. Never give up fast. Consistence, persistence and patience are the keys to your miss/Mr right-Period
