If you are some sort of caucasian persons, I think it's time you learn to speak English like Asians. The high energy a typical caucasian speak with is very annoying in Asia. In Asia, you talk humble and toned down and blend in.

As a malaysian I feel awful and disgusted at mm2h. 3 pm have changed since covid19. Hope the 3rd pm can change something. However, sarawak mm2h is still affordable.
Is that EQ KL bldg in the background? Imo de rantau is still a good program offered so far for digital nomads.. expect delay and stuff at this stage to get approval

Almost every country offering a so-called digital nomad pass, so far, has somehow shot themselves in the foot when it comes to the details. And it's not just the digital nomads, Malaysia's MM2H scheme is a disaster for the typical retiree. Many people who call themselves digital nomads are better defined as tourists, wandering the world cooking up online ideas but who may or may not actually be making any money from online activity. As long as these kinds of travelers can support themselves with proof of a minimum monthly income then I don't understand why the De Rantau scheme requires proof of actual foreign employment. I'm retired but cannot afford the MM2H program but could easily meet the De Rantau income requirements. But I'm not 'employed' in the way required by MDEC.

Countries that have signed avoidance of double taxation shld inquire from mdec to get clarification. They shld pay taxes either here or home country.
Yes this is a fair point. I think it’s more of an issue for people who do not pay taxes, than a matter of double taxation.
