Love the hair Ali. The fridge noise is most probably the condenser switching on. I like that hum. It tells me that the power’s on (we get lots of power cuts in summer) and reminds me that I am very lucky to have food in the fridge to nourish me. 😊

Ali, when my nose is abused by cold or allergy I use VapoRub. It seems to heal the skin overnight AND the menthol soothes the sinuses. Works better than Vaseline, for me. 🥰
I can’t speak for anyone French but as someone with a French degree I would say your pronunciation of ‘bûche de Noël’ is correct. I’ve been feeling a little off the past few days and haven’t read much at all, but I managed my annual reread of A Christmas Carol today which I think has spurred me to pick up a few books again.

I finished my wrapping today and washed what was needed for the weekend away in Wales to see family. I still need to clear a few surfaces to put the rest of decorations out but I will have one day at least until late evening on 22nd to finish everything off before eldest son arrives. It's definitely been a very hectic December this year.
Red nose Vlogmas day! Gayna is also red nose. :( you two don't need to be so hard on yourselves. Both of you are mothers who work hard already! (That book of tales got me attention). I'm asking the same questions as you, why can't things be simple to solve?! There's always someting else that in order to work needs... + I don't want to deal with more complicated things, but it's impossible right now. I guess we all need a break. Hope you feel better soon!

I get what you mean about it feeling too light, although funnily enough I just shaved my head and instead of feeling light it feels kind of tight, like I've had it in a pony tale for too long. It was a great vlog today, I enjoy listening to you chat as much as I do seeing footage of you going for walks pr on adventures 💛
I've been reading a couple of Phryne Fisher Mystery books for my festive reads. Most of them aren't actually christmas-y but they always feel so summery and fun to read this time of year.

Your French pronunciation of « bûche » was actually near perfect 🎉 Just try and turn the letter U into a flatter sound, maybe nearer to the sound in the word « due ». But it sounds much nicer with your lovely British accent!
Are those advent yarns enough to make a scarf? That’s all I can knit of course. Not too talented in curves and corners etc. : )

It’s ok to be cranky every once in a while but hey your hair looks fabulous. Take a deep breath and open some Prosecco have a glass and kick back and count your blessings, which are many. At least Mr. Binky isn’t actin up and after my reversal on my ileostomy I’m finally after 3 years beginning to feel semi normal.
