The groove is so amazing in this song...I never get tired of it. This song and Rock Your Baby by George McGrea are a class of their own. Disco at its finest
I don’t see the similarities between tjis song and How Soon is Now. Is the Smiths song a slowed down version? Can someone please enlighten me. I love the Smiths and music in general but really don’t have a trained musicians ear.
If he was high yellow, you know what I mean, he would have been be for the Purple man PRINCE this is amazing stuff. RIP to Hamilton Bohannon & Prince 2021
Guild Hall Preston in Lancashire, teenage disco on a Thursday night, Hamilton and George McCrea filled the dance floor, beautiful music, downside was so did the Bay City Rollers ! Barsia Zewleska where are you now ?

Fun fact: the Bo Diddley beat in this song inspired Johnny Marr’s riff in How Soon is Now.
Crikey, you're right!

2013 gab es ein Disco Comeback: Daft Punk & Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers - Get lucky. Es hört sich an als würde es aus den 1970er Jahren kommen.

Came to this from a piece about How Soon Is Now by the Smiths and, yep, it all makes sense, great song, great beat

It's the slide guitar part that's completely otherworldly for me. I can't understand how they came up with that. Masterpiece of a song
It was the main title music in the show "Disco"in the 70's in Germany (With Ilja Richter). 1st time I hear it again after 45 years. Great!!!!!
