I'm lucky enough to live around the corner from Espiche golf club in the Western Algarve close to Lagos. Challenging to play in the wind and very tight. Been a member for a year and loving it.
Love Villa Sol, Gramacho is fun and very tough lies, silves is beautiful need to get back and play some more!

monte rei, the best golf course and experience i've ever had.
Good choices Rory. Have played San Lorenzo and The Royal and lover both. Met Alan Sheared at the Royal too.

You could add my golf course ESPICHE.. . Challenging through the thick brush. Straight shots needed. Stunning views of Monchique. Finally the most impressive clubhouse voted the fourth best new clubhouse in the world !! created by a woman architect... I love it .....
it's a fun course for sure! Been a long time since I've played it but looking to going back one day! 😊

Before seeing you and Mark Crossfield playing there, i had no idea there was even more than *one* course in the Algarve. In fact, I thought "Algarve" was the name of the course. 😔

Hi, Monte Rei is a must 1hr from vilamoura but well worth the trip, the service and greeting is just superb, and the golf course even better, and you receive a badge engraved with your name on it , bronze on your first visit,silver on your second visit but you only get two, no gold on your third visit. # Magnificent
Can't wait to play it...definitely on the list for future trips to Portugal!

Monte Rei would defiantly be your number one. Cant believe crossfield not filmed there. Number 1 in Portugal no question! not many golf courses that can actually justify 180 Euro

I'm off to Vilamoura in June, you say Vale Do Lobo Royal is best, but i've heard Ocean is better. Are you saying that just because of the 16th? Sorry for dissing the close up edits....
No worries bruh. I'm saying that purely based on personal experiences really...Lockey's four putt and the subsequent tee shot into Marjorie's soup bowl were hilarious so just have fond memories of that course! Ocean is a great course too...we've got some old vlogs over on Crossfield's channel from that course too I believe if you want to get a decent look at some of the holes.
