What are The Mirror Sessions? Much of my journey as a musician has been intertwined with friends who are also in the world creating. The exploration of self can often happen when alone, but some of the deepest conversations in life happen when simply taking a walk with a friend. We are all reflections of each other in many ways, and hearing the perspectives of those around us can profoundly impact our path to understanding and trusting who we are. The Mirror Sessions are a place where I talk freely with close friends and acquaintances about music, art, humans, and the meaning of life.

absolutely love this. especially the stuff about being misunderstood and being unable to describe and communicate creative concepts, having so many ideas that you can't articulate them, risk being misunderstood. it makes me think about neuronormative communication vs neurodivergence and how social norms aren't always in line with what we need to say, hear, have validated by those around us who we love and love us--especially if we're not neurotypical. and taking risks like you talked about, the more 'uncomfortable' conversations really do often save our worlds when we do get that validation etc we've been missing. the oppressed and silenced are brought into light etc

like roy, i’m a firm believer that in order to coexist and make progress, there must be conversations and an impartial dialogue. every day we miss opportunities to teach each other as well as learn from each other, from the smallest of issues to large scale world issues. I was literally nodding yes almost the entire length of this video, because of the relatability, and also for the many aha moments. I love these conversations.
