I think a stat poker tournament would be fun. Everyone buys in. Then they get a certain number of chips. They play until there's only one person left at each table. Then all the winners play each other the same. Winner gets all the buy ins at the end.
The hermits are such honest people omg Xisuma looks at horses killed and the first thing he does is tell everyone he hasn't got any, no bluffs no nothing just fold
I've always loved Hermitcraft Stat Poker. It should make a comeback for Season 9, as I think there would be some staggering figures involved after the last 15 months! I think certain Hermits will have some really high figures for things like Blocks Placed, Blocks Mined, Villagers Traded With, Distance On Horse, Ancient Debris Mined, and so on!
Just wanna point out that the ante is a payment to receive the "cards", so you have to give the ante either way if you already saw the stat and you folded.
It depends on the style. There’s a style of poker (I don’t know what it’s called) where there is a big blind who puts in the full ante before getting your cards, and a small blind who puts in half of the ante before getting your cards. In that style, everyone else gets to see their cards before they ante up, and the big and small blind rotate around the table.
04:20 That's "whoah, whoah, whoah", for future reference. Also, poker starts with ante for all players who wish to take part before anything is dealt. Everyone has to pay to be in the hand. Then you start with bets, and the betting continues until nobody raises (i.e. everyone folds or the last raise is seen - matched - without an additional raise).
If I say the each villager trade takes 5 seconds. Scar spent 14.12 days trading with villagers, Scar has outdone impulse's record of opening shocker boxes for 11 hours. These hermits be on another level dedication.
If something costs one emerald you can do 64 trades in one click, then it's only a couple clicks to add another 64 emeralds, so you can do a few hundred trades in 5 seconds
Not really, since its number of trades and you could trade a maximum of 10 times per item before the reset which you can buy in less than a second with shift + LMB. Since scar also cured the villagers ircc the 10 item limit should be buyable within 64 emerald giving lets say a 0.5s time save per 10 items trades since you dont require to restock the emerald with the space bar and repeat shift + LMB. With that in mind and hopefully nothing missed scar would have traded for 3.38888889 hours or 3.39 hours orr 3 hours,23mins and 24s(thanks google),but this is the fastest estimate which is from 244,00(scars trades)/10(max trades per click/sec)*0.5(since scar could trade more than one item per villager)/60(to get mins)/60(to get hours). With that said this is some pretty garbo math, ill just say its between 6.77777778 or 6.78 orr 7 hours, 46mins and 48s for the maximum and 3 hours, 23mins and 24s for the min Theres like to many variables in trades like how close the next trades you need are(like is it one bar or two bars away), do you need to scroll down ect. So im not gonna be bothered to get an exact or closer prediction that that lmao
I think you have to ante up BEFORE seeing what the stat is... ante is supposed to function as "you have to pay this much to play," and sets a minimum pot size for whoever wins
If they ever do a hermitcraft season 10 stat poker then I can't imagine what the stat for times traded with villagers AND horses killed are for Joel lmao😭
I think Stat Poker should be a tradition on the server, It's just awesome. But, there should be a build made early on in the seasons to house it, and then like Cub's Total Chaos game from season 9 it could be played periodically throughout the season as the stats will grow overtime. and then you get that sense of time passing when everyone has done lots of stuff and suddenly those who had the highest stats might shift later on down the road.
I love hermit stat poker, you guys should do this more often :D maybe a really big one at the end of the season? Finish it all with a big stat poker tournament
The way anties are supposed to work is that you put chips in before you see the card...so in this case 4 diamonds before you see what statistic you need
This reminded me about how in a server I used to be on it was a game to kill just me So I had over 100 deaths by player on the server and the server was only used for like 4-6 months haha
I feel like there's a problem with this game: basically whatever stat comes up, people are limited to betting on themselves, and so the things they've previously done (or haven't done) limit their ability to do well in the game. Like if Mumbo played stat poker in season 9, his stats would probably be lower across the board because he was away for a good chunk of the season. Other hermits might have specific areas where they're clearly at an advantage or disadvantage (blocks traveled by horse? maps created? ancient debris collected?) One way I had considered addressing that would be to have the machine provide the stat people are betting on, but let the players themselves decide specifically what they're betting on, and how much the bet pays out. So for instance, if "number of sandstone stairs placed" comes up, and Scar plays first, he could bet that Cubfan placed the most, and offer 1:1 odds for the bet. If the bet goes around the table with no one accepting the terms, then Scar gets most of the money back (minus ante, basically) and someone else gets to lead the betting. They choose who to bet on, and whether to bet high or low, how much to bet, and the odds for the bet. Maybe it goes to Cub next, he makes the same bet but offers 4:1 odds. Then it goes to False, maybe she thinks someone else has placed more sandstone stairs that Cub in season 7 (ha!) and decides to place a large bet at those 4:1 odds that Cub *isn't* the one at the table with that top stat. The betting goes around a couple times, with the expectation being that each player will raise their bet at least enough to cover their share of the opposing bet, or fold, leaving their bet in the pool but losing their potential stake in the winnings. (So if False bet 100 against Cub at 4:1, Cub would have to raise his bet to a minimum of 400 to "call". If both Scar and Cub were betting on Cub at 4:1, to match False's 100 they'd each have to raise to at least 200. If Scar bets on Cub, but then folds and Cub is the only one betting against False, he has to bet enough to make the 4:1 betting pool pay out properly if False wins). If he can't stay in at those terms, he has to fold and lose his bet. After a couple passes, betting concludes with players either matching the bet or folding. Then when betting is done and the stats are checked, the players who stayed in the betting and who bet correctly, split the betting pool evenly. (This means there are a few quirks to the betting: like Scar dropping out early increases the burden on Cub if he stays in, but Cub also wins Scar's share if he wins the bet.)
Technically you can’t fold prior to the 4 diamond ante. In Texas hold um you have a small blind and big blind so there are always two players with some money in the pot.
Looks like fun, but if add some rules like everyone must ante up before drawing stat and "uno reverse card" for excitement which each player gets 3 life lines. A "pull out", "uno reverse", and "new draw". Life lines can be played anytime, but only once each. Pull Out: Let's player take back their bet plus ante. Uno Reverse: Changes it from "most of" to "least of" and vice versa. New Draw: Draws a new random stat, all bets stay in.
See the thing with poker is everyone has a chance to win meanwhile the one who has the most and knows they have the most is always the winner here, it's less a game of bluffing and more a game of psyching yourself out xd
I recently* joined a new server and I couldn't win much there but I have broken like- 10 000 potatoes and picked up 40 000 so thats cool I think :] *a few months ago
Man, hermits don’t know the rules of poker at all lmao. Antes are not optional guys, they are forced bets to ensure there is table action and always money in the pot. You don’t get to just fold with no ante, especially after knowing what the stat is 🤦♂️ otherwise you can just wait for something you’re confident in winning
Does the villager trade stat count times you opened the gui, stacks you traded, or individual trades completed? If I traded stacks at a time, would it count as 64 individual trades each time?
You have to anti up to play. Everyone should be putting in like 1 diamond before you read the card just for the "privilege" of being able to play that round. That's how poker works.
Next season you should do day 1 stat poker, lol. "Ok, how many grass punched?" "I've got 6"
