@pamelajones7592 I feel your pain with the hair. I'm not good with curls in general 😕. My hair is wavy but it's easy to work with. Although when I was young my hair used to constantly have knots too .
I have always liked your channel but after seeing this really makes me appreciate people like you who take the time to care for children with autism being that I have a son who has autism, may God richly bless you ❤
thank you for being professional and kind and thoughtful ABOUT WHAT VIEWERS MIGHT SAY TO YOUR CLIENT AND MOM. LIFE CAN BE TOUGH WE HAVE TO BE UNDERSTANDING TOWARDS EACH OTHER . SHE HAS BEATIFUL HAIR.
i love the aunt jackies knot on my watch. i have tried so many different detanglers, sprays, oils, serums on my 5 year olds hair. She absolutely hates her hair being brushed, played with etc. her hair is 3 seperate matted knots and i mean they are a struggle to deal with. my daughter wont sit for more than a half hour even with extra delicate care for her pain tolerance. Everyone around me has tried to convince me to cut it off or go to a stylist but i have faith in myself and helpful videos like yours i will conquer this difficult situation..
i meant to add i like the paul mitchell super skinny serum, garnier fructis sleek and shine and curls aloe and blueberry curl moisturizer as the slip they provide has gotten me further faster.
While I greatly appreciate the time and effort you invested to detangle her hair, it just seems more logical to give her much shorter hair so that she will not get herself stuck in this situation again. If she ever comes back like this? Time for a cut. Thank you for the kindness you showed her.
Hopefully her mom was listening to the advice I gave, and she keeps up with her appointments..I have a client on my channel that I feature often with Autism who came to me almost in the same situation. Her hair is full thick and beautiful now, she is now an Adult and takes care of her own hair . I claim that for this child..thank you for watching💜
My kid would not sit in a chair being still like that, or let anyone even touch her hair like you are doing in the first 45 seconds of the video. :/ We finally managed to get where she lets me brush with a timer for 2 minute increments, but she is moving the entire time and I am following her around the room. It takes everything to keep her hair from matting every day, and when it does get a mat, it takes days to work each one out. She rubs and rolls her head with her hands / blankets / pillows as a stim, especially to sleep, so that makes it all the worse. And I can't get her to wear bonnets or scarves etc. I hate to have to cut her hair super short, but I'm thinking about it, because having it long just causes us so much hardship every day.
I'm so sorry to hear that...yeah sometimes you just have to cut it...I wish you and your daughter the very best and I totally understand, but if hair is taking precious time from you two, it's not worth it😍
New Subscriber to your channel , God is good , I just happened to come across your channel When you were talking about Judy & The Brat's hair products & Then Scan thru some of your videos & happened to come across one about detangling hair which i have to do & I was very pleased to see your advice which I will definitely do . Very Explanatory & Well shown .
I ahve a son 15 with autism. He uses his hair as a napkin. Everything goes in that hair. He has beautiful ashy platinum blonde hair. I try to keep it maintained, but he dosent care.
Thank you for such a detailed and helpful tutorial - I really learned a lot. However, I’m concerned about showing the 13-year-old client’s face while discussing personal details like her autism diagnosis and matted hair. Since the service agreement was with her parent, I doubt she had a say in being featured. Shielding her face could’ve protected her privacy while still making the tutorial informative. Including such personal information felt invasive and exploitative. Just something to consider for future content.
My cousin was violent with getting her hair done. Scratch, bite, spit. It was a whole production. Multiple people involved and you were definitely bleeding afterwards. Her aunt one time amazingly managed by holding her still with her legs. 🙁 Life sucks sometimes and I hate this for her.
Thank you for this my daughter is level 3 autistic non verbal I can't brush her hair she fights me and has matted balls in back I got some out . I just am so frustrated. I try so hard to help her with hair it's a struggle and puts her hands there and fights against me while trying to brush with comb
My 2 year old hair just on the side in front is extremely matted. It's like a ball. Do you think I can get it untangled without cutting it? I really dont want to cut it
My baby sister has autism and is 3 years old. She can't sit down for the life of her and hates the feeling of a comb on her head. Me and my mom have tried EVERYTHING to unnap her hair but we are truly struggling. Do you have any suggestions? We will take anything
Did you try gently combing her hair while she is in deep sleep, also take her in front of the mirror, comb your hair first, then give her the comb, once she tries to comb her hair, gently help her. I hope this helps, also watch some of my detangling videos💗
@BradMondo You need to see this. This is a video that highlights autism and matted hair. God Bless You for addressing this ❤

Did you ever try the cheap conditioners, like the vo5...and slowly tug at the knots maybe while she watches her favor shows💜
