Hey Superstars ..here you can check out a detailed wash video on detangling ua-cam.com/video/C7mRTn4KHkA/v-deo.html
Great video, by the way we share the same name lol. Mines spelled myleka ❤️
S/O to all the dads watching this vid trying to figure how to de-tangle your daughters hair. You ain’t alone ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
You are CORRECT 💜 This is for Moms, Dads Aunties Grandparents and anyone struggling , I hope this helps all..thank you for watching 💜...
I’m taking out locs out my daughters hair and will then do this ..it’s spring break. Her baby mother put this mess in without up keeping so I’m fixing her mess lot of dead and split ends would have cost me 900-1000 dollars for her head.
We in here ✊🏾
That's me right now while watching the video
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Mother of a extremely tender headed child signing in to just say THANK YOU!! I could literally cry. We get on each other’s nerves every 2 weeks with the hair chronicles but this week i was led to do some research and found you. You have made my life so much easier with the detangling process. My baby didn’t she’s not one tear. THANK YOUUUU 🙏🏾🫶🏾🎉💕
💜💜💜💜💜😍That is Awesome 👌 👏🏾
I most definitely wet my baby’s hair and I use conditioner or I’ll mix the two using warm water, thick conditioner and olive oil. Shake it up in a spray bottle.
If you need to let it sit then do so but be sure to cover the hair with a shower cap or grocery bag for like 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes. It’s up to y’all. Hair days is just one of those mandatory days where you’ll have to make sure you have nothing to do for that day or two.
Let the second day be the day to catch up on other self love type things.
Take care loves 💕
Great Ideas..Thanks for watching 💜
This was great advice.
Man I use to cry when I younger getting my hair done was tender headed still is
That is why I'm so gentle with my little ones..I was sooo tenderheaded...thank you for watching 🥰
I am too! 😭😭😭
@@MzMagic Thank you for understanding the pain of doing your children's hair while they are tenderheaded. I am still tenderheaded in my 50s 😭🤷🏾♀️. There are those mom's with no understanding that tenderheadedness is very real and painful and they don't have patience to properly comb it.
I try, this is why I do what I do...thanks for Watching 💜
@@MzMagic I lovelorn video but I'm 55 and very still render headed and holding hair I still feel pain. So I just do Mt own hair it takes me 4 days to do my hair becpeopkw say the gentle but lord Jesus lol. Ii should just go bald lol . Live your video
This video saved my life!!!! 😂😂😂😂 as a mom of two girls who have not a clue about hair, this video helped me to conquer my baby’s hair!!! Thank you for your knowledge. 😂😂😂
You are sooo Welcome 🤩
I don’t know how I found this video, but my little man with 4C has been having a hard time at the barbershop and I’m grateful for this video.
His barber’s been telling him to stop whining, but now I know better and he’s just a tender headed kid. Thank you and thank you for some of the tips I’ll do at home.
So happy I could Help🥰 Thank you so much for watching 💕
This is so awesome. A lot of stylists and moms only know one way....yank and pull. I swear we have to do better. It shouldn't be painful. There are so many better ways to detangle and comb.
Thank you...Yes there are..I'm so glad you liked it💜
From a Tender headed girl, To now, thank you soo much!!
Living the braids in after conditioning 🤯🤯
Holding the hair at the root!! And she didn’t feel the pain, was my break through 😁😁.
I wish my hairdresser actually talked to me and saw how I was feeling and try to comfort me instead of not talking at all and just wanted to get my hair done I mean I know you want to finish my hair already but still but this video is kinda comforting so thanks for that
-Coming from a tenderheaded client
Hi fellow Tenderhead lol💜 I know how it feel being tenderheaded myself..I comfort my young and older like my self clients.. because sometimes just talking through it helps..Thank you so much for watching 🥰
I find that keeping multiple ponies and two strand twists with beads or berets at the ends keeps the hair from tangling, instead of puffs. Makes the comb through before and after wash so easy
Thanks for sharing. I'm absolutely NOT tender headed, but I feel like stylists take advantage of that and actually pull more hair out during the detangling process.
I now wash, detangel, and blow dry my own hair before before going to a stylist.
I’m 22, and STILL tenderheaded, and I had a full, large, and thick head of hair as a child. I used to cry a lot as a child getting my hair done, then ended up getting relaxers cause of how bad it was, and now that I have a full head of natural hair again, I want to take care of it better. I needed this, so thank you 💖
You are so welcome.. Thank you for watching 💜...
I'm gonna come get Blake's hair done there.. but what isn't hat spray that you apply prior to the flat ironing
OMG, I am so thankful that I found your video. My daughter’s hair is exactly like this little girl’s and I have just given up because it’s a stressful process doing anything with her hair, so I literally just put it in a ponytail like that. I have been doing everything wrong based on what you have showed. I can’t wait to try these methods. Thank you / Tiara 😁🙌🏾
That's why I'm here...thank you for watching..if you have any questions let me know 🤩
As a white foster mom of a beautiful African American, tender headed child, I thank you for the detailed instructions! I will definitely be trying these tips. I’m so nervous about keeping my girl’s hair detangled between protective styles. I’ve been told her scalp needs a break so We need to keep a looser style for 1-2weeks before braiding it again. But her loose hair seems to tangle up so easily! What can I do on a daily basis to prevent matting and tangling between protective styles?
Hi..in between protective styles you should always keep her twisted up or loosely braided with oil and hair moisturizer at night ..always put a satin or silk scarve on her head while she sleeps..Thank you for watching 💜...
My granddaughters have 4c hair. I am also a foster mom to one of them. I have mixed children so I already knew how to handle and care for their hair, one of them is a hair guru as far as products go, she researches everything from best products for certain types to the safety of the product on hair and the body thankfully. So when my grandbabies hair texture came through we knew just how to go about it. I do a shampoo and wash once a week and a co wash in between. After both I use the LOC method. Leave in conditioner, coconut oil or olive oil, and a SATIN night cap. She also uses satin pillowcases Incase cap falls off during the night. In between washes is use water mixed with a little leave in condition. Her hair is so soft and easy to manage. I watch this video because my oldest granddaughter is just like the baby above she cries the minute you touch her. So now I know how to handle her because her mom is the same as her mom. I used to tell her all the time she needed to stay on her hair it needed to be done twice a day braid at night style in morning she didn't listen. Now it's heck to get the oldest grandbabies hair done.
@@shannonanderson3500 this might be a dumb question but for the olive oil, do you use/prefer olive oil you would find in the cooking section of the grocery store or what you would find in the beauty section or at the hair store?
@@tatianabritton6258 Not a dumb question use the one from the grocery store make sure it's 100% olive oil
@MzMagic where are you located?
I love this and needed to see this my daughter is very tender-headed and when getting her hair done she screams! I’m so glad I watched this thank you
Thank you so much for watching 💜
OMG THIS IS ME I SCREAM WHEN MY MOM COMBS IT
IT HURTS SOOO BAD
Mine too ..and she's getting ready to go to school I can't send her looking crazy !
This was very helpful for me! Just successfully detangled my 3 yr old nieces severely matted, 4c mixed hair with a minimum of fuss and tears, which is a miracle! I coated it heavily with a mix of moisturizing conditioner, olive oil and tea tree oil, let it soak in before starting to use fingers and a wide toothed comb to comb it out, twisted as I went. Left it on even longer before washing with twists still in, sprayed with detangler, applied oil serum, sectioned it into 7 sections, used coated elastics to hold them, twisted each one, used another covered elastic to hold the end in place. Not 100% perfectly straight or even but better than it was and since I will be watching her and her brother I can stay on top of it and keep it from getting that way again.
I'm so happy this worked out for you and your niece, thank you for watching 💜...
I’m 14 😂I now of my own hair cause I am horribly tinder headed. Never got used to it. And people still ask why I haven’t gotten used to it.
Lol..don't worry I'm still tender headed people who aren't just don't understand ❣ thanks for watching🤩
im 16 and as i got older i and ppl doing my hair were frusturated why my tender headed ness wasnt going away like i was supposed to "grow out of it". it hurt so much whe everyone was annoyed and didnt wanna so my hair anymore, the only person that would help me (before i started doing my hair on my own and researching) was my god mother. she was always joking with me and it always distracted me from the pain. this was comforting like that, thank u!
That brought a tear to my eye..I was and still am very Tenderheaded, which is the reason why I started doing my own hair at 12yrs.. I vowed that I would never yank or pull anyone's hair, young or old as a Hairstylist.. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your story💜
I love this she didn’t even cry. I’m going to use all of f these tips with my youngest. You were so patient.
Thank you so much 💓
I literally lol'd when you said "she's just waiting to say 'ouch'." You're a God send. Thank you for this video. My tender headed daughter and I appreciate you teaching us this!
No problem...my clients crack me out..Thank you so much for watching💜
I originally commented before watching till the end. I have to add that you produced a beautiful result in that baby's hair!
My daughter is 11 years old and her hair is knotted/tangled, but I washed her hair, detangled her hair, and styled the hair so she looks beautiful, thank you for showing me that video.
You are so welcome 💜
Thank you so much for this video! I used this method on my tender headed 13 year old son and it went so well! I got some whining when it came to twisting up front but washing and detangling was so much easier than before!
I'm so glad this helped for you and your son..thank you so much for watching 💜
I am so thankful for finding this video. My 10 year old granddaughter would NOT wash her hair or let me touch it for like 2 months because she's so tender headed. She took showers and got her hair wet and not let us touch it. Finally yesterday she let me do it. It has taken about 7 hours of misery. Crying, yelling, throwing things, and my anxiety was crazy!! Today I still had about a quarter off her head left and I had to look for a vid cuz we are both at wits end. Then I found this!!! Thank you so much for teaching me. Huge difference!!!! Thank you!!!!
You are so Welcome...thank you for watching 💜...
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! I tried this method and my 4 year old daughter FINALLY let me blow dry her hair for the first time. It was so much easier to braid fully blow dryed. I usually just do her hair wet and it takes me 3 days to complete any style except a ponytail. I followed this video to the T and it worked! 👍🏽👍🏽
You are so welcome, Thank you for Watching 💜💕
I’m new to your channel and this is exactly what I needed to see before tackling my 9 year old granddaughter’s hair. She’s extremely tender headed with a head full of 4z hair. I’m praying this method works and will follow it from beginning to end even if it means watching this video several more times before I begin. Thanks again for sharing and teaching me something new.
I'm so happy to help, anyway I can..I know it so hard, but once you master the technique it will be a pleasure for you and her, feel free to ask any questions, and thank you so much for watching 💜
Beautiful🥰 Thank you!!! I was blessed with a tender headed 4C baby so I appreciate all the tips and tricks 🙏🤣😂
Thank you so much💜
I needed this! I was contemplating relaxing my 5 year olds hair. This was truly a God send❤️
I appreciate that, I hope you can work it out, without relaxing your daughter's hair 🤩
So glad I came across your video. I love how you explained everything and was so understanding and patient. The results were beautiful. I will definitely be trying this method and watching more of your videos. Thank you so much 🙏🏾💜🙏🏾
Thank you so much💕
I will definitely try doing this on Saturday on my daughter's hair. Detangling her hair has been so hard but I really want her to love her hair not just after she gets her hair done but the process beforehand. Thank you so much for this video! I have tried so many other ways to detangle her hair and some ways work and some don't so I hope this does! 😊

@@lisamoore1358 Hi.. I'm in Chicago
I wish i knew someone like you near me from my daughter hair when she was younger,Now im tackling my almost 4yr olds thick hair.Im definitely trying these tips on him today.Thank you for sharing .
You are so welcome..Thank you for watching 💜...
Thank you so much for this informative video. My daughter is 6 and we've struggled with this process since she was 2/3. I'm learning all this a bit late at 27, but my mom and her mom didn't know how to do their hair. My daughter would cry and scream, it would break my heart. She's been asking for her for to be blow-dried lately and I had no idea where to start. Breathing a sigh of relief ❤️
You are so welcome 💜 remember to grab the hair and comb from the ends up and you should be fine🤩🥰
Im in the same boat as u sis. I have no idea abt hair of any sort, neither did my mother and her mother. This truly is a sigh of relief bc I felt like such a bad mom and it's refreshing to see that I am not alone. No one that I know has experienced this with their kid so I REALLY thought I was the blame and it really depressed me bc I felt like was neglecting her hair but she turns into a freakin tornado when I try to do her hair; so much that it now it triggers my anxiety. This video feels like a lifesaver. Hope all is well with you and your family.
so happy i found your video. i have 3 girls and they are tender headed as well . This helps so much. gives me more confidents that i can do there hair with less pain and ease thank you once again.
You are so welcome, I know it will work out for you, Thank you for watching
Thanks for the tip. I am mixed, and I used to be tender headed as well, so I know how she felt, and now I have a child that is tender headed as well. 👍
So glad to be here for you...thank you so much for watching 💕
Thanks so much I’m gonna try all of this. I’m literally on the verge of shaving my daughters hair off (she wants me to) I’m just so over it all😭 much love from the UK
Good luck💜 Thanks for watching
I am very tender headed too, not my mom. It was always torture when she was doing my hair. When I start to take care of my own hair, I find ways no to hurt myself. And of course, it didn't me took long ! If I may, if she's old enough, let your daughter do her own hair, or at least let her do something, sectioning, detangle a small section in the front, secure the section with a clip or else ...
Olding thight and working fast on a section you're detangling is the best way, just like in the video.
Me too 😭😭😭 did you try this method yet? My daughter is literally growing dreads and I don't know what to do 😩😩
Lord this looks like my 5 yr olds hair. I needed this video. Her hair is sooooo dry. Definitely going to purchase the Aussie you recommended. Thanks for the great content!

Family MOST stylists will not do this. I prep my own hair just like this before I go to the salon. They just braid or sew in and that's all. My have is healthy, edges in tact and scalp well oiled. Very time consuming but it's worth it👍🏽♥️
Yep, we all about healthy hair over here😊 Thanks for watching 💜

This was an amazing video.I sure wish I would have watched this prior to yesterday.
Thank you, well now you can use it for next time😁
Thank you for this video! My daughter is very tender head and everytime we detangle I contemplate cutting it all off and starting over. It's a WHOLE dramatic event
No problem...thank you so much for watching💜
Ugh I go through that too but I don’t want to cut it. I did cut a bunch off but it’s still long. It takes 2 hours just to comb out after a wash or anything. I love her hair after it’s done up but not quite sure how to keep it healthy and in a long time before it’s a mess and dry after taking it out.
I contemplate locing my 4yo's hair every wash day 😧
@@carrierobert3881 All my children hair is like that my youngest who is 13yrs when you take out her braids make sure wash her hair in sections don't worry about the time because it takes me that long to do her hair and that time has nothing to do with styling it so now I just do her hair in 2 days works for us
Thank you for this video, I will definitely use these techniques on my five year old!

❤amazing work thank you
Thank you so much for watching💜
Beautiful ❤ Thank you so much for this. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi, thank you for watching 💜
To make the process, even easier on yourself, and the kid, I recommend Splitting the hair into at least four sections (the more the better), and getting a spray bottle, full of warm water, wetting the section with a lot of water, adding conditioner, and some type of moisturizer, finger Detangle before using a wide tooth comb or detangling brush, then wash, while still in sections, and then condition (you can remove the sections one at a time but its optional), I know this seems like a lot, but this will make the whole process way easier on both of you guys, especially the child.
Thank you! I needed this!!
You are so welcome 💜
You did a amazing job😍
Thank you so much 💓
I love the pre-detangle and shampoo steps. What to do after if you don't plan on blow drying? Detqngle with the wide tooth comb and proceed to styling?
Hi, if you don't plan on blowdrying, either twist or braid the hair so that it will stay detangled😍
Look at all that hair lil darling. Great job
Thank you so much for watching
Wow! She sat through the straightening comb process as a tender headed sweet girl?!😮 I tried to hot comb my daughter's hair years back and we did not get past the first swipe of the first section! She still remembers and never wants to use flat irons, hot combs, etc. And she was not burnt but was scared of the residual heat. Not even a blow dryer because of the noise and forced air, albeit warm setting. Looking for an option that does not use heat or forced air 😢. (Sensitivity issues)
She looks beautiful
Thank you so much 💓
Great advice❗❗❗
