You are not doing something the wrong way if you get it apart in a reasonable amount of time and you don't break it it in the process. I have been loving working on a lot more saws lately, every saw is a new adventure.
That’s a full grown saw! We got to talk more about 385 piston in a 372! Ran all 3 of my hopper specials this afternoon, that 201 really rips with that new archer chain!👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hi Bellhopper!!😀😀 Those where a sweet old saw!! I see she has cut a lot of wood already in her day. Good to see she oils as good as she does. You definitely need that amount of oil when you run a 36" or larger bar on it. Can't wait to see it in a 3 foot diameter or bigger log. TTYL!! Logger Al
Probably one sided due to run out in the 3 jaw and the Jacobs chuck. Nice work. Thanks for sharing! Ooh I see that feller likes to use used motor oil for bar oil, ick.
@Bellhopper you have 3 phase? If so how'd you set it up? Picked up a welder and compressor at an auction that are 3 phase, I'm trying to figure out how to set it up. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!!
A trip to the Hopper Surgical center saves the big Stihl's life. Great job !

That is a great old saw.
