I've always wonder if the competitors' kids at the WSM contest ever had the "my dad is stronger than yours" fights 🤔 ... like literally, thats what we're determining here!
You guys are familiar with that prank "everyone can read minds, it's just you that can't"? When I become a dad, I want to train to become a superhuman again and tell the kids "everyone is a superhuman. It's just you that aren't." Get them to feel the need to train into superhumans with realistic abilities of their choice. Jumping, speed, endurance, strength, and tech will be the main options. That way, in a few years, when I end up telling them the truth, they'll know they actually are the superhumans of their peer group. I used to have mad hops and insane speed. Now I still have speed, but not hops or strength anymore. For then same reasons astronauts after one year in 0 gravity can't do anything without hurting. I missed a year of training. Brian, I hope you don't have to miss a year. You will likely lose it all (or most of it) if you do.

I met him at my local Costco here in Colorado and I can tell you that he is a very nice down to earth person. I have nothing but respect for him. Some people call him the “gentle giant”. 💪🏼

The kids are the only people on earth brave enough to strong-arm the 4X world's strongest man.
The biggest people always tend to be the nicest. This is because their whole life they have most likely always been the intimidating one (sometimes without even realising it), so for this they act extra nice, they want to be able to socialise with anybody I'm sure. And we can take this analogy and use it with a skinny guy who thinks he is a scary mf, this shit happens a lot, just because they were always seen as non intimidating or small and lengthy. I believe this to be a very common thing in human Psychology, cause tall giants seem always very nice. For example islanders, islanders have got to be some of the nicest people you can meet. Very down to earth people imo.
@@Aqotics While I may not be as big as Brian, as a guy that's 6'1" and 370lbs, I can tell you this is true. I try and make it so I'm as disarming as possible, because I can definitely be intimidating

Absolute beast really giving Mateusz last year hard time, only loosing split of seconds and still being just a fraction behind at the end.
This year he hammered all Polish competition.
Ultra strong grip and ability to carry and drag items.
Amazing overhead press, Mateusz had to sweat a lot just to keep up.
The only reason he is not participating is because Mateusz should be in WSM but now why not taking the guy who is 99% as strong as Mateusz and have no injury?

Thank you for bringing the reality of being a dad and trying to keep yourself going as well. The sighs and frustration that go along with the enjoyment of having little ones to manage, while keeping yourself on track is the realest thing I've seen in any fitness video, especially strongman.

Thanks for the update videos man! The past few months I’ve gotten back into lifting and been loving it. I’m 6’9 207 rn and working to get to 220 in the next couple months. Giving me great food ideas along w lifting of course 💪🏼
Keep at it and you'll for sure get there, I'm trying to lose weight at the moment and I feel really good, stay consistent and make sure you eat and get those fuckin GAINS
My goodness you should be able to weigh 220 at 6’9” pretty easily. I’m like 240 at 5’11”. And it’s easy enough for me to gain muscle while keeping my abs. You should still have very hard abs at 220lbs at your hieght and gain fast

I remember when Brian was eating 5lbs of meat a day with straight rice at 8k calories a day . That looked rough. I’m sure the calories are similar, he obviously doesn’t eat nearly as much as he used too. Slight reduction in calories but the volume of food seems much less and much easier to eat on this new diet, more calorie dense. That old diet seemed grueling.
He also used to win worlds strongest man back then
@@johnnyboy5135 The comment is referring to Shaw following the Vertical diet the past couple years, which he was not winning. Before then he worked with Nathan and was the WSM :)
