brian struggled more eating vegan than when he moved those stones in Ireland.
Easier than everything on Taco Bell menu though!
It was Scotland
Scotland not Ireland 🤦♂️😂
I thought it was Scotland
@@blipblopride9024 we dont have taco bell in UK but i assume its made out ofreal food instead of hydrated veg oils
The type of Vegan food I enjoy are the ones that aren't trying to imitate meat. Like there's nothing wrong with a plate of roasted vegetables and rice.
I always say exactly this, I think you and I could get along 😅😁
Especially if you throw a bit of chicken in it.
Exactly. If you only go for trend food you ll be disappointed. Lentils can be really tasty too or beans, there are a lot of options.
Besides being boring as hell and having no meat to go with it.
Seconded. Daal is a delicious, cheap, easy, high-protein option.
40 chickens, 3 bison, and 2 cows are alive because this man ate vegan for a day. Real question is- was this harder than your wife’s diet?
🤣🤣🤣🐄🐔🦬
And alive for what? To just take up space and die meaningless, serving no purpose?
veganism is liberal nonsense... it isn't healthy
Not quite, the next day im sure he consumed double to make up for lost time hahaha
Not necessarily considering they’re already dead by the time he gets them from store anyway lol
Brian looked at that first plate like “this isn’t food, this is what food eats!”

If you wish to be Carnivour, which is what I am reading here. You should be eating Carnifourouse meat. Wild cat, Lion, Tiger etc. And being a true hunter, and catching it with your hands.

Best way to attempt Vegan is to go with Indian food. The spices they add to their food just takes it to another level.
Indian, Nepalese, and Mexican food are all my go-to options.
Also it's meant to be vegan. They aren't trying to make meat dishes without meat.
100% Truth!
Indian food is terrible though lol
@@spydergs07 then you've had shit Indian food. Real Indian food, cooked by people who have lived in India, or have learned to cook Indian food properly is incredible.

By the way, as someone who married a vegetarian (she does it because it helps her maintain her glucose levels as a Type 1 diabetic) I can't imagine the farts Brian had. When we first started dating I was eating a lot more vegetarian meals because I was cooking for her a lot and wooing her with my chef skills. Let me tell ya, it took a good 3 or 4 months before my body got used to the higher instance of full veggie meals and the heinous anus stopped.
My girlfriend and I went vegan at the same time 2 years ago and our house was a literal gas chamber. Like concerning amounts of flatulence LOL
Weird because you’re not supposed to have gas for more than a week or so then you’re good after body changes diet
Heinous Anus is going to be my new villain name on my DnD Campaign.
As a type 1 diabetic I question her motive... meat itself doesnt have any sugars. Meat replacements do. How did going vegetarian help her maintain a better glucose level?
@@StrikingEnergy210 High levels of animal fats slow digestion and make it more difficult for insulin to function properly in your body. There's also the fact that high red meat consumption (which was her staple as she wasn't a fan of poultry or fish), even if only eating leaner cuts is associated with elevated insulin resistance.
Pretty sure having well over a decade of dealing with her diet to maintain her blood sugar and still fuel her performance in the gym as well as being a DNP makes her plenty qualified to determine what works for her not just on paper, but in application to real life.
Man, I wish Robert and Eddie could've been there to witness that once in a lifetime event!

"I literally don't know how to describe that taste" also brian "salt helps... kinda" brian nailed it! What else describes flavour if salt can't help it?
Salt amplifies the flavor of food. That’s why it’s the most important spice. You add a little bit to whatever you’re cooking and it vastly improves it.
@@dr.floridamanphd i bet brian hoped it wouldn't amlify that flavour
@@mrwofl1015 if you use it after the fact you gotta let it sit for a few seconds, mix it up, etc, otherwise all you’re tasting is salt. And yes, tofu is bland.

We need an update video on how things went the next morning. Changing diets that drastic must have led to some brutal toilet times.
vegans always have brutal toilet times
I was thinking the same thing. I went throught this myself, and know from experience that eating that much fiber foods at once without easing into it will cause diarrhea like niagra falls.
Actually, I don't want to know!
That video would start with Brian on the toilet with an extremely load echo.
yeah those vegans are always farting and stinking its like the number one thing they talk about in there groups that they cannot stop farting, hitler was a vegan too and had the same problem but cause he was such a insane nutter people just pretended not to notice for fear of being murdered lol.

The stomach issues are likely due to 2 things: you're not used to eating that much soy and you probably ate way more fiber than normal. Both those can lead to bloating and in that kind of volume, I imagine it's really uncomfortable.

So why even change to a vegan diet then :D i'm never going to change to a vegan diet never it's just stupid in my opinion.

@@jooobvhv "better for your body" not true and no evidence to support this. Generally people site studies that compare all meat eaters with all vegans and all this proves is that the most glutonous unhealthy eaters consume meat and other animal products which isn't much of a revelation to anyone. It's impossible to overeat on a vegan diet. Meat is good for you in proper quantities and makes meeting calorie and protein needs infinitely easier than a vegan diet
"Better for the animals" this statement definitionally makes no sense. Animals aren't people and so don't have moral worth. A moral judgement about an animal's wellbeing is confusing categories. The purpose of many animals is food and therefore it is good and proper to use them for such
"Better for the planet" only a privileged westerner could even think this is an argument. Billions of people would struggle to survive without animal products. Furthermore "bad for the planet" in the sense you mean it is hard to quantify or qualify objectively. Mass farming of vegetables is "harmful to the planet" in the exact same sense (not even considering whether or not this carbon emission bs is legitimately a cause for concern or not)

Just dont "do" vegan. Easy. Nothing wrong with eating animals. If morals are compromised, choose (more expensive, but availiable) sustainable options.
@@Wisey_83 I think the whole vegan argument is that there is something wrong with eating animals...
Great video!
I love that you did this! I've been curious to see you try for a long time.
I am going to preface the rest of this comment with saying I'm not personally vegan and don't think that everyone should be at all, especially not someone like Brian that has very specific nutritional needs.
If you were to ever try this again, I'd love to see you eat a healthier and more natural plant based diet. There are so many naturally vegan foods that we already eat or could eat that the meat substitutes, while potentially nice, aren't necessary to reach that goal. I also think that the naturally plant based foods tend to taste better and digest much better too. You'd get a lot more of a natural diet and have an easier time digesting it, as there aren't as many processed ingredients or fillers in it. Perhaps Mexican flavours (which I think you like) or Indian ones (I'm not sure if you like those) would lend themselves well, as there are a lot of naturally plant based recipes there.
Either way, thank you for doing this. You're an inspiration in general. Keep being great!
I still remember the taco bell challenge..."I'll take one of everything, we dont need vegetarian, thats pointless" - haha!
Brian, I've been vegan for 34 years. I can tell you a tofu scramble and fake wings is not the way to go. There were so many other delicious options out there. All types of real vegetable dishes that you would have loved! I know you wanted lots of calories so for instance Indian food even though just vegetable can do that because of the sometimes high oil content. And desserts such as non dairy ice cream of so many different flavors would have blown you away! Plus unbelievable cakes and so much more. Next time(if there is a next time) you need to consult with a long time vegan for some good advice on the yummiest options.
The way those tacos look on his hand, has me dying 😂 just that bottle of water on Shaq's hand
Love mellow mushroom! I’ve never tried the vegan pizza but I’m sure it’s amazing
Brian is so nice, he won't even say something mean about a plate of food. Gotta love this guy!
I love cooking for myself - and I've been adding more and more vegan recipes to my rotation. It's definitely hard to find something that meets texture and flavor expectations compared to food that you're familiar with! I love the recipes I do make now, and it's hard to find good vegan recipes. Would love to see much more bodybuilding/cooking youtube crossover to help us all cook and eat better
My experience with Vegan food was basically the same as Brian. I would say that the one thing I would change if I did it again would be to try different foods and not just meat alternatives. Part of the issue with those kinds of things are you're comparing it to what you already eat (like a hamburger vs a beyond burger). The best the vegan food can ever do is be basically what you're already happy with (so, the best case scenario is vegan food = meat, but more likely vegan food < meat). It will likely lose out on texture, taste, or something.
If you eat foods that are not aimed to be meat replacements, you might find something you really like more. That said, I've struggled to find 'vegan' dishes I enjoy more than the meat I eat. I do eat more plant based things than I used to, but I definitely don't get the bulk of my protein from plants.
@@descendency if beans didn’t ruin me I’d probably never need to eat chicken again :(
It’s easiest for sure to take it slow and incorporate vegan products into your routine/meals because there’s just nothing I’ve ever found that’s a 1:1 replacement
There are lots of vegan bodybuilders and athletes who post their meals like Nimai Delgado and Brian Turner!
If you have the food that you've had your whole life and love, why change from that to eat vegan filth? I can see trying something here and there, but vegan food is all vile. And it's not healthy either.

seeing him at menchies is hilarious since I used to work there and those regular sized tacos looking like tiny snack for him lol!
Seitan tacos sound great. I had seitan kebab once, while it does not taste like beef, it was really well spiced so as a meal in itself it was actually really enjoyable. Honestly, the best vegan stuff is the one that does not pretend to be meat or dairy, since i doubt it could ever really live up to the real thing.
You're a FAR bigger man than I. Literally and figuratively my friend. Gotta love how this man just crushes any task in front of him regardless of what it is. He could have just eaten some pasta and pizza and called it a day. But he was going "beyond meat" and lentils...I know...I know... it's nightmarish. But this man CRUSHED it like a WSM Championship. Absolute legend.
Dude, this is great. His reactions remind me of a toddler that is fussy and definitely not enjoying his brussel sprouts
lmao that Hot Topic, 13:48 in the background had me cracking up
😂😂 I just can’t Brian cracks me up
I like how he does his best to keep it positive and proper😄👍🏾
I mean with vegan food in my experience it's all about finding what you like. I'm not vegan myself but we eat vegan a lot anyway because my girlfriend prefers it and I decided for myself that I want to reduce my meat-intake a lot. We're pretty happy with it now but we had to experiment for a while to find stuff we liked.
Some people don't like "alternative meat" kind of stuff at all and just prefer getting their protein from stuff like beans or using tofu in its own way in recipes, not just to imitate meat. We generally like meat replacement products but if you really want to imitate meat you have to introduce some additional tricks (liquid smoke makes things taste more "meaty" in many dishes for example) and the meat replacements are all different in terms of:
1. what do you digest well? Some people have trouble with soy, others with seitan and there's also stuff based on peas or lentils.
2. what consistency do you like? For me personally pea-based is the best because soy based can be a bit dry sometimes and seitan is often too tough for me in terms of the consistency.
3. what actually tastes good to you? Once again pea-based is my favourite but each manufacturer has their own processing and blend of proteins, fats and fibre along with seasoning obviously.
So I'd say apart from the obvious "it's everybody's choice" there is no "one way" to eat vegan. If you're motivated to do it you find your way but there are definitely vegan dishes I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole while I love others :D
Dude! Awesome video! As a vegan i loved the content. I gotta say theres so many options out there and they almost all taste different. Glad u tried it which most people are too scared to do
Cause it’s crap 💩
Nobody is scared to eat veggies, fruits, and grains. Aside from the "carnivore diet" frauds. It's the fact that there is no real scientific proof that isn't paid for and backed by interested third parties backing the idea that we're not meant to be omnivores. Our Hunter-Gatherer ancestors ate wild game, wild greens, and wild fruits, and are generally considered to be far healthier and even taller than our earliest agricultural ancestors. Also soy is nasty.
i tried vegan food only thing i liked was the cauliflower bottom of the pizza just remove all the fake meat and put vegies on it cause the fake meat ruin it and taste like ass.
