You saved the day. Thank you. I have 2002 Odyssey with slow crank. I finally noticed the temp gage would peg out with the switch on and the van not running. I pulled the plug on the sensor and it cranked right up.
Just a note: I posted this as just one possibility to check when a Honda just won't run. There are many more possible causes, but this is a very easy thing to check (unplug the sensor and see if it runs). I also noted some other symptoms which occurred and may be related to having a bad temp sensor. 1. Irratic gauge showing a warm reading when engine is cold. 2. Cooling fans not coming on when engine did run causing overheating condition. 3. The gauge did not return all the way to the original cold position when the switch was off and engine was allowed to cool completely. (Gauge should drop past cold when the switch is turned off (no electricity to the gauge). Thanks for watching; Hope it helps someone!
@@patrickkneisel6931 Is the heater fan blowing? Or is it blowing but not getting warm? I do not think this sensor would interfere with the heater coming on, Thanks for the comment.
Quick question - 2007 Odyssey - No fans are running when vehicle is at temp and idling, however both fans work when AC is turned on (like they should). Would this still be the two temperature sending units? Thank you for your videos! Enjoying them

So glad to hear it helped someone! Makes it worth the effort. Thanks for your comment.

When that front temp sensor is bad would that cause the heater not to work also?

Why tell us it’s not cranking when it is
Perhaps I should have stated "It won't Run" Sorry about that. So, if your Honda V6 won't run, check those sensors! Thanks!
