Great video Mic I already got myself the 11, upgrading from the 10. I usually skip a model but i was really excited about the 10bit color... Was really pissed off when i discovered that it's not available when shooting in 4:3 ratio and it's also not available in timelapse mode which i use the most... 😢I really hope GoPro plans to make it available in the next firmware upgrade.

Wow this was a great comparison video! I currently own the 9 and 10 and have been contemplating on getting the 11.. definitely got me thinking more about it also I might just hold off and wait till the mini is released so I can see a comparison video between regular size and mini 11 and I might just end up getting the smaller camera not sure yet.

I´ve just got a HERO 11 and compared to my HERO 10.
I don´t really like the materials used on the hero11, they feel cheap compared to the pristine hero10. Plus in photo mode, you are locked to 8:7 aspect ratio which is a bummer for me. I don´t feel like cropping it in post-edition every single shot...
Do you feel the same about this or I am the only one not enjoying the hero 11 as much as the hero 10. I feel i´ve jut done a mistake buying the HERO11!! Thanks. Keep doing the outstanding work. Big fan here*

Which micro sd card are you using?? I use Sandisk extreme pro which is a little better than Sandisk extreme. But I still have some freezing issues and connecting to quik app on my iPhone 11

It's not normal how muddy the picture from the 9 is. The lens or sensor may need to be cleaned.

Very nice comparisons, thanks! I have a 9, it's great but considering an 11... bigger sensor, better night time-lapse modes, and taking video at aspect ratio that can be edited nicely to landscape or portrait are the features tempting me!

If you are shooting something too extreme like on gravel / dirt then maybe yes… I don’t shoot stuff like that, I never got my lens damaged. You could get extra lens as a backup

Great Vid and Review. I'll probably pic an 11 up for the holidays. Have 10 and 8, but like you mentioned...they are always upgrading. Being a pilot, I'm digging the Horizon + Lock feature. This alone is worth price of admission. Liked and subscribed.

I just brought hero 10 a couple months ago. I’m very happy with it. My old one was Hero 4. I love both screens on both side on hero 10. I went to Hawaii for world deaf golf championships last month. I had a great time.

Thanks Mic for this detailed review. For me as average consumer the night effects are the coolest new feature worth upgrading. In normal usecase GP9 performed pretty well. I just switched from 7 to 9 and the front screen and better battery life are indeed light years away.
And... What I also read the new gp2 processor makes the UI run smoother. Probably also worth mentioning. Keep up the great work ☀️👍kind of hate you for the coolest weather ⛱️
I'd love the hero 11 😍 I'd definitely see a big difference only having the hero 3 😁. The colours look amazing 👏🏻.
Mic, i have watched your videos and taken alot of your advice. I have the Gopro Hero 4 and loved the camera. I recently bought the 11 and have been testing it out for the 4k video, and also bought an expensive 4k laptop to edit with. I have always used and liked the 2.7 but never dealt with 4k as i didnt have a computer to process with. The new features on the 11 are a big improvement from the Hero 4, HOWEVER, i have noticed in sampling 4k that the videos all look like they have a "jello" effect, very wobbly and looks terrible. I have the camera set correctly, but even out in bright light it still records the jello. I tried the 2.7k 60fps and the video is so buttery smooth. Even at only 30 fps, why does the 4k look so bad?
