I don't own a VW, don't know if I ever will. But I love these videos so much. You two are great together, the people in the shop are wonderful. This puts a smile on my face after a long day. Thank you!
As a Canadian, I got such a kick out of you saying that when it got down to 67F that it was freezing. For us, that's a very comfortable temperature! It's all perspective. Please keep up the terrific work on your bus; it's got to be one of the most extensive rebuilds ever.
Hi Mic and Lori. Perhaps someday You and Lori can come to Montreal to visit and make it January when it is -25 to -30 below Zero. Cold Cold Cold it is but lots of Hockey. Love your attention to detail work on Kona. Keep on Vacationing.
Finally got all the videos watched! Awesome trip so far! I’m Mitch too! I’m hearing impaired, but hearing aids help me out. I hope to get a bus next summer! Love your vids and your zest for life!
I gotta say, I just love everything about this series. I really enjoy seeing what all you have to overcome with getting Kona ready for the road, and you do such a great job of not glossing over anything. Amazing to think of the difference of where Kona was the first few episodes!
Hi, Mich & Lori you guys still work together as a great co-team, soon Kona the bus is ready to hit the road, great work guys🇺🇸🙏🏻☮🇳🇴🇳🇱.greetings.Hubertus,
🏄♀️ Thank you for your time and hard work! We love watching your build from here in Puerto Vallarta Mexico and look forward to seeing the next post! I know it’s not easy living in a non restored Van and seeing how nice you make it look gives a lot of people hope at the end of the rainbow! Peace be with you” 🙌🏼
Real bodymen (hammer dolly) impress me so much. Anyone can hammer away and then slather bodyfiller, but those who get metal to 99% without filler are in a separate class.
Amazing how far you've come...and how far yet to go. Watching you work motivates me to work on my 1979 Westfalia and reflect on how much it really takes to get things right. Amazing work and videography, you inspire me! Thanks for taking us along for the journey 👍
After all this time working on the bus, I do wonder whether you'll finish it and then find yourself immediately wanting a new project. Fancy a nice Beetle to go with it? :D
Hey what a great work you doing with your lovely girlfriend….and the red bus where you sleeping in….is from the Nederlands look (NL) on the back door….I am watching from Amsterdam….I love the project ❤
Great hard work is paying off buddy your wifey is a great team mate...if you wore a Redwings jersey I could put you on defense and we could be team mates..lol go Wings go...
Recently started watching, who are you and how did this monumental task get started and why. Where did funding come from? I respect and applaud your efforts . My wife and I have begun the same task on our 73, which is in remarkable pristine condition excluding the damage caused by mice Bill
Lovely long video of some great progress. Can't wait to see the next one. Sorry if you have mentioned this and I missed it, what will the final colour of the exterior be? Thanks D.
61 degrees F could absolutely not be freezing, it is about the average summer temperature! In the western parts of Norway, that is.... ;-) Good luck, fighting the cold...
nice work ...after all this work ...i think this bus need a deep bath of chemical for preventing future rust ...after that seal good all body with epoxy paint ....and no paint more with paint spray ...for durable paint try electro painting ( sorry my bad english ) have a nice day
61 degrees is (now) freezing?! To me, Georgia where I live, doesn't really have a winter and during the winter months, I don't turn the heat on on the main floor of my house and it gets to around 50. On the second floor, I set the thermostat to about 62-64! Moral of the story, Lori and Mitch shouldn't come to my house in winter! (Actually, if guests ever come, I raise it up for them) I want to see the bus finished and driving around Maui already!!
Haha! Lori gets cold too easy... really 61 is no big deal for me but that night it was so awful... very cold breezy coming from Bay Area .... cold water pacific water send cold wind over to us... no fun haha. I can wear shorts and shoes in 60 degrees without wind 😉 Me too can't wait to get bus to Maui!
@@MicBergsma I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, THAT is some cold winter weather. Take care and get out to Kanaha beach and start foil boarding! Cheers!
Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime (Bundesabgasbespassungsverbotsverordnung)!!!

Need to make that battery compartment out of Teflon! 🤣 ( No, really.) The struggle is real.
Lori and Mitch - love the love you guys show for each other.
When Kona is done, he/she/it will be better than new! Dr. Ferdinand Porche would be proud! AND seeing Lori working on it is the icing on the cake!🤟

61F-67F is ideal for me, funny how people that spend so much time in Hawaii can't get used to it.
Semangat tuan
The video shows early June 2021. Are we over a year behind with the progress?
The apartment is 👍

They won't let us and we are trying to save some money by doing ourselves.... than paying to tow bus to a sand blast shop
Where did the dog come from 😀🤔
Shop owner's son's dog
I just don't know how many years you prolong to repair this bus or remake this bus in our India we do remake in one month hardly
