as a South African and an activist of the African National Congress, I dont understand why people have a problem with ORANIA, Section 235 of the constitution permits Self Determination, why would the none afrikaners want to live in ORANIA, majority of afrikaners themselves do not want to live there, it is not racist to want to preserve your ways of life and norms, Venda people live in Venda, Bapedi live in many parts of Limpopo among themselves and anyone who moves to anywhere bapedi live must learn the language and norms, the same with the Zulus in Natal, they dont want None Afrikaners including whites, our inferiority complex forces us to want to live with them while the indians and everyone else has no issues.
They build it themselves, with their own money, maintain it themselves without any support from any form of government financial support. Shows what can be done with proper planning and a common will to succeed! Zero crime, functioning infrastructure...
The country is collapsing & the anomality of a functioning cultural community, much like the Amish for example in America seems to upset the lady. Hey if your neighbours dont invite you over for whatever reason, just let it go. My advice.

Orania citizens are comprised of Dutch, which is German descent. That is an ethnicity, not a race. Therefore not "white". If you are offended by their skin color in their choice of township then doesn't that make YOU the racist?
Yes, black people have been doing that for years. Unless the chief allows you right of occupation in his/her village, you will not be permitted to stay...and when you decide to stay, you then observe the customs of the said village.
I am not well versed in the constitution, but if it allows anyone to do that, then yes black people can also establish their black only towns, however most black people are a people of love and unity. With a history like we have in SA believe me we just wanna move on. What we won't tolerate is racism. So personally I don't give Orania much thought unless they start to oppress our people, then....
It is a ethnic Afrikaner/Boer town rather then White town. They just are white by their historical founding. Surely you have small ethnic enclaves in Nigeria?
