Price of fuel is dictated by South Africa, the Oranian currency is dependent on ZAR strength, imports come through SA ports, when SA had lockdown it also applied to Orania, no recognised Police Force, no recognised Judiciary…so it is independent only in name!! When you actually are self sufficient, come and talk. For now you are a prodigal son that keeps coming home to eat.
We all have preferences and a right to our individual preferences whatever they be just as those who opposed another have their preferences , they need this point made clear when they try to condemn your lifestyle. The people of Orania have nothing to defend. Your preferences of the way you live are your rights! ❤
Are we free of separateness? given that all our social systems and personal ideology or our social conduct, is by some measure fundamentally based on identification and association. My answe is no, were not free of it. When we observe societies, we are able to glean that separatism appears inherent in all societies. Moreover it is our selective reasoning that ultimately negates or strengthens it depending on the order we subscribe to. Undeniably the intrinsic nature of separatism, when threatened, it results in extrinsic contempt - as we experience here and now. Dissenters often express disgust against separatism by relying on their apposing views that are predicated on by ethical standards. Paradoxically this justification fails to observe that it too is an act of exclusion even when such resistance is democratically justified to achieve 'a' version of freedom. Evolving from stifling circumstances such as immorality, political injustices or religious dogma, that seemingly contradicts 'a' version freedom proved imperative throughout history. Exclusion validates a measure of moral subscription. Supporting any ideology that defines an "acceptable conduct" or 'a' version of freedom requires exclusion. Historically it was inclusion that failed because people continued to live unadjusted and as a result, war and perpetual rebellion ensued. The barriers between apposing ethical forces is the contention dividing the 'for' or 'against' supporters - two versions of freedom. Separatism can be found between two harmonious societies - it's still separatism and we are by some ideology 'guilty' of it. There are no societies free of separatism and this is equally true for individuals. Everything we do, from social appearances, to actions or moral subscription are essentially clusters of beliefs - separatism. Therein lies paradox. Since history does report social conduct, it is easy to predict that separatism will perpetuate and therefore compromise overall freedom because it recognises different versions of freedom. Since freedom is subjective, it will remain in contempt.

Being in the middle of the karoo, very likely nobody laid claim to the land before the expansion of the Dutch settlers. The Sotho's historical territories never included the Karoo. South Africa has pretty much completed it's land restitution process under the Land Restitution Act of 1994.
It was a Dutch farm and then the gov owned it. They built a company town Housing was built for workers who worked on irrigation projects. After the work was completed, most of the people left. Some stayed as squatters and were living in the homes that had become neglected, run down. The Afrikaners bought the land and the squatters living there were moved to brand new homes in townships.
The problem will come when they apply for Autonomy as A Nation...getting their own police, Army. I see a war in South Africa...it is a dangerous idea similar to where South Africa came from.
There may have been plans in the past, but it would have to be more cities like this - it's not going to happen. They would have to have these cities with 10x the population. Somehow no one pushes themselves to live like this in the middle of nowhere. It's semi-desert, hard work, nothing interesting. This city exists because it is a refuge for bitter old Afrikaners and hope for young unemployed people. It's easier to leave than to waste your life building a city from scratch for your successors. It is not at all said that those children who grow up there will want to live there. For now, there is a “model town” and it's possible it will end there. It's more like a Mormon community, maybe even the Amish.

Better to live apart voluntarily.
Should have stayed in Europe in that case,
Good Town. I wanna live there
Kindly contact me if you want to live in Orania
Which country is this?
Orania, go Google
South Africa
Zuid Afrika / South Africa
Well done Orania! 👏
You don't see Israel occupation of palastain on this orania one day?
Definitely True.....! Why? Because the ethnic group you hail from has ABSOLUTELY Z E R O capacity to build, create and add value to ANYTHING! Remember June/July 2021 KZN and Gauteng!
If not nipped at the bud, it certainly seems so.
South Africa was a Republic way before 30 years ago.
Thumbs up for Joost!!!!!!!
Do they pay taxes to 🇿🇦, their own hospitals, police, universities, judicial system, and other institutions necessary for proper running of a society?
Price of fuel is dictated by South Africa, the Oranian currency is dependent on ZAR strength, imports come through SA ports, when SA had lockdown it also applied to Orania, no recognised Police Force, no recognised Judiciary…so it is independent only in name!! When you actually are self sufficient, come and talk. For now you are a prodigal son that keeps coming home to eat.
That is why they clearly say "they are building towards freedom" its an idea still in progress
There’s no crime. Why do they need a police force?
My boss has a house in Orania
👏
We all have preferences and a right to our individual preferences whatever they be just as those who opposed another have their preferences , they need this point made clear when they try to condemn your lifestyle. The people of Orania have nothing to defend. Your preferences of the way you live are your rights! ❤
Hoe kan ek deel word van die Orania gemeenskap?
As n afrikaner
Good job keep the good work
What is the meaning of the Name of Orania 🤔

Idk what to say, feels a bit weird, even though I'm happy it's prosperous. Are there other towns like this in SA, like only for the Zulu or any other group? It's a bit strange if it stands out as the only one...
Most Ws just left. Currently, SA is only 7.1, 7.2% W.
@@halfdome4158 I hope SA can get its sh*t together tbh. Then maybe some of the ppl who left would come back... it's not good for the country to have such an exodus, a lot of brain drain & economic loss.
@@dyawr Agree, but I think its hopeless.
@@halfdome4158 Maybe not
Wonderful!
Mooi so Orania trots op julle bou voort wees n voorbeeld vir SA asb laat hulle sien hoe regeer n mens 🎉
As long as it remains a small town, then it's okay. What we cannot allow its expansion and form in a nation within our land especially with their ideology. Things can turn nasty.
Keep it this way it works!!
If I may ask Bruce, Are the Kings in South Africa really in control of their affairs or they are just like during the apartheid where they were being controlled by the apartheid government as to how they should run their Spaces. Did they have money to run or the apartheid government gave them the minimum to run their affairs? Those kings had nothing everything belonged to the apartheid government, Truth be told. UNLIKE ORANGE, THESE Afrikaners Folks run their affairs without anybody telling them what to do. They work hard, Yes, which is commendable. Who gave them money for start up? We have to Tell truths here. They had money some accumulated a lot of money during the apartheid rule. What do these kings have? Handouts. The truth is South Africa is a very complicated Country for sure. We pray too that One Day God will remove THESE SHACKLES Around our FEET as South Africans especially black majority,So that we become like ORANGE. You are very much BLESSED Orange Folks. More good LIFE For You All There.✌️🇿🇦
Are they build the houses by themselves inside Orania?
it means the hired whites brick layers and white plaster guys and doing everything by themselves without hiring any black people?
No. It was not mean for them to hire their own people. Learn from them and do the same for YOUR people.
That is crazy white town in South Africa
Dam well said
Respect other races and cultures, value and preserve own coherent homogeneous society.
Apartheid did have good motivations but was implemented very poorly.
Orania needs to say to national government that you will when you can take the people from the white shanty towns and look after them, then you are doing national government a favour by reducing their work.
Can somebody pls educate me, who are the maids & gardiners in orania? Is it white people?
Same as in my house. Myself and my wife
They do all their work themselves
@@dn822 owk, I hear you...
People who constantly put down the government kill me. It takes decades to build strong communities. You started with no wealth, no land, no education. They had all the wealth, land and education, obviously they will exceed you in the beginning. The same occurred in the USA. We’ve been attempting to make progress since the sixties and something’s still haven’t changed. Be patient, steadfast and always look to each other for strenght.
Ek het sopas iets vandag geleer. Ek het nooit geweet Orania is in die Karoo.
God bless Orania
Keep doing what you do there,we'll dine you have done great for yourself trust me,we are leaving he'll,living in fear everyday in South africa, children are being shot at as little as 4yrs being shot and die that's our democratic country , it's not what we were hoping for it's he'll,let's be truthful, whoever decided that they gonna have their own Orania was a great idea ,well done😊
What is the difference between the Mormons in the USA and the Whites in Orania in SA
Everything
the mind senior / she boggles
I just want to understand if you are not getting anything from government. Why are you voting for?
Good question
Because goverment is a political process that does way more than delivering (or not delivering) services.
400 years?......
Since 1652
372 years

Just thinking about the way the earlier klans was if u wasn't blue eyes, blond n pure white which meant no one percent of no other races. U all would be taking a hike down the road
Wait, was there no Suthu occupying this land before it was sold to the Afrikaans people back in 1991 by the National Party? And that was before the elimination of Apartheid too. And If so, what If someday, the original occupants of that land decide to come back to their land, what then happens?
The Bantus NEVER lived in the Karoo. The Khoisans used to go through the Karoo though.
Wow, this town is amazing. I would love to live here.
you better be able to fit in or you get the boot
The ANC think on.....!!
The surname le cornu is VERY FRENCH
True... the Afrikaner came from Europe.
Many Afrikaners have French names.
@@Koosiman they were Hugenout French, exactly. (They created a culture because they were afraid that the Dutch long became a mixed race in the WC)
What the used of a government other thank isolating us from one another
This SHOULD be an EMBARRASSMENT to South Africa.
What's embarrassing is how disgusting town is and all the squatters.
Crime rate is zero!
What, the fact that Orania is a CLEAN town ??
Why?
What I don't understand is that the many races in this world .Every other races can come like Asian , Mexican ,Jews. Latinos Italian.Always just hear no blacks. Make it make sense,
Why can’t Coloureds join? When they speak the same language as Afrikaners.
Because they're closed minded look how the Afrikaners treated coloureds during apartheid.
Because it's about the CULTURE. What is hard for you to understand?? The entire video was about that.
Just because you speak a language, doesn't mean the culture is the same.
@@temporarymonk4022 It’s close enough to speak the same language and have similar bloodlines.
@@trollingizlife2298 Dude. No way you think couloreds have Afrikaner culture.
