Make a Square Knot Link Bracelet: A Silversmithing Tutorial
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 тра 2024
- This tutorial shows how to make a pleasing silver link bracelet with a knot motif. This is an intermediate level project because of some precise soldering and shaping. For materials, I used 16 gauge sterling round wire. If you see me make a piece of Jewelry you'd like to purchase, contact me through my website. As always, I use hard silver sheet solder and a liquid flux, although this time I used some easy paste solder for the final bit.

Thank you! It’s our 17th wedding Anniversary and this was the perfect idea! And a great mothers Day gift, lol, making chain has always evaded me. Thank you so much, as usual, for sharing your knowledge 😊
Happy Anniversary! Glad I could help:)
Your ebook is great! So much to learn.
Thank you Delia! I’m so glad you like it:). Thanks for your purchase!
Now this is a project I will be trying myself! Thank you for the tutorial, much appreciated😊
I’m glad you like it:)
That looks awesome! Thanks for sharing Chad and have a fantastic weekend.
Thank you Gazz! You too:)
Awesome Bracelet!
Thanks Valli!
Thank you Chad. I love this bracelet!
You’re welcome Melinda! Thank you for the nice comment?
Great video, love it
Thanks so much!
Super master 🎉
Aww, shucks....
I used your pick soldering technique on some really tight areas where I was having problems. It works great when nothing else I tried did. Thanks
It’s pretty useful sometimes:)
I'm 5 weeks into a 10 week course in Cheshire, England. It's only a couple of hours a week, however watching your tutorials has helped a lot. Yesterday I was pick soldering! It's not something covered on the course but wow, it's fab! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
I'm setting up my own little workshop at home in Wrexham, Wales and it's safe to say I've got the bug!
That’s awesome Julia! I’m glad you’re having fun with it:)
@@chadssilversmithing have you watched Welcome to Wrexham on Hulu? It's about my home town's football club. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny have bought it and if you like sports at all, it's essential viewing.
Very nice. I definitely tumble polish over night. It’s not fun getting chain caught up in the flex shaft!
Thanks Van!
I've been makeing very simular rings, and this was a nice idea for a matching bracelet as my attempt was a big failure 🙈 Thank you 🙂
I think a long time ago I made one with single square knot links, but I like this one a bit better. Thanks for the nice comment Elin:)
@@chadssilversmithing I've made them in 1mm wire. 1 cirkle Ø1cm that I shape allmost to an 8, then I take 2x6-7cm wires that I shape the same way you did with your shorter ones. Solder them so they stay in shape before I connect all 3 pieces and solder the knot. Then I bend it into a ring, cut and file the ends to a perfect fit and solder it shut. Looks so neat compared to the single knot I think 😊
You're very welcome, good content deserves getting all needed for a better algorythm 😉👌
Cotter pin is the shape you’re making
It does look a bit like a cotter pin Barbara:). Thanks!
