When I first watched the cutscene which shows Sathona and her sisters in Fundament, I recognized that the voice says almost the exact same words that it said to us when exploring the pyramid on Luna, which confirmed that it was indeed the same entity: the Witness.
I have an exo with red eyes and when I heard the darkness say, “we are your... salvation” it looked so badass because my character looked like a whole supervillain.
After playing beyond light, imma be totally honest the expectations were way higher than they should’ve been. Still loved it just wasn’t as cool as I hoped it would be
In the lore, the exo stranger talks about how we lose to the darkness and how, and in the end she wakes up and sees cayde in the tower again basically to say that the timeline started over. I personally believe that that doppelgänger is shown to us so that we remember what ourselves kook like consumed with darkness. Kinda like how before we were going to be frozen by eramis, the voice said “focus within”. I think we will have another moment like that but almost to be consumed with full darkness
The witness: “We are your salvation” Our guardian: “Oh that’s nice, I am your demise, the person who will end you in 2 try’s doing the same thing, ending you like a raid boss just like rhulk!”
Something I keep thinking about since Witch Queen is that the Witness doesn't look like the statue that's everywhere in the pyramids. The VoD raid shows us images of potentially a person inside the traveler, could the statue be of the one who is called the "adversary" by Rhulk?
The statues are other precursor’s souls who helped contribute to the making of the Witness In the Iconclasm level, they say destroy us because they are part of the Witness. By destroying the statues, you release their souls to be free
It's funny looking back at this ending during season 15, season of the lost. All this time the doppelganger we were talking to WAS THE ENTITY. The same Entity that controls the darkness, that controls the pyramid ships, that controls the Viel, that controls Xivu Arath, that now controls the scorn after Calus' expirements on the Glykon ship in the Presage mission. The same Entity Calus spoke to on the Glykon. THE SAME ENTITY THAT IS NOW CHANGING THE SCORN! Sorry for all these caps I'm just both hyped and amazed on how Bungie is tying everything together with the ENTITY that is the literal embodiment of the darkness itself. I honestly cannot wait for Witch Queen!!! Even if Witch Queen doesn't turn out to be all it's hyped up for, I honestly am more hyped up for the lore implications that'll come out of it.
This shit and other teased by the devs makes me think that the darkness enemy will replicate our gaurdians...so we will literally have to fight copies of ourselves. Is it just me or does that sound dope asf😂
As crazy as this may seem, I don’t think this is “The Witness” the pyramid on Europa and on the moon share something in common. “The Winower” statue or “The Lady” statue. They also seem to try and help us hence the “We are your salvation” the pyramid on savathuuns throne world ran by rhulk has a total different atmosphere and uses total different darkness energy. This leads me to believe that there are two different dark fleets, one ran by “The Lady/Winower” and one ran by “The Witness”. In light fall, I think we go up against “xivu arath” and “the witness”, and the final shape, we face “the lady/Winower” to bring light vs dark to a close and there only be good vs evil.
For anyone who has seen S3 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, this one cutscene screams Mortis Trilogy to me when I saw this for the first time. Did anyone else have that vibe too?! Also, Exo Male would make a awesome Thanos in the future!
I feel like an insane twist is coming where we are somehow affiliated with The Witness and it's origins since it says "Don't you recognize us". Why would The Witness say that for no reason? There has to be a connection between The Witness and our Guardian
It's salvation for both the Disciple and those the Disciple destroys to the Witness. It saves those struggling and failing to survive from suffering, and it saves the Disciple from the cyclical destruction and rebirth that the Witness wants to stop.

Darkness: "... that's it! I'm out, taking over the solar system isn't worth this headache!"
That read like its own comedy skit and i love it
because we barely ever talk i feel like over talking would be some sort of attack
Simply magnificent.
😌👏
We, the Guardian, talking-no-jutsu into forcing the Darkness away
Nice
I just noticed something, the doppleganger moves the same way as the witness does at the End of the witch queen expansion which is pretty interesting
Stasis slithers through your pores and burrows into your teeth. The frost gouges the breath from your lungs as your tears shatter and blind you.
The Darkness is devouring you...
but you've never felt more alive.
When I first watched the cutscene which shows Sathona and her sisters in Fundament, I recognized that the voice says almost the exact same words that it said to us when exploring the pyramid on Luna, which confirmed that it was indeed the same entity: the Witness.
Man, the way they move is creepy.
I have an exo with red eyes and when I heard the darkness say, “we are your... salvation” it looked so badass because my character looked like a whole supervillain.
After playing beyond light, imma be totally honest the expectations were way higher than they should’ve been. Still loved it just wasn’t as cool as I hoped it would be
I knew it. Paladin Danse was the darkness all along.
They fucking ad victoriam'd their way into our solar system
In the lore, the exo stranger talks about how we lose to the darkness and how, and in the end she wakes up and sees cayde in the tower again basically to say that the timeline started over. I personally believe that that doppelgänger is shown to us so that we remember what ourselves kook like consumed with darkness. Kinda like how before we were going to be frozen by eramis, the voice said “focus within”. I think we will have another moment like that but almost to be consumed with full darkness
so that’s the witness speaking to us
I just realized that the copy of us is the person the stranger saw in the dark future, it’s us but given in to the darkness
Lol this aged amazingly
after witch queen i can say it is the witness
That explains y the darkness says we are your salvation in beyond light
At 0:37, you can hear the darkness theme🎶
I didn't know Ultron was in Destiny 2
We are your salvation
Me “This isn’t mass effect is it “
Notice how the witness uses "we" and "us" instead of "I" just like in the cutscene after witch queen
The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be.....unnatural
Is it possible to learn this power?
@@invaderjet5946 yeah go talk to Elsie, she'll give you the rundown.
This whole thing feels like when the next villain reveals themselves at the end of a season FINALE
the witness is speaking through the ghost 😳
The male exo voice is just too good
The fact that the darkness talked in my voice more than I’ve talked in my voice is funny to me 😭😭
The witness: “We are your salvation”
Our guardian: “Oh that’s nice, I am your demise, the person who will end you in 2 try’s doing the same thing, ending you like a raid boss just like rhulk!”
It's always chilling when games show your character speaking to themselves or a Doppelgänger
Something I keep thinking about since Witch Queen is that the Witness doesn't look like the statue that's everywhere in the pyramids.
The VoD raid shows us images of potentially a person inside the traveler, could the statue be of the one who is called the "adversary" by Rhulk?
The statues are other precursor’s souls who helped contribute to the making of the Witness
In the Iconclasm level, they say destroy us because they are part of the Witness. By destroying the statues, you release their souls to be free
Don't know if people have noticed this, but the spot in the cutscene is actually in the raid, it's the final part of the first encounter
"Who are you?"
"It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan."
Lady and Gents i introduce to you the Witness
@@Winable_ *megamind
His exo sounds a lot like a final boss
You know maybe the exo stranger wasn't the only one to cross dimensions
Because that was us from the future the exo stranger is running from our future selves
Probably the best version of the Darkness meetup cutscene.
This shit and other teased by the devs makes me think that the darkness enemy will replicate our gaurdians...so we will literally have to fight copies of ourselves. Is it just me or does that sound dope asf😂
With exotic weapons? Fuck....
Imagine a high level player...
Eh a witherhoard duel seems fun
I shoot him he dies
He shoots me i die
i want light guardians vs dark guardians *faction war 2*
@@GothKaida no. Don't make me shoot you.
I think it would have been scarier if they had no lights on for the eco
I believe the reason they show up as our guardian is because it is from the exo strangers dimension where the darkness won.
Ayyyyy.
That's actually it. :-)
The Witness speaking through the Male Exo voice gives me Ultron vibes lol
"We are your salvation."
me:"hold on i gotta finish this dungeon brb"
And soon he will finally achieve the final shape.
Mine was an Exo with black metal and red eyes and mouth so it looked like a demonic Ultron doing that to me
Mine is identical to yours, but has devil like horns for eyebrows..

What just happened
We just got a rude awakening. The endgame is nigh.
@Australia Gaming Theater indeed.
I got chills rn!!!!!!!
Came to this because of the season hype rn. So excited for the years to come
Your guardian is very similar to mine cool
I think our clone is The Witness looking lore and his hands pos
In hindsight, I would have loved it if they would have overlayed the voice of the Witness as we come to know it here.
I think the Witness overlapping voices was a new concept added in Lightfall they came up with, unfortunately
Is this technically The Witness talking to us?
Yes
@@ThePhoenix329 nice
For anyone who has seen S3 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, this one cutscene screams Mortis Trilogy to me when I saw this for the first time. Did anyone else have that vibe too?!
Also, Exo Male would make a awesome Thanos in the future!
Gave my exo woke eyes and when he said salvation it look liked he said REAL SHIT
I feel like an insane twist is coming where we are somehow affiliated with The Witness and it's origins since it says "Don't you recognize us". Why would The Witness say that for no reason? There has to be a connection between The Witness and our Guardian
Darkness making more sense than the travelers bullshit
Wdym?
It's salvation for both the Disciple and those the Disciple destroys to the Witness. It saves those struggling and failing to survive from suffering, and it saves the Disciple from the cyclical destruction and rebirth that the Witness wants to stop.
What if at this point it’s the darkness that returned and not our guardian, I know that isn’t the case but it’s an interesting thought
This a far reach, but I literally am expecting this to happen. Sounds amazing
Nah what if instead the darkness possessed us and is simply lying dormant in our body until the time is right?
@@HighlyUnlikely_ I leave Destiny 2 for a while after grinding killed me and this happens... I need to get back up to date on it. Speaking of that what's max light level now?
