I saw a vintage 59 Rambler Cross Country wagon today and thought of you and this old girl! I asked the owner to tune in to watch you get her going soon, the wagon had the push button tranny, so very cool! Is it Christmas? Cause I got TWO videos from you today! Thank you! But, I didn't get you anything 😢, oh well, take care friend and God Bless!
Sometimes Mr. Freeman, you just have to take a step back and reflect on what's happening to realize your next step! Ask me how I know!! Glad you finally got her in as I am waiting to see how the job turned out. Wishing you the best on your move!
Blanket across the cowl and pull the hood. Shorten up the chain and sting the gib out one more hole. I’m a hindsight specialist bro 😂 lol. Great show. That’s going to be a fun little parts chaser.
I can see your other comment on this video, but I can't respond to it for some reason. If I understand what you're saying, I didn't put it in that way because the tail of the transmission is bolted to a torque tube. It's a bit involved to disassemble & reassemble all of that. Removing the entire rear suspension & axle would be the proper way. It would cost around $400 as well. That's why I pulled the engine to do the front pump seal.
Bobby from NJ. I am 65 and worked on Ramblers, Chevys, and Ford's. Nice video but I guess you didn't realize it's easier when you remove the hood. Lol.
Hi buddy, what u need is a buddy....or maybe an annoying child who is not interested in what you are doing, or even a stupid dog. No, stick to people. And as for building a hoist, you already have one on your garage floor. We in the uk 🇬🇧 call it a winch. Nice sunset. Thought we would see a sunrise in the same video.
being a person.that live in those times. and had my licenses. things were vary laid back. and wild. i had a 52 plymouth cut out doors brush buggy. head lights . tail lights a windshield and all legal. sliced garden hoes on the cut down doors. hell yea.
Aargh!! You're wearing me out! I want to help so bad! I have stabbed hundreds of engins in my 64 years. You need a swivel hook on your cherry picker. When I'm by myself I use a 4' two by four to push backwards. Silly but it's handy. Great job.

That's neat. I appreciate you drumming up some video views. I'm a giver not a taker.

I believe you. Thank you for the well wishes. It is appreciated.

Yeah I know. I was gunnin' for the shortcut but it all worked out. Absolutely it'll be fun.
Good job
Thanks

Yeah the other comment was before I remembered it was not a standard shift,so you’re good..
Getting close to hitting the open road. These cliffhangers of yours are like waiting for part 2 of Batman to come on so I can see what happened next.
That's funny. I'm not trying to make 2 parters. It's just working out that way at the moment.

I know. I decided to take the shortcut & it did not pay off. It wasn't laziness. I thought I could maybe do it quicker.
Mike the chain hook was too long if engine were closer to top bar ...no problem
Agreed.
Bobby from NJ. It looks like you didn't have the hooked correctly.
I might not have.

A buddy would be helpful. It wouldn't be the first time the sun has rose on Freeman's Garage. You just couldn't see it because the door was closed.
I couldn't get a close enough look at your plate what state are you in?
I'm currently in Texas soon moving to Oklahoma. I also have a North Dakota Freeman's Garage location.
You're far from perishing, I predate 1975 no problemo. Are are all moved in now? When can we expect new location videos?
The deal fell apart! Starting escrow all over again. Somewhere around 1-3 months. Hopefully closer to 1 month.

That is cool. Thanks for sharing the visual. I saw something the Monkees would have drove.

I agree on the swivel hook. If it works, is it silly? Thank you. I appreciate you watching. Even if it stresses you out.
@freemansgarage you're a fine mechanic and I love looking over your shoulder.
really you left the hood on.
I agree. This engine is fairly short for a straight six so I went for the shortcut.
