Well, if you got a Root connection, that basically means you got what nearly or absolutely amounts to True Magic, aka. one of the very, VERY few abilities broken enough to give a TYPE an ebola-tier case of the shits. So, hardly surprising.
I love it because it’s kind of just a middle finger to all the mage families that work for generations to reach the root once and return with some cool magic, when Void Shiki has a permanent connection but no desire to do anything with it. They can rewrite reality and grant wishes at will, but they’re completely unknown to the mages association, and spend their whole life in peace.

Given the fact that one can amp their agility and speed(not just reaction speed) and the fact that its an eye that can evolve and have multiple hax like the eye of isnight ,eye of hypnotism and izanagi ( which is minor reality warping which only affects the user , allowing them to avoid death) its a pretty decent eye power not surprised that it has a lot of fans, MEoDP is good but it's limited by it's user's physical abilities and doesn't really boost or amp them (both are cool asf tho)

I know Shiro's eyes aren't considered mystic, but the power to subconsciously scan and memorize all combative mystic codes with a glance, and be able to consciously scan and get near complete information on pretty much any non-living thing sounds like a way better power than mana sensing. Hell, sticking with Shiro its sometimes said his ability to sense magic via 'scent' is inhuman itself, which means he basically has that kind of eye's power as well.
It's more he is so proficient a with Structural Grasp Magecraft with the help of his Reality Marble. He could advance this magecraft this far because of his how Reality Marble works, it analyze and completely record all the information of the object, it act like a library. The amount of information he grasp would actually burn his brain without his Reality Marble.

Pretty high end shit even if he would never be able to use those abilities to their fullest due to his Reality Marble, the very thing that lets him have access to such abilities.
@@kyleroman2744 it’s not just sight either. He apparently uses all his senses to grasp the concept of anything he scans. All mages can do it, but Shirou is just a lot more specialized in doing so. Plus mages use shortcuts to skip most of the process since it is unnecesary for their specialization, while Shirou’s specialized magecraft requires him to be that detailed.

This kinda explains a lot, he has the bloodline of eyes of the 2nd best swordsmith in Japan that specialized in making conceptually cursed swords. He is not a descendent of Masamune, thus, he cannot create divine swords naturally unless he's putting his life on the line. The version of Shirou that became Archer refined his eyes over a long period of time with enhanced detail and even distance, while Saber Muramasa in Shirou's mage body uses that strength inward, basically using shirou's senses and circuits as his own personal internal workshop. Even if Muramasa was a natural mage, he lived his life never knowing what a mage even is, and just poured his heart and soul into making powerful, cursed swords that were second only to Masamune's swords or Divine Swords on the level of Excalibur or the Sword of Kusanagi.
2:15 Correction, Shiki Tohno has "Similar" eyes with Shiki Ryougi, It's not entirely the same. Shiki Tohno can perceive the death of concrete physical existences while Shiki Ryougi specializes in killing concepts and visualizing "events" that stem directly from the Root.

His brain almost explodes from sensory overload but he was able to see the death lines of the planet, but he killed the planet in a limited area. He did this during a fight with Arcueid to weaken her (thus being able to see her lines too).
From my understanding it has everything to do with how the individual perceives death. If you believe that only living things can die then your eyes will only see lines of death on living things. If you believe that “all things end” then everything has lines of death.

Outside of beasts like Arcueid the wounds normally can't really be healed. Tohno can only kill things he can perceive as living, which is basically any physical object or thing he can see, mostly people, animals, objects, trees, things like that. Though it's noted that lines on objects instead of living things cause more strain for him. In Ryougi's case she can kill everything he can and more, including ESP, Bounded Fields, and Magecraft. I'd say that my favorite Mystic Eyes are either Miyamoto Musashi's Heavenly Eyes, which allow her to make a desired outcome "inevitable", thereby allowing her to win against great odds, even if she only has a one-in-ten or even a one-in-sixty chance of winning, or the Mystic Eyes of Balor, the Great Grandfather of Cu Chulainn, whose Mystic Eyes were essentially a superior precursor to the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, essentially allowing him to inflict death upon a target simply by glaring at them.

I do like Tohno Shiki's eyes more that other Shiki, Just because he can't control it and see everything even ground or sky looking fragile like it's gonna break any soon made him a really good character that why I like his eyes more
@@vikasthoutam7586pretty sure she could control it right away as shown when she just woke up in the hospital and has awoken the meodp she initially tried to blind herself bc of it but that's not bc she couldn't control but bc she probably thought something's wrong with her eyes. She even severed the zombies line inside her when she was possessed with it like it's nothing on her first time using the eyes. Tohno struggling with his eyes didn't make him a "more" likeable character to me nor did it make me think his eyes are better. In fact, his personality is hard to handle probably bc he's still a teenager but he's so annoying at times.

Ah the Nasuverse's Dojutsus. I always thought that Shiki Ryougi 's eyes were cool but then realized that since I lacked a connection to the root I'd end up like DEATH (Shiki Tohno) and either go nuts or take drastic measures, so yeah I'd take Fujino's as her issues are due to her past not the eyes

Shiki Ryougi doesn't necessarily need a knife because she can use her fingers for the line tracing but they'll break so she sticks to conduits because they handle the damage better

My waifu Medusa has mystic eyes of petrification 2 anyone into a stone statue. She could even take on Jean Grey the Dark Phoenix & turn her into a stone sculpture of Venus. There's also Anastasia's familiar Vly, who inhabits the form of a doll, uses its mystic eyes 2 generate a frozen tundra blizzard 2 inflict damage, harm upon, & freeze enemies in place.

I'd take Medusa's. Without high magic resistance it's an instant kill. With high magic resistance you'll keep getting weaker until you freeze completely.

Forgive my lack of knowledge on anything outside Fate, but my question is how the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, which in the case of Shiki Ryouji, enable the owner to kill CONCEPTS, are so similar to the power possessed by King Hassan, who can modify the saint graph of literally anything so that it can be killed. Also, can Shiki Ryouji's eyes only enable the owner to kill conceptual things because of the direct connection to the Root or is that an inherent quality of them? If it is inherent, does that mean that King Hassan has Mystic Eyes which do something similar on a much more powerful scale? All we know about KH's power is that it stems from him walking the line of life and death for so long, and that when ever he attacks, his eyes glow red over an otherwise constant blue color. The forms of Medusa are proof that Mystic eyes come with a Servant if they are summoned, so could KH have something like "The Mystic Eyes of Death Impression", from his ability to grant any thing the concept of death. On another note, could Shiki Ryouji kill the concept of death?

She's a 5-star caster servant in FGO & one of the antagonists in LB1 who usurped Ivan the Terrible as the lostbelt king, but @ the end of the lostbelt she was shot by Billy the Kid while protecting her master/husbando/crypter Kadoc from Billy's bullets. I think my favorite mystic eyes have to be V's. I believe they are called the mystic eyes of clairvoyance. They have the ability to create weak points in targets where there wasn't any before hand.
Not really. Shiki has killed Akiha 's origami (which works sort of similar to Fuginon's ability) and has even killed a baddies IMMORTAL SOUL. You can't get anymore non-material than that.

Pure eyes let you see what can't be seen. For Kiri Nanaya he sees emotion in color. For Tohno he sees Akiha invisible hair barrier and death lines. Oh yeah, MEoDP is Pure eyes + Mystic eyes btw. The death perception part is from the pure eyes ability to see what can't be seen. And the ability to interact with death lines are from mystic eyes.
I'm part of a Fate RP and I try to make my own types of Mystic Eyes, which is hard in this universe to get around. Could they in theory verge close to things like First, Second, Third magics? Certain effects were allowed, others couldn't. Anyway I'd like your input on the best range of powers the eyes could possess.

For the Death Perception you need to unlocked it in a experience close to death and reach the "Root". Ryougi Shiki for example already had a connection to the "Root" and then a car accident happened giving her the Death Perception eyes. Tohno Shiki on the other hand had the Pure Eyes of the Nanaya clan(a Demon Hunting Clan) and after an accident where a miracle happened and he didn't die his Pure Eyes mutated into Mystic Eyes more specifically Death Perception ones. Shirou does not have a connection to the root when Kiritsugo found him nor special eyes before his accident.

If the Death Perception ones are really impossible then, What about a ME that worked kinda like the one that twists things? But instead of twisting them it would cut them in half like if a sword was used to cut them, Shirou basically would be able to split things by just seeing them.

Kara no Kyoukai originally released in 1998, and Tsukihime in 2000. The OVAs for Kara no Kyoukai released in 2007 - 2009 though, so that might be where you got confused
I dunno which clips specifically you're talking about but I'm gonna assume you're talking about the clips from Kara no Kyoukai and the Tsukihime remake opening. These are not part of the Fate series but they take place within the same extended universe. Kara no Kyoukai is a novel series that was later adapted into a series of movies by Ufotable and Tsukihime is a visual novel with no anime adaptation.
Sieg might have his own set of Mystic Eyes, since he's able to transform himself into not only the powerful swordsman Siegfried but also the dragon that Siegfried killed with his own sword.

Plus mages use shortcuts to skip most of the process since it is unnecesary for their specialization, while Shirou’s specialized magecraft requires him to be that detailed.

This kinda explains a lot, he has the bloodline of eyes of the 2nd best swordsmith in Japan that specialized in making conceptually cursed swords. He is not a descendent of Masamune, thus, he cannot create divine swords naturally unless he's putting his life on the line.
The version of Shirou that became Archer refined his eyes over a long period of time with enhanced detail and even distance, while Saber Muramasa in Shirou's mage body uses that strength inward, basically using shirou's senses and circuits as his own personal internal workshop. Even if Muramasa was a natural mage, he lived his life never knowing what a mage even is, and just poured his heart and soul into making powerful, cursed swords that were second only to Masamune's swords or Divine Swords on the level of Excalibur or the Sword of Kusanagi.

Shiki Tohno can perceive the death of concrete physical existences while Shiki Ryougi specializes in killing concepts and visualizing "events" that stem directly from the Root.
He's also able to kill concepts, he kills Roa and its implied that he killed his existence and he's unable to reincarnate anymore after that.

His brain almost explodes from sensory overload but he was able to see the death lines of the planet, but he killed the planet in a limited area. He did this during a fight with Arcueid to weaken her (thus being able to see her lines too).
From my understanding it has everything to do with how the individual perceives death. If you believe that only living things can die then your eyes will only see lines of death on living things. If you believe that “all things end” then everything has lines of death.
@@russiandoggo4336 The reason Roa can't reincarnate anymore is because the MEoDP cause conceptual death of the target, which isn't the same as killing a concept. Outside of beasts like Arcueid the wounds normally can't really be healed. Tohno can only kill things he can perceive as living, which is basically any physical object or thing he can see, mostly people, animals, objects, trees, things like that. Though it's noted that lines on objects instead of living things cause more strain for him. In Ryougi's case she can kill everything he can and more, including ESP, Bounded Fields, and Magecraft. Tohno would fry his brain trying to comprehend the "death" of a Bounded Field
I'd say that my favorite Mystic Eyes are either Miyamoto Musashi's Heavenly Eyes, which allow her to make a desired outcome "inevitable", thereby allowing her to win against great odds, even if she only has a one-in-ten or even a one-in-sixty chance of winning, or the Mystic Eyes of Balor, the Great Grandfather of Cu Chulainn, whose Mystic Eyes were essentially a superior precursor to the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, essentially allowing him to inflict death upon a target simply by glaring at them.

She even severed the zombies line inside her when she was possessed with it like it's nothing on her first time using the eyes. Tohno struggling with his eyes didn't make him a "more" likeable character to me nor did it make me think his eyes are better. In fact, his personality is hard to handle probably bc he's still a teenager but he's so annoying at times.

My waifu Medusa has mystic eyes of petrification 2 anyone into a stone statue. She could even take on Jean Grey the Dark Phoenix & turn her into a stone sculpture of Venus. There's also Anastasia's familiar Vly, who inhabits the form of a doll, uses its mystic eyes 2 generate a frozen tundra blizzard 2 inflict damage, harm upon, & freeze enemies in place.

I'd take Medusa's. Without high magic resistance it's an instant kill. With high magic resistance you'll keep getting weaker until you freeze completely.

Forgive my lack of knowledge on anything outside Fate, but my question is how the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, which in the case of Shiki Ryouji, enable the owner to kill CONCEPTS, are so similar to the power possessed by King Hassan, who can modify the saint graph of literally anything so that it can be killed.
Also, can Shiki Ryouji's eyes only enable the owner to kill conceptual things because of the direct connection to the Root or is that an inherent quality of them? If it is inherent, does that mean that King Hassan has Mystic Eyes which do something similar on a much more powerful scale? All we know about KH's power is that it stems from him walking the line of life and death for so long, and that when ever he attacks, his eyes glow red over an otherwise constant blue color.
The forms of Medusa are proof that Mystic eyes come with a Servant if they are summoned, so could KH have something like "The Mystic Eyes of Death Impression", from his ability to grant any thing the concept of death.
On another note, could Shiki Ryouji kill the concept of death?

Not really. Shiki has killed Akiha 's origami (which works sort of similar to Fuginon's ability) and has even killed a baddies IMMORTAL SOUL. You can't get anymore non-material than that.

Pure eyes let you see what can't be seen. For Kiri Nanaya he sees emotion in color. For Tohno he sees Akiha invisible hair barrier and death lines. Oh yeah, MEoDP is Pure eyes + Mystic eyes btw. The death perception part is from the pure eyes ability to see what can't be seen. And the ability to interact with death lines are from mystic eyes.

For the Death Perception you need to unlocked it in a experience close to death and reach the "Root". Ryougi Shiki for example already had a connection to the "Root" and then a car accident happened giving her the Death Perception eyes. Tohno Shiki on the other hand had the Pure Eyes of the Nanaya clan(a Demon Hunting Clan) and after an accident where a miracle happened and he didn't die his Pure Eyes mutated into Mystic Eyes more specifically Death Perception ones. Shirou does not have a connection to the root when Kiritsugo found him nor special eyes before his accident.

If the Death Perception ones are really impossible then, What about a ME that worked kinda like the one that twists things? Kara no Kyoukai originally released in 1998, and Tsukihime in 2000. The OVAs for Kara no Kyoukai released in 2007 - 2009 though, so that might be where you got confused

I dunno which clips specifically you're talking about but I'm gonna assume you're talking about the clips from Kara no Kyoukai and the Tsukihime remake opening. These are not part of the Fate series but they take place within the same extended universe. Kara no Kyoukai is a novel series that was later adapted into a series of movies by Ufotable and Tsukihime is a visual novel with no anime adaptation.
