How long have you been using the wireless charging? I've had it for years now and never used it out of fear that standing it like that would warp the headset. I'm ready to replace it due to worn out leather and I'm debating whether or not I get the S again. Does standing it on its side cause long term damage?
For the Flight S, I don't feel like it's damaging it. Unlike the Cloud Flight which seems to expand the more you use it. If the ear pads are worn, I recommend buying a replacement earpads from amazon. I did that this week for the Cloud Flight headset and it feels brand new.
@Tristin Price - I have only used the wireless charging for the 2 years i've owned the cloud flight s. (I charge it every night, just like he shows in the video). I haven't experienced warping of any kind.
Flight headphone is a bit wider for bigger head. Over time it will get even bigger. For Flight S, the cup is bigger so it fit the head more snug. They look the same but the feel is very different in my opinion. I recommend go to a best buy and try it out if they have it on display.
Hey I'd like a recommendation over here! So, my Hyperx Cloud Flight S stopped working all of a sudden and now hyperx's support is offering me to change them for the cloud 2 wireless, but I really like the bottoms on the left of the flight S, so is it a fair trade or should I ask for something better (which one then?) Because they told me they stopped manufacturing the flight S... Hope someone can help me! Thanks in advanced
I'm in the same situation. I also feel like the Cloud II is slightly downgrade, becuase of the wireless charging, custom buttons and much bigger earpads that the Cloud Flight S have.
@@NeoDioStyle The only downsides to the flight s for me is the sidetone sucks and the sound can be abit harsh at higher volumes. It's strange because the flight X has the best sidetone I've heard
@@chrisnewton2325 I'm confused, with flight X, you mean "HyperX CloudX Flight" right? Here is my long story: (2021) First I bought the "HyperX Cloud Flight" When I got home and tried them on, I found them super uncomfortable so I returned them and got the "HyperX Cloud Flight S" instead and I loved it straight away. Now almost 2 years later they stopped working properly, so I contracted HyperX support. They want to give me a replacement, but they can't give me a new pair of "HyperX Cloud Flight S" because they went out of production. They instead want to give me the "HyperX Cloud II wireless" as a replacement, but when looking at pictures and this review. The ear cups seems alot different in size, and I'm affraid I won't find the "HyperX Cloud II wireless" comfortable to wear on my ears. So I'm kinda hoping that the "HyperX Cloud Flight S" ear cups, can go on the "HyperX Cloud II wireless" headset. What do you think?
@@NeoDioStyle I've tried the cloud 2 wireless and I hated it. It's nowhere near as comfortable as the flight s. The flight s earcups will fit but not well as they are abit bigger then the cloud 2. I think feature wise and sound they are almost the same, but to me to comfort of the cloud 2 wireless isn't as good which is strange because the cloud 2 wired is super comfortable so I'm not sure why it feels like that for me.
There's also a $45 secondhand cloud 2 wireless but it needs a little fix fhat'll cost around $10 to make it good as new. The cloud flight i mentioned is good as new for $45.
@@techbyleon hello, i manage to get it but the right cup is louder than the left one or the left one is just quieter than the right one, do you happen to encounter this issue and know how to fix it?
They are 2 very different feel. The way they fit on your head is also very different. The Cloud II is a bit tighter than the Cloud Flight. Keep that in mind.
If you're comparing headsets, why don't you talk about the audio quality? Kinda pointless review imo
Until the end, I hoped that there would be a comparison of the sound (in particular 7.1 surround) ...
The 7.1 is thin and disappointing. Still a great headset but I never use the 7.1
what about sound quality???? how do they compare?????

thank you for the comparison 👍
Do you think the Cloud Flight S earcups, can be mounted on the Cloud II ?
The 2 earcup mounting point looks different. Flight S earcup seems different and intergraded into the headset while Flight and Cloud II similar.
@@techbyleon I got it working with the Flight S earcups on the Wireless Cloud 2. So much better, now there is room for my big flappy ears!
what its the best in terms of sound in your opinion ? I want to buy flight model but idk if they are outdated in comparison with the cloud II wireless
I have the og Cloud Flight and they sound fantastic, on par with proper 100$ wired non gaming-oriented headphones. Dunno about the other ones.
I have eexactly the same question :c
I own both cloud flight wireless and cloud II wired. cloud II seems to be a bit better than cloud flight

The cloud 2 wireless is pretty much the same headset as the flight s without wireless charging
