I remember Arthur when my wife and I saw him while we were on Vacation in Cape Cod Mass. We went to a little night club off the beaten track and we saw and heard Arthur sing. Boy I'll never forget that night. We were so lucky to meet and hear him sing, his brother was there playing the tenor sax. Boy what a night I'm going back about 40 or so years, but I still remember that night. How lucky could be. Thank you Mr. Arthur Prysock

@ bruce jost - I still have all my 33 1/3 long play vinyl albums by Arthur!! You may be too young to remember those types of albums. I collected them in the early 60's and they are my treasure!! LOVE this man's voice!!
This is real music. Real music. Thanks to my father and uncles, I know the difference of real music. Also thanks for keeping this type of music alive. Bessie
Prysock soft-sells it -- with a sweet reflective thoughtful tone. This was a serious singer. The deepest soul in the world. There'll never be another like him.
The one and only Arthur Prysock - no one could ever come close to that voice!! Did you all notice how fantastic the pianist is in this song?? THIS, my friends, is MUSIC!!
Of COURSE we hear the lovely arrangement by the pianist. It's part of the beauty of this recording.(Listen to the brushes on the cymbals at the very end) . This is a terrific recording. Can't stop playing it!!!
I was introduced to Mr. Prysock's vocals in the 70's, during a time of personal searching and discovery. His sublime metaphors in song were a great help in calming of my mind, and seeking the right way. You might say I found his vocal quality to be very spiritual. And to people-who-happen-to-be-black...how can you possibly say white people are racists? I loved this man. Mr. Prysock was a quality human being.
I am very happy that I had the pleasure to meet Arthur Prysock at the Detroit Playboy Club in 1969, he sang with The Matt Michaels Trio. We spoke of the incomparable Adam Wade. Later Adam took me to Bob Hilliard's House in the Hollywood Hills, and there Bob played Arthur Prysock as we sat by his swimming pool, what a way to look out over the City of Los Angeles far below.
Awesome voice. The sound great music during this era laid the groundwork for the 60s 70s & 80s R&B. The singers were smooth professionals and didn't have it as easy as the musicians do today. They went through turbulent times that accompanied a great racial divide and not very good road/lodging accommodations. They didn't earn millions of dollars but they gave awesome live performances. These musical artists were wonderful entertainers with a loyal fan base Kudos to Prysock and I thank him for sharing such a wonderful voice and being a respectful and responsible trailblazer.
