I had the opportunity and privilege to meet Mr. Prysock several times when he was retired in my island home...Bermuda. He could be seen walking about our small town shops, and greeting everyone who spoke with him. A brilliant entertainer, and always a wonderful, pleasant person.
back then when arthur was performing, you had to have a good voice, with years, and years of experience, also, to be able to captivate an audience!, without cursing, and riming, thinking you have a good voice!!!! you had to be able to make the audience actually feel the song you were singing to them!; thats the mark of a good singer. todays music has none of that sadly. all the best Louie Vaccaro, tenor, las vegas
I truly loved his voice and these wonderful songs with REAL heartfelt meaning. The music industry has gone to hell in a hand basket!!! It feeds off greed while pushing junk food to the young. : (
The great arthur prysock he sang with so much feeling and emotion, one of the best baretones, along with billy eckstine . all the best, Louie Vaccaro, tenor las vegas.
not only was arthur a great singer, he was a gentleman, who sang with a lot of class, and soul.his voice was rich, with feeling, and emotion. almost make you wanna cry. god bless you arthur, and thank you for so many wonderful moments. all the best. Louie Vaccaro, las vegas.
it doesnt take some one special to sing rap with all the cursing. but it takes a beautiful man like arthur prysock, with a golden voice, and god given talent. to put over a song like this, and actually make you feel what he is singing. god bless you arthur, we love you, and miss you, may you always be happy in heaven. Louie Vaccaro, tenor, las vegas.
I Saw Arthur At the JUST JAZZ CLUB in Philly, back in the day. His brother Red, was drinking pretty good at the bar---to the left of the stage, for a half hour before show time. Then, Red ( on sax) opened the show with a long, slow, soul soulful version of Stardust. When he finished the song, he looked out at the audience and said---------------------------------------------------------" Man----I played the shit out of that !!!-----------too cool
I am aware of how magnificent Jimmy Scott was ahave many of his recordings that keep his " Style" forever. I know how close you were to your husband and that he adored you .
Nancy Wilson totally took on the Jimmy Scott sound to create her fabulous voice . It worked for her and I heard say that she copied his sound. They all did good with what they had....RIP Nancy*, Jimmy *.
These wonderful singers are gone with the wind. What in the hell happened to the music industry? The young have no idea who this wonderful singer was. What a shame.
Regis states the album is ‘A Rockin Good Way’ (1985) at the end of the clip. simply awesome ,,but the song he sings is a older song not on the album, ‘how did she look’ .
What the hell happened to the Music Industry? What the hell happened to America? Who controls the Music Industry and what goes on the radio? Certainly not the young folks?
My dad had ‘When I fall in love’ played at his funeral for my mom they were married 70 yrs, true love forever
Smooth as butter...RIP Mr. Prysock.🙏

A great singer
Like my husband he's a rare and true "Song Stylist", doesn't get anymore real than these two interpreters of a lyric. Storytellers.

The Lowenbrau commercial. Love his voice. My dad loved this singing.
To think, the man had a voice and delivery that made so many choke up over a beer commercial.

Hmmm....sounds like he was still in love with this chick.
Extraordinarily rich, storytelling, beautiful voice Mr Prysock had. Unfortunately here you can hear the voice was going.
The song's too big for the show.
