After ranking the best bosses in dark souls and remastering the best, worst, hardest, and easiest bosses in the souls series, I thought it'd be fun to rank the best and worst areas in Souls with you all submitting your votes. And so we did. Then someone suggested ranking the worst and best boss arenas in the Dark Souls series and I thought...why not?
It was a bit of a weird ranking to try and split what I think about a boss vs. the arena it's in, but it was a lot of fun to work out. I hope you enjoy the video, and if you do, be sure to subscribe for more top 10's, boss rankings, and other great gaming content.

Remnant?? Really hope so
I asked before,I'll ask again:will you post anymore speedruns?Just waiting for an answer, will check whatever else you upload in the meantime 'cause it's quality content.
Reasons I had to downvote:
1. Moonlight Butterfly, the bossfight was bad, but the arena wasn't. 'And running behind a boss who shoots magic at you is bad', Gwyndolin
2. The throne watcher loves to jump off the arena -> So it's a 1v1 against Throne Defender (speedrun tactic)
3. Micolash is in my opinion an invader, so running away and hiding behind enemies is just DS tactics. Furthermore you don't have to go in that room. You can kill him with poison knives, gunshots and with running attacks, by not jumping down.
PS: You can parry A Call Beyond
4. I hated that you take 50% of your hp fall dmg. when you want to fight Strayed Demon in DS1, so I kinda miss that here
theDeModcracy fuck you you cur.
Okay, honest question, what is the origin of the, "Moonlight Butter doesn't FLY you iDioT!" come from?
Is it even considered a top 10 worst list without the bed of chaos?
Top 10 worst Souls bosses that start with the letter A
Number 1: Bed of Chaos
*Impossible*
Shoulda replaced Capra Demon with Bed of Chaos. Capra Demon isn't even that much of a problem once you take out the dogs, and if you want to make it easier, you can cheese him by using the stairs and getting him to drop down from the top floor.
Well it feels more like a puzzle, than a actual bossfight
Lmao come on dude that shit was easy as fuck I made a stock acc with normal hp and still killed him
Dark Souls 2: Hold my bee-
Dark Souls: Not so fast
Demon's Souls: Wait a minute you two
It does say something when there's only 1 Demon's Souls arena and 1 DS3 arena and 1BB arenas on here. I don't think FromSoft or the developers that worked on 2 and 1 knew what they were getting into sometimes :( Kind of sad in a way but I guess it shows they did learn from previous mistakes as well.
@@CrazeeAdam honestly i cant stand father gascoignes arena. when he goes beastmode its just incredibly frustrating because you get stuck on those fucking gravestones all the time while he can just smash them. i mean you can lure him up the stairs but that forces you to fight him in a very small space. i am just not a fan of that. also rom in lower pthumeru can go to hell. awful fight in an awful arena
Sandro Guzelj No mate the Gascogne thing is because of your poor spacing. No offence dude :)
@@bradmace9005 dude i can beat him just fine its just that there is too many gravestones imo. but then again he is easy as hell to parry
One of my friends was doing a One Shot Run in DS1 and when he got the the Moonlight Butterfly, after waiting for it to come down he shouted, "FINALLY!!!" Then as he went to face it, she kept going down, and down, and down, and down, until she was completely gone from sight. All he could do was homeward bone out because the Boss LITERALLY left the arena!

I think Bed of Chaos would be a better fight if it were in Sekiro instead of Dark Souls.
This may be just me, but isn't the Divine Dragon kind of like the Bed of Chaos when you think about it? I mean, you use lightning to weaken the boss while avoiding the high-damaging wind slashes and when you finally get the dragon down you walk up to its head for an instant-kill(even if it is for an important item).
Totally see ur point. With jump ability and Indiana Jones whip appendage it would be cool
WhiteShadow aon
Nope. Not at all.
Of course! Why didn't I see it before!? Divine Dragon is a good version of Bed of Chaos! Of course!
Came to the comments to say this lol. I can't get this idea out of my head.
In Scholar of the First sin, if you summon Devotee Scarlet, she will at least emote at the big windmill blades letting you know you're supposed to do something to them.
Pretty cool detail but that's only helpful if you summon
I found a note in front of it that said “torch then rejoice” which helped
Literally the game's tutorial teaches/tells you to look for your surroundings... Smh this people who just don't want to *git gud*
@@milesprower6110 I am a big ds2 fan but really? you need to stand up facing the windmill while using a torch in a fucking sun bright area
@@yahia5476 yeah, welcome to classic King's Field
Alright, in my opinion, the ancient wyvern section is actually pretty fun.
Don’t get me wrong, from a boss standpoint the wyvern is very gimmicky and underwhelming but if you think of it less as a boss and more like just any other regular area, I think that the wyvern section is way more fun than anything from archdragon peak leading up to it. I just think it is a cool concept to navigate around this ruined castle while a dragon try’s to stop you from getting to the end and stabbing him for a one hit K.O. and unlocking the next area.
after dying 5 times to it due to rushing and playing sloppy, ancient wyvern became my least favorite boss by far. Not even a boss, just an area that is annoying to go through.
Yeah, they shouldn’t have framed it as a boss but a cool environmental/cinematic enemy. Seeing a huge health bar but not being able to do any damage to it besides doing a OHKO is so disappointing, it’s like what people think is bad with yhorms fight times 10. But if it was just treated similarly to the lothric castle wyverns it would be a much better experience
At least there's a great boss after wyvern
The only redeeming point of Archdragon Peak was the beautiful architecture and the incredible Nameless King bossfight, and Havel. Everything else is just annoying and frustrating, with the Ancient Wyvern being the most mediocre forgettable boss ever, and the mobs being so fucking annoying
@@yunus-bo2vv the enemy’s are super fun to fight
I am very sorry but I had to pause the video because I had just uninstalled Raid Shadow Legends after 1 month of a lot of insistence, but finally gave up due to its ATROCIOUS monetization and ridiculous energy system.
And let me tell you about it!
The "silver" the regular money you earn is spent even to unequip gear from your heroes, if you don't want to LOSE them, making customizing for different bosses and scenarios and PvP almost impossible, if you are not swimming in silver.
It's 2019, and this game has energy. This should sum up pretty much how freemium this game is. You have so much stuff to do yet so little energy. You might be getting a lot of it in the beginning like I was, but once you start to receive quests that make you drop certain specific gear, with minimal % rates, you understand how they manage to suck your energy away. You are usually either leveling in the campaign (best place for xp) that sucks to get good gear drops, or you are dropping gear in "dungeons" or you are dropping some "potions" to "ascend" (increase base stats) herores in other dungeons, or you are killing the Minotaur in its dungeon to drop some scrolls that also customize a passive tree for your hero. And the xp in dungeons is usually terrible compared to campaign on purpose, to force you on using even more energy, because guess what? THEY SELL ENERGY, AND SILVER. Remember when I said that silver was spent to change gear? It is also used to upgrade gear, and unlock heroes and ascend heroes and you get the point.
Oh yea, and ALMOST EVERY SINGLE AREA is just 3 zones with waves of enemies to defeat, sometimes with a boss at the end. It gets stale so quick the only reason I got to play it for long was because I actually almost never play turn based RPG games so this one felt "fresh" for me. Now I had just got into weeks of hiatus, tried again, remember it wouldn't improve its store, and gave up. If I'm going to play a game that is screwing me or limiting me just to try and take my money, I might actually do it with Dark Souls which I already paid for and I KNOW it's trying to fuck with me!
The PvP is not even a real pvp. You fight against a pre-set team that another player built, and fight that team controlled by an AI, and the balancing of the PvP is HORRIBLE because it's basically non existent. Heroes do have a power meter, but it is not rounded down or anything in earlier ranks, meaning that you may find full teams of lv 50 heroes (max being 60) fully ascended in the SECOND RANK, bronze 2. Oh, and remember how in order to be a little forgiving they let you not lose rank up to a certain point so you don't get too demotivated? Not in here, you can go back to bronze 1 if you mess up. Also, while people attack your team controlled by an AI which might not even use the right skills in the most optimal sequence, you lose rank. So you might grind with some effort, go to bed, them boom, down 1 or 2 ranks because people picked your team to fight against.
The "fight against bosses with your clan" is the most deceptive message I've seen in some years! What actually happens is that the boss has a shared HP and every clan member fights it *individually* and get a reward for doing a certain amount of damage to it. For a game named "Raid", not having any raid with multiple players seems pretty ironic.
And now for the best part: The store. They try to sell loot boxes with heroes inside for egregious prices, usually the one that comes with the best box, that doesn't even guarantee the best rarity hero is the price of a released triple A title, AT LAUNCH! That is the most ridiculous price I have seen in years! "Hmm I wonder what I'm gonna do, get Cyberpunk, OOOOR A LOOT BOX?" And of course they don't expect you to buy it without a discount, that is what anchoring is for! Now that you found this price absurd they will eventually pull up a "limited time" offer with a certain % of discount for you to believe that price is actually worth it, because you know, obviously a digital loot box with not even guarantee for a legendary hero is worth the price, discounted. Obviously. (not)
If you are against the predatory practices that EA and Ubisoft have been implementing, do yourself a favor and don't play this game. The core game is pretty ok, but the monetization is simply evil.
I'm sorry for posting this, DeMod, but as a person who is worried with the integrity of how other gamers might become prey of egregious schemes, I cannot recommend this game at all.
Douglas Camara great comment
Welcome to random mobile hero-based game. It's like a TCG, only with endlessy more hassle to get an actual good card/hero. They spent a lot of money, taking in a lot of popular UA-camrs to promote an average game. It's just lineage 2 all over again.
Try Girls Frontline. I like it well enough. Not too bad on the monetization, plenty of opportunity to get the premium currency, great music, the story and lore is interesting, the waifus are cute and range from loli to mommy, and the gameplay is very strategic, leaving plenty of options for different builds. I'm fairly new, but the last event had over 2 hours of story and unique game play mechanics.
It’s just a safe bet to never touch any mobile games that get advertised on UA-cam, every single one is a shitty cash grab grindathon
While I agree I think this comment belongs elsewhere.

You kidding me? Bed of chaos is my favorite boss AND arena!!! It gets WAY too much hate, and was my favorite boss in the series!!!
Artorias on the other hand, SUcKED!!! Why would you give a boss a sword AND a broken arm??? WAY too hard considering he couldn’t defeat the abyss but is somehow able to give me trouble, someone who EASILY dispatched the 4 Kingz. STUPID.
And DONT get me started on Soul of Cinder...

I knew bed of chaos was first
Didn't see the video yet
preyfx not even that bad its mad fucking easy with the quit and reload method, the fucking dragon on the bridge is way worse
HaZeD x the dragon on the bridge was 10x easier. All u have to do it stand on the side for 10 sec to bait it out then run past it.
I hated that fight
bed of chaos is the worst boss with the worst arena
Bed of Chaos may be easy, but that's because the developers knew just how shit the boss was, and added checkpoints. It's the worst boss in the series not because of it's difficulty, but because it's so badly designed.
At least this wasn’t sponsored by raid: shadow le- oh wait...
I actually like the Old Iron King’s boss arena-thematic, colorful, invigorating, and if you’ve been keeping with the lore the whole time, exciting. It was tough (if you didn’t know how to hide behind the wall), but it was a thoroughly enjoyable boss fight and extremely satisfying. One of my favourites, really.
I will never understand the animosity towards Old Iron King! I've perfected DS2, and I have fallen into that hole ONCE.
My top 3 worst boss areas:
1. Bed of choas
2. Capra demon
3. Ancient dragon
Ancient Dragon was up there. I couldn't decide whether it was the arena's fault that I had no where to run or the Dragon's fault for having the gargantuan range that covers his giant arena
@@theDeModcracy I don't think Ancient Dragon's arena's too bad honestly. The boss is ginormous, and his arena is ginormous to make up for that. And it's certainly ample size.
I think his arena's super boring, but I don't think it's too bad honestly! :D
Ancient dragons arena isn’t that bad, it’s the right size for the boss and looks pretty nice with the dragons flying around on the sky. It is really empty but so are roms and gaels arena.
Ah yes, I love when the game makes me choose between death by gravity or becoming crispy bacon because the dragon's back is right to the edge of the arena

Bed of chaos?More like bed of bullshit
please nerf old iron king's hole, it's the most unfair and overpowered enemy in all of dark souls
can i just say i died just as many times on that hole the smelter demon
I think I'm the only person alive that has never fallen in that hole lol
@@jmarra07 Neither have I. But it's only a matter of time.
i didnt really find the hole problematic. the boss is all about staying on his face and perfectly dodging every hit. Thing is, you dont need to dodge behind you on any of the attacks, they only require horizontal movement. thus eliminating the possibility of rolling into the hole
the thing with the old iron king is that all his attacks have so much knockback that he could throw you int the hole with only one hit and i'm sometimes really greedy and he launche me int the hole
I disagree about Micolash. It's a boss fight that's supposed to be a chase. Branching paths are necessary to make it not feel like a beeline.
I'd personally add Maneater from Demon's Souls toward the top of this list. Two of those things coming after you on a tiny narrow bridge is pretty rough.
Me: "Demod is really out of ideas, he's just squeezing the Souls series until the last drop!"
Also me: "How do I like this twice?"
Well someone actually asked him to make this video.
The moment I read the title I immediately thought, “Bed of Chaos is #1”.
That is very apt given how the Bed of Chaos is basically Old Iron King's Hole times infinity. There are holes everywhere and the few attacks she has are the only ones she needs to kill you because of it. I don't like when a game turns the odds against you that far. It's more frustrating than fun and those responsible for its creation seem to agree since even they basically said "Woops! Sorry, this kinda sucked." Luckily, they learned from it to an extent since not even the boring ganks from Dark Souls 2 reached that level of dicketry. Then they knocked it out of the park with Ludwig which was tough yet really epic.
It's literally the worst thing made in gaming history, it's probably the only reason that keeps me from going back to DS1
I honestly don’t agree with it though. Bed of Chaos being a bad boss is what makes the arena bad. Capra Demon’s arena is worse imo. Hell, butterfly, Taurus, Iron King, Ancient Dragon, and Ancient Wyvern were all worse imo
You missed a chance for a great segway:

I burnt the windmill of Earthen Peak in my first playthrough of DSII. But DSII does a pretty good job of letting you know that exploring the map is important, so I actually just stumbled across the windmill burning part. You’d only have missed it if you were rushing through the game. lol
How would someone know that a metal windmill could be burnt down when you never do anything like that before or afterwards?
Hateful Gaming Again, DS2 does a pretty good job of rewarding you for exploring the map.
@@VexJinks "Exploring" bruh. if you explore, you will find the windmill, sure. BUT, after finding the windmill, how do you figure out "Ah yes, using a torch to burn this will cause something to happen." Are you an arsonist? Because there is no logical way to come to that conclusion besides sheer luck or literally trying everything on a random object which could just be scenery.
The stairs on the Capra room can be used for plunging attacks, making the boss a lot easier. It actually rewards you for thinking out of the box.
No
The plunging attack is the most reliable move in the game!
Also, three bosses in a row with a plunging attack
Yeah have fun plunging when the boss is directly beneath the platform and not where you'll land
I just had a random thought; the bed of chaos would have actually been decent if it was a Sekiro boss.

Nah just use the firebomb strat.
I feel like Nito and Giant Lord deserve an honorable mention:
- When fighting Nito you're encouraged not to use half of the arena, since doing so will aggro the big reviving skelly bois.
- Giant Lord's 'arena is just a small space on a wall where if you move too far back, you will get bombarded by a bunch of bullshit balls. Thankfully the boss is ridiculously easy to compensate.
Also fall damage to reach the boss arena
If you stay away from Nito, avoid his attacks, a divine weapon permanently gets rid of the giant skeletons on the other side of the arena. There is away to get around the skeletons, like how a divine weapon helps when you are in the process of killing the nectomancers.
You actually just tank Nito AOE attack since it will kill all of his minions and you have time to heal. Unless you're speedrunning,Nito arena aren't that bad,it just depended on player state
1. Nito is not even a problem from close up and kills the skeletons (even divine weapon can get rid of them forever)
2. You are literally in a war
In defense of the Centipede Demon, the developers put a corpse with an item on it on the right side of the arena once you enter. It lures you to a piece of land that's large enough to comfortably fight the boss.
It's the only boss I managed to defeat on my first try, thanks to that eye-catching item.
The "eye catching item" that you can't see until actually going over there? Lol
@@BigBHole69 LOL that’s so funny!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I honestly think micolash is fine, the fight feels like the DeS style of riddle-type boss but it actually gives you an actual fight afterwards
Nah, he's not. One-shotting you with his Call beyong after running away like a coward...
The skeletons also don't help much.
He's just annoying. Nothing else.
I'd count the sekiro well loneshadow boss arena in there, my camera spazzed out so much I still get ptsd when im stuck in a corner
ugh, i had the same experience. And honestly fighting his other versions later on in the game wasn't so bad, just repetitive. But the first one.... At least he doesn't use terror.
Sekiro isn't souls
Agreed! That guy can go f*** himself.
@@seth1581 but it has appeared in Demodcracy videos for the souls series. I imagine both sekiro and Bloodborne were contenders on this list, just none of the arenas from those games made it
@@haydeng3316 I would classfiy Bloodborne as a "souls game" purely to the mechanics, boss fights, online co op and pvp, as well as small things such as gestures, fashion, and HUD. Dark souls and bloodborne are strikingly similar in all these ways while Sekiro lacks many of them. That doesn't make it bad, I just feel it shouldn't be classified in a series with defined characteristics. Not every game From publishes can be categorized as a souls game nor is every difficult game a souls game.
To be honest I've always found the Four King's boss arena bad. Still, the abyss is a pretty cool place to battle a boss/bosses, but I find it hard sometimes to properly judge distance because of the complete darkness. I always find myself dodging either way to early or way to late. Have to git gud I guess
I fucking hate the 4 kings fight. I had to get help from a phantom to finish it
Four Kings are a shit boss.
There's your problem, your trying to dodge them. Unless you're doing a no-hit run, the 4 Kings are easy asf, just use Havel's set and just tank the hits. The 4 Kings are the easiest of the 4 Lords in DS1 imo.
It's a weak boss in terma of design but the aesthetics of it are incredible.
@@YEs69th420 Literally just an empty black area.
I personally like bosses that deviate from the norm of dodge and attack. And both wyvern and micolash are neat examples of that, they are not made to be a wall for the player( we got a lot as it is) but rather a fun encounter, and their arenas play very well into that.
The problem is once you are in one of those rooms and out of his line of sight he might as well not exist since he cant hit you and it becomes just a standard level.
If you stay close to Micolash in the second phase you can easily defeat him by always dodging his tentacle attack by sidestepping. He won't use "A call beyond" like that.
>imagine how much better the MLBF fight would be if you had to go through an obsticle course, dodging the butterfly's hazards until you get to the end and shoot an arrow at it
"Oh, this guy must like the Ancient Wyvern fight"
>Ancient Wyvern show up higher on the list
Bruh
Well, the wyvern doesn't do anything and just waits there whilst you run around fighting boring enemies and it's not even really an obstacle course, but I see your point.
"Obstacle course with the boss atacking you aggresively to then shoot the boss so it falls for you to have an actual fight" is what he meant
Not "walking through and easy path with some enemies in it while the boss does absolutely nothing apart from throwing easy to dodge flames now and then and oneshot him"

Maneater needs a mention. Because of his attack pattern if you are locked on and roll you can end up going the opposite direction straight into the abyss for no damn reason. The difficulty in the boss itself is hard but add the tiniest damn ledge to roll off to have the pain. There is also a mini boss in Sekiro towards then end who has a second person in the arena with them and its on fire, to add to the pain its a tiny arena and the guys entire attack sets are huge area of effect swings

I find it dumb that he dies just because you hit his arms enough times. There should be a second stage where he loses one arm, then another, and then maybe some lava solidifies when his arms fall into it so that the area becomes bit larger for the final stage where he mainly crawls and breathes fire, or idk.

what would've been cool with the Moonlight Butter: have a long, winding and kinda broken bridge that you have to run across. Mr. Butterfly will always land on certain grass spots to pause, so it's more a catching up with him so you can get some hits in to take him down. And with that the ranged fighters also have to actually do something outside of firing projectiles.

I've never had a problem jumping to the larger area with Centipede Demon, he stays on land the whole time over there too, always been one of the easiest bosses for me
Dark souls was slightly claustrophobic and put you out of your comfort zone, which is good.
Having boss fights that have small arenas purely to make it a bit more challenging is a bit cheap though.

I never once died to old iron kings hole😂, although the area between the 1st and 2nd bonfires in iron keep annoyed the hell out of me😂
One that I hate but would understandably fly under the radar is the 2nd time you fight the pthumerian descendant in the room with the pillars. He can hit you through them but you can't hit him for a start, 2ndly there is so little space to move and he is one of the fastest, most aggressive hard hitting bosses so as soon as you back into a pillar (which is all the time) your dead lol.
THIS
I think this is your first ranking video where I went "yeah that's about right" to every single entry.
It's surprising how many DS1 entries are on this list - I adore DS1 but it is probably the most uneven entry in the series, with the highest highs and the lowest lows. That's part of why I was so disappointed with the remaster - there were so many things they could have fine tuned and they botched it.
Pc support also botch
@@Spartan-ek8ih No, that's one of the few things the remaster actually got right.
@@MusicVersa eh. It could have been better since it was released in 2018. Perhaps more graphics settings and an option for frame rate, also controls were a lite janky as this was a thing that was not fine tuned mentioned in your comment, its support is still better than ds2 however
@@Spartan-ek8ih It is amazing though how good these games are that we all just deal with the nonsense bullshit they find acceptable when industry standards have been leagues better for years. Now, obviously Skyrim is the posterchild for bullshit rerelease nonsense, but considering they removed the original version from Steam, and then didn't really make any improvements to the rerelease of DS1, and the absolute dogshit PC support for DS3 (haven't played DS2 myself), FromSoft truly are fully leaning on how good the gameplay and the atmosphere can be.
@@dig8634 its true though. Only fromsoft seems to even just remotely get away with it
Micholash's arena is one of my favorites tbh
I feel like Moonlight butterfly with an obstacle course would end up exactly like the Ancient Wyvern...
I think they should have just made a longer bridge, and put a ballista or two there, like in The Pursuer's arena. However, the Butterfly will never stupidly land on the wall itself to recover, and instead either land somewhere on the tower, or even on the Fog Gate itself.
I think the ancient wyvern fight would make more sense if it was a butterfly though... i mean... its a butterfly. A one hit kill makes sense.
Before I watch the video, Bed of Chaos is gonna be #1. I'm calling it.
I see that I'm not the only one who predicted it.
5:28 don't mind me, just making a timestamp for that cackle, thanks
Apparently Micolash was supposed to be a friendly npc early in development
Honrable mention for the Demon Firesage. Getting stuck on those roots and branches is so much fun.
When DeMod uploads..
It's a great day!
Breakdown breakdown
@@belatoth4494 Let the voice of love take you higher.
The twin ape arena from Sekiro is an honourable mention IMO, mostly for the same reasons you gave for Throne Defender.
Except the second ape spawns in after you drain one lifebar and is way less aggressive than the first one and so you can draw them apart. Throne Watcher and Defender come in a package and their aggressiveness is about equal safe for one of them going randomly AFK during the fight.
In regards to Mytha, the phantom you can summon actually directs you to the windmill. So im sure alot of people found it on their first run :)
I didn’t expect a raid shadow legends sponsor tbh.

Also half of these are DS2, which Miyazaki did not have anything do to with.
Mark Hogan. There are 4 Dark Souls 1 areas and 3 Dark Souls 2.
I should also mention 3 of the 4 Dark Souls 1 arenas are the top 3. The moment where he starts listing a bunch of Dark Souls 2 arenas was just him explaining why the Throne Watcher and Defender arena was so bad as the area had not break off points. Yet many gank fights in the game had designs that would make the fight easier.
I loved the magic of first going through the forest and up those stairs and the music starts. So early in game too
Don't forget if you find moonlight butterfly annoying to fight, reverse hollowing and look in a bush under the stairs to the boss room and there will be a mage you can summon who will kill it for you.
As soon as I saw the notification I immediately screamed: "BED OF CHAOS, OBVIOUSLY." lmao
Demon Soul : Maneater two gargoyle that can 1 shot you on top of arena that is basically just a ledge, too many people cheese this boss when demon soul first release, and the trip to the fog gate will make you want to throw the controller to the monitor. A lot of bosses in demon soul will make you scream how the heck do you even kill this thing.
Dark souls 1 : Bed of chaos nothing much to say
Dark souls 2 : Old iron king, lost count how many time i died due to that small lava hole on first run.
Dark souls 3 : Not many bad bosses arena design in this game, but the worst probably ancient wyvern
Bloodborne : Agree with Micolash here.
I've drained the poison from mytha in both of my playthroughs and I had NO IDEA that the windmill was what was doing that. I thought the arena was just like that
To be fair, many of these arenas make for very memorable boss fights. I can still remember many of these bosses years later, whereas some of the ones in “generic” arenas are forgettable.
That's why I kinda like bed of chaos, it's very different. Most of dark souls 1 bosses felt pretty unique and memorable from each other. On the other hand, dark souls 3 bosses to me started to kinda blur together.
@@LastExile123 dark souls 3 is the best dark soul for me the map is amazing the boss are amazing everything is amazing for me
The problem is you remember them for the wrong reasons
@@LastExile123 also don't give that shitheap of a boss any credit, just because something is original doesn't mean it's good
Younglings Slayer 3000 Nah. Dark Souls 3 has the most forgettable arenas, bosses, and locations in the Souls series. The best boss arena in base DSIII is Archdragon Peak, and that’s kinda sad when you think about it (To be fair, Archdragon Peak is one of the best locations in any Souls game, though).
I killed mythas in the poison, cant describe how pissed off i was
Dat music at the beginning!!
that Raid: Shadow Legends has sucha high rating just shows how many bot ratings are in the app store.
The first time I fought the ancient wyvern I thought where he was stood was the whole arena, safe to say that was they hardest boss of the game for me lol.
James Caine Actually if u stand on the spot where there is a shinny, its attack cannot reach u.
The Maiden Astraea arena was great. It was thematically suited for what it was, and the fact that there are multiple options for engaging the boss is fantastic. I would love a Demon's Souls Remake.
Zen Hydra multiple options doesn’t mean much when all of your options are garbage.
Honestly spent a good 5 seconds waiting for the "skip ad" button when Raid came on screen 😅
I just absolutely love your videos please keep it up
Bed of chaos was a joke my first playthrough and has been ever since but that capra demon arena still makes me rage quit like a bitch. It's honestly more beneficial to cheese him from outside the room. Saves time and frustration.
I don’t know about the worst one but one of the best ones is definitely gaels arena.
I would say Orphan of Kos' is great as well. As is Gehrman's.
I would put in for the nameless king as well
SOC's arena is cool as well, as well as both Gundyr's. Champ's arena's darkness makes it one of the best for me.
Sir Alonne's area has some really cool arched windows and mirrored floor too. Since we mentioned Bloodborne's bosses, Rom's lake is stunningly beautiful.
When I first fought centipede, the immediate layout of the arena made me think the fight required running around. I ended up beating him on the far right island. Arena is still trash tho
I'm surprised that seath is not on this list. That tail just gives me nightmares.
Yeah, with Mytha I didnt know about draining the poison until I looked it up; I always thought by default there was solid ground because I always set the windmill on fire. I just had the torch out the first playthrough and stumbled on it by accident, and so I did that every playthrough
Demon of Hatred is pretty much the centipede demon on steroids with a better arena.
YES, It's the video I've been waiting eons for. Nut worthy
Amazing bro! Heeey were can i find the minature picture? Of the capra demon
We already know Bed of Chaos is number 1.
I didn't know you could plunge attack ancient wyvern on my first playthrough so i just fought the shit outta him it took like 45 minutes
Disagree on Micolash. Is so original, is a great idea and a funny match up
It is funny, until you're on your 10th time killing him, then it's just annoying and repetitive
lol in my first playthrough I was lucky enough to light the mill on fire, only because I couldn't see very well due to an older TV, and I haven't seen the poison covered version of the room until this video
Interesting tidbit about burning the windmill in DS2 to make Mytha's boss fight easier. If you summon a Phantom before getting there, that phantom will point to it after dealing with the Grave Warden guarding it. Not to mention that there's also a bonfire nearby to light a torch. Makes me think that bonfire was placed there deliberately by the devs to get you to do this.
5:29 When you fight against Bed of Chaos
about all you can do to maintain your fucking sanity against it.
This was me when getting one shotted by manus for 3 hrs straight
when you fight a giant fire demon with um the fire infused long sword ughhhhsloooooo clap
Old Iron King
You can bait out where he pops up and hide behind the wall when he does his fire breath. Even if he doesn't pop up where you want, you can get the distance to help dodge his fire. His fight just takes a bit more strategy.
Watcher and Defender"
There are 2 good summons right on the doorstep of Throne Watcher and Defender (Vengarl and Behnart of Jugo). This is in DaS2 v1.0. So, maybe it's different in Scholar.
moonlight butter doesn't fly is a phrase that continues to haunt me years later
seriouly Capra Demon area so bland it need upgrade from IKEA
u should do hollow knight and blasphemous next
I'd love to give Blasphemous a look!
@@evanczthehunter57 he didn't complete the pantheon of hallownest as far as I know
Capra demon's arena can be completely circumvented by standing underneath the archway outside his fog door, looking up, and tossing dung pies into the sky. If you get lucky and land that sweet spot, the Capra demon will fall. Smough and Ornstein's arena can be made easier during the super Ornstein battle. If you let Smough destroy a few of the pillars before killing him, you can hide behind one of the pillar stumps when Super Ornstein starts shooting lightning at you. If you are a mage, this is the perfect angle for you to blast him where he can't provided his AI doesn't catch on and move elsewhere. Hope this helps.
