Thank you for this video! I know nothing about sewing and embroidery, but I am trying to learn. I have been looking into purchasing this machine. Your work is great!!
Good afternoon! Your work looks amazing.. love the colors together.. I am SO glad I came across your video… not only did I learn what I was looking to find out about this machine and so much more but you made me feel so welcomed! Out of all the videos I have watched this is by FAR the BEST one. Thank you again… Hope you have a fantastic year!
Thank you for making this super detailed video about this machine. All your commentary was so helpful! I'm looking to start my own small embroidery business and your video was so uplifting and motivating!! Thank you!
@@PATCHBOYDARB would you have any hesitation buying a used PRS100? Amazon price is attractive but finding the right used machine would obviously be favorable since this is for hobby only.
Awesome video!! I just received my Brother PRS100 and am setting it up. I am excited to see patches are do-able on this machine. Do you have any videos of how you "finish" a patch after you finish stitching it? I'd love to see the process.
You are awesome in your presentations - hope you will show us how you did the puffy - we have a brother 6 needle - 4 needle Janome - 4 single needle machines - 1 brother single needle machine - we are on a military base and do 100's on military name tapes and US ARMY tapes. We use to have a trailer that was a store in one door out the other doing military bases - vfw - America Legions bike events 12 states 16 years till health issues had to stop and now permanently at base. We have over 40,000 military patches- keep up the great work
Oh wow!! How were you able to get a military contract/job if you don’t mind me asking? Thats unfortunate medical issues caused you to stop traveling, but we’re happy to hear you’re still doing embroidery. Also are you running all those machines still? Thank you so much for sharing, this awesome motivation for us to continue growing.
@@PATCHBOYDARB can I actually pay you to teach me online? I have the machine and have not used it since I purchased it. I know a little but I need to know much more.
This was a very informative video, thank you! If you need to do multiple of the same patch, is there the option to do the same color step multiple times before moving on to the next color? Or is there an option to do multiple patches in the same hoop before moving on to the next color?
Hey Kate, That is a great question! We typically complete one patch before going on to the next. We don’t stitch out one color all at once just in case we lose stitch registration. But that would be a great video to demonstrate!
needles don’t play that much into the quality. It has everything to do with the motors and bobin. It has a industrial bobbin unlike your other brothers so that’s where your quality is coming from
Hello! Me and My wife are planning to start our embroidery business in India. Were thinking to start with brother PRS100/VR, could you guide us if that machine is good for logo work on readymade garments? or by your experience we should explore more options?
Which format you need is determined by the machine you are stitching with. Brother and Babylock machines use PES. Other brand machines require a different format. Most companies that sell digitized files include all or most of the formats in use.
I agree with you they need to be more transparent about this machine. I for one will not be buying it.Some of us are retired and are not able to pay a $13.00 fee to use this machine. Thank you for your viedo. You answered my question whether to buy it or not ...not. I do like the magnetic hoop. The designs are awful. Thank you. Will be back to visit you.

It was so fun to watch you make the patch. I have a Persona and have had one problem right after another, you’re giving me hope. Thank you!
Hang in there and keep practicing. There is a lot of trials and errors that come with machine embroidery.
Thanks so much for your Brother Persona tutorial, Very thorough on threading the machine, personalizing brand and packaging orders.
Thank you for watching! It definitely helps taking the time to personalize your brand’s packaging and presentation.

Yes we do have a video for finishing the patch.

you make great videos. thank you! I would like to get the Persona machine now!
Thanks for watching! As long as you don’t mind the single needle and max embroidery area, the persona is great.
Awesome 😊
Great digitizing!... the quality on that patch is 100! Let us know if there is anything special about that needle.
Thank you 🙏🏾 The needle has an orange marker, but idk what it is exactly yet, but I’ll let you know if I find out 😊
What is the largest hoop size that can be used for this machine?
I have honestly enjoyed watching the entire video and learned alot from it as well.
Thank you
How much is this brother PRS 100
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed our content. The PRS100 is around $4K by itself.

@@SBeex2 is there something specific you are trying to learn?
Thanks for answering to my other comment. I want to get into embroidery but I have a question how do you come up with designs that you want to sell?
You can start off making designs based off hobbies that interest you, or find a niche that doesn’t have much presence in the embroidery world.
This was a very informative video, thank you! If you need to do multiple of the same patch, is there the option to do the same color step multiple times before moving on to the next color? Or is there an option to do multiple patches in the same hoop before moving on to the next color?

@@PATCHBOYDARB Thank you for the response!
Great video and really cool patch design! What program do you use to digitize your patch (if that is the right term?)
Thanks for asking! We use Wilcom Hatch.
Thanks so much for the tip!
What software did you use? Loved the video!
We use Wilcom Hatch Digitizer, thanks for asking!
love my Persona feel the same way..
What type of fabric do you use for your patches?
I use duck cloth. It is available at Joann’s.
Sorry if i sound silly, but I just wanted to check if the start stop button on the persona machine is a bit loose?
The button doesn’t seem loose to me, but It’s not a super firm button either.
What sizes can this machine embroider up to?
The Person can embroider a little over 7.75 x 7.75 inches from our experience.
I just bought one of these, would I be able to use one in an apartment building? Like is it noisy? Haven’t really started using it yet
It can get noisy at the higher speeds. Would not recommend running it after hours for sure.

Thank you for sharing this info! I did notice that the quality doesn’t change when I use different needles.
Why do you not use tension spot number 3 ?
Tension spot 3 above the threads is for filling up the empty bobbins. Is that what you’re referring to?
@@PATCHBOYDARB yes thank you that is what I was referring thanks for the clarification
where did you buy it
I purchased it from Rocky Mountain Sewing & Vacuum here in Colorado.
Hello! Me and My wife are planning to start our embroidery business in India. Were thinking to start with brother PRS100/VR, could you guide us if that machine is good for logo work on readymade garments? or by your experience we should explore more options?
The Persona is a great machine and will get the job done. The only downsides are that it’s a single needle and has a max hoop size of 8 x 8 inches.
Hello friend. A query, in what format you export the file to read this machine?
We export our files as PES format. Thanks for asking!
