Some of my springs won’t tighten it to the ceiling. It dangles down. And I’ve pushed the inside canister as far as it will go up

Very helpful! Is there a way to replace just the outer ring without having to mess with the entire housing (baffle and mount springs)? I just don’t like the color of my current outer rings

The springs don't go in anywhere near that easily.

I notice that you adjusted the socket mount above that screw that sticks through the side. The instructions that came with the halo H71CAT make it seem like this is not intended, though it is not very clear. Do you know if this is okay?

If only the painters I hired had consulted this video, instead they just tugged out the trim ring and stretched out the springs, leaving them dangling.

@@SharonStroudBroussard i just stretched the spring until it was tightand twisted it. Might be a pita to do a repair after the fact but that's pretty rare.

A DIY video probably should not instruct people to stick their hands inside an electrically hot light fixture.

just saying but if you get shocked doing this thats natural selection

@@husher5142 And if someone dies because of they followed the dangerous instructions of a DIY video, and the creator of the video gets sued by the family, loses everything, and dies of starvation, that's natural selection too. Just sayin'.
