I hardly trust ppl from the amount of times I’ve been screwed over. I’ve learned that most people disappoint. However, this doesn’t make me untrustworthy because I have no interest in doing that to others. I already know what it feels like to be betrayed.
Amen to that! People always ask me, "Why don't you want to hang out?" And my answer is always, "I'm a really private person." I've also been known to say things like, "I don't hang with people I work with, and I don't work with people I hang with." That usually gets a weird look, but then the expression of understanding sets in. I'm sorry that you've had similar experiences as me: that people just suck. But you're definitely right that just because someone screwed you over, doesn't mean that you'd do that to others. I know this from experience, too. I don't trust others because they've consistently broken my trust and I don't want to get that close to someone again, but I also wouldn't go out of my way just to hurt someone. It takes too much time and energy that I simply don't have.
This right here is exactly why I prefer to be neutral to most and keep my trust close to my chest. I’ve been disappointed before too. One thing that I’ve seen/have a hard time trusting is when people seem to flip flop between two sides and there is no consistency. Also one more thing and you might have experienced this a well, but more times then not when people realize you are actually a very trustworthy soul, most of them ( the toxic types)will not let you go

Everyone has personal character defects. Following advice like this literally has you looking for these signs instead of who the person actually is. Trust yourself. Time reveals all. You cannot box people. Trust yourself. You know when to say when. Listen to your gut
It's important to note that trust is an important foundation for any relationship, and it is important to be aware of any red flags that may indicate that someone is not trustworthy. If you have concerns about someone's trustworthiness, it may be helpful to have an open and honest conversation with them to try to address your concerns.
It's a bit risky if they're narcissists. They never like to be challenged; their ego simply won't allow it and they could have a melt-down. Or they lie and deflect. I got gaslighted quite badly from someone who I tried to have a discussion with. She told me this and that had never happened and that I was suffering from delusions. Truly horrid how this person tried to drive me insane.
@Jane, I agree with you. Better not to tell someone and figure out the truth for yourself through careful analysis or through different sources. To be honest, when you start questioning someone's trustworthiness, that's usually your cue to end things or start preparing for the inevitable. It's your gut warning you. Something's happening that's making you confused or suspicious. Why ask the very person who's words and actions aren't aligning, lol.
Try this test on someone, if you want to see whether their charm is a manipulation tactic: As they’re being enthusiastic, friendly, warm, helpful, etc., just receive it as sincere & authentic, and say to them, something to the effect of, “Wow, you’re so nice! It’s great to meet a fellow kind person!” 😀 Just put your own flavor on it, but what you’re doing is watching for their REACTION to your delight that they’re “also” like you (i.e., a good person). Narcissists/manipulators (one & the same) know that they can’t live up to the expectations set for someone who’s ALWAYS a good person (for them, they need to take the mask off, ASAP, to come up for air-it’s agonizing for them to be nice, since they’re only ever doing it for show). If you’re watching them, you’ll always see a look of PANIC in the moment that you mistakenly take them to be one of the good ones. The reason why this works is because they’re not expecting it-they had no idea that you were going to make that comment. It’s just a good idea, in general, to observe people’s reactions, since their MICROEXPRESSIONS tend to give everything away. I wish I’d known all this growing up, rather than having learned it thru trial & error. Another thing…trust your gut-even if you don’t have any concrete evidence of ANYTHING, if you get a sinking feeling, or some feeling of contraction in your body when dealing w/ someone (even w/ the THOUGHT of that person), then it’s your intuition & the universe giving you a sign that you’re dealing with danger/toxicity.
@@americancountryboy6404 Yes…HAVE FUN! You have the upper hand when you can see thru their deception-they’re not as cunning as they think they are. I swear number 2 is what I encounter alot. Anytime I hear someone tell a story about always being a victim or a hero with exaggerated claims, I immediately do not trust them.
Beware of people you barely know say "You can really trust me." or "I'm someone who you can trust." or who say "You can always come to me if there is something." or "i'm always be there for you." They usually trying to gain your trust so that you may reveal more information so that they can use against you later for whatever purpose. Most people who caused me harm and others harm where always the ones who said one of those 4 things I mentioned. Someone who is trying to gain something from you, usually tries to force friendship or a relationship very fast with you even if you clearly say that you only feel attracted to become friends or lovers with a person when you have a deep emotional connection first.
I agree with these but I am a highly private person.. I dont go into negatives and I dont share much personal info because.. well.. its personal.. besides who wants to hear all my lifes drama right.. I like to joke around and hav fun! it's about the experience.. but as stated in many of these comments, trust your "gut reaction".. its there for a reason..!! and make sure their Words line up with their Actions!!
A red flag is when they love to laugh at your performance….but you know if you start laughing at their performance..the knives will be out..keep away..

I had a friend who was so narcissistic she convinced herself that her half-baked opinions were hard facts and her bald-faced lies were irrefutable truth. Let's call her Molly. She was the epitome of an overgrown middle school mean girl who never grew out of the adolescent bully mindset. When I met her, she was in her 40s, had two kids and was on her way to being a grandmother. Molly craved attention in every way possible. She just could not stand anyone else being in charge, being in the spotlight or getting praise for a job well-done. If she wasn't getting the attention, she would do anything she could to usurp that moment or ruin it. The whole “if I can't have it, no one will” was essentially her life's motto. I learned very quickly to never tell her something in confidence because it would never stay between us. In addition to lying about being abused by her stepmother as a child, that her older brother had violated her, she also claimed she had had cancer, that her boyfriend after her first marriage disintegrated had abused her then kicked her out when she was states away from family with nowhere to go, she also claimed that her second husband was abusing her but wouldn't leave him because she had nowhere to go (translation: he was her meal ticket and she didn't want to get a job). I later found out it was all a lie. Every. Single. Word. She got a rush out of sharing things that were none of her business to spread around and being what I refer to as a grief nazi. If she couldn't gossip about something real she would make things up. She spread an entirely untrue rumor that I had caught an STI from a one-night stand, outed me to my estranged extremely conservative homophobic Italian Roman Catholic father and when I admonished her for that, I went low contact, she flipped her lid. When my father died from cancer, she got so mad that I wasn't talking to her anymore. She was pouting and had the nerve to say but didn't think I'd find out about it: “Well the two of them never got along anyway.” She called me up and not so subtly tried to snoop around to see if I had heard about what she had said. I had. She tried to make excuses for it and I told her she was damn lucky she was, at that point, living several states away because I would have driven over and beaten her ass in front of her husband. That terrified her. We're not friends anymore.
Hi. Sounds like my neighbour, who has to be everywhere, know everyones business, gossips behind everyones back. Thank God she s moving. I'm looking into whether or not I can sue the crap out of him, especially since I now have a serious medical condition as a result of this issue that hasn't been addressed! To be honest, when you start questioning someone's trustworthiness, that's usually your cue to end things or start preparing for the inevitable. It's your gut warning you. Something's happening that's making you confused or suspicious. Why ask the very person who's words and actions aren't aligning, lol.
If they're a narcissist they'll gaslight you.
@@truthmerchant1 Yep, exactly.
🌹🕊️Hi, thank you for making this video, wisdom advice is priceless 🌹🕊️🌹🕊️🌹🕊️
Never trust a POLITICIAN ..thats for sure!
Unfortunately depression and anxiety will make us victims, it doesn’t make us bad or untrustworthy
always trust your gut!!
Try this test on someone, if you want to see whether their charm is a manipulation tactic:
As they’re being enthusiastic, friendly, warm, helpful, etc., just receive it as sincere & authentic, and say to them, something to the effect of, “Wow, you’re so nice! It’s great to meet a fellow kind person!” 😀
Just put your own flavor on it, but what you’re doing is watching for their REACTION to your delight that they’re “also” like you (i.e., a good person).
This was very helpful, thank you 😊
@@janeway73 Glad it’s helpful! Happy Social Experimenting! 😆
That was excellent, now just got to try it out 🤣
@@americancountryboy6404 Yes…HAVE FUN! You have the upper hand when you can see thru their deception-they’re not as cunning as they think they are.
I’ve noticed that all narcs, essentially being toddlers in adult bodies, also make the faces that cartoon villains do. Look for these in their microexpressions.
@@americancountryboy6404 🤣
The irony of it all is that they break your trust, the 1st words out of their mouths is why don't you trust me.
I trust but keeping it moderate ,cos someone can misuse your trust so I withdraw the excessive amount of trust . But spot your through self behind , to avoid chaos and bad Omen thanks 👍👌
Brainy Dose
I swear number 2 is what I encounter alot. Anytime I hear someone tell a story about always being a victim or a hero with exaggerated claims, I immediately do not trust them.
Beware of people you barely know say "You can really trust me." or "I'm someone who you can trust." or who say "You can always come to me if there is something." or "i'm always be there for you."
They usually trying to gain your trust so that you may reveal more information so that they can use against you later for whatever purpose.
Im getting headaches seeing the same people that I dont trust or talk to
There is only two people in this life that I trust, one of them is me the other one died a long time ago.
If they lie about you! Clear sign there, of course.
Interesting video 📸😁
Dope content 🔥
Damn I so hyper aware after being manipulated and taken advantage of.
These describe a Narcissist
I agree with these but I am a highly private person.. I dont go into negatives and I dont share much personal info because.. well.. its personal.. besides who wants to hear all my lifes drama right.. I like to joke around and hav fun! it's about the experience.. but as stated in many of these comments, trust your "gut reaction".. its there for a reason..!! and make sure their Words line up with their Actions!!
A red flag is when they love to laugh at your performance….but you know if you start laughing at their performance..the knives will be out..keep away..
My intuition never fails me which made it even stronger and I’m so grateful for that!!! 🥰💋❤️👍🏼🌞🌙🌎🌈🔮♒️💟☮️☯️🔍🔐
TRUST ur gut. Its never wrong. If it dont feel right thats the universe. So just hit and quit it then block
D.T.A. don't trust anyone. That's been my opinion for 30 years now
I like to think im genuine, because people told me i am. i dont feel it, but even i myself caught me being nice from time to time, and it pains me because i am that genuine, that it makes people mistrust me all the time. fuck people who abuse people. im here to to be nice to see you smile dammit. I dont want anything lmao why is that so hard to believe.
We are humans and we know !! 🙏🏼
If someone is not behaving the way we want them to behave we tell trust is broken 🤠.
Hi Brainy Dose!
Spot on!
Excellent vidéo ❤
Merci 😊
It's sad when adults think they can buy friends forever 😕
No point trying to buy friends
Yes true. People change, situations and time change. But its all happening because of the material and creed. Nasty people all off them...
I sure wish I knew these points way ahead of time,
Look for patterns but I guess if you do too much of it you'll eventually become jaded and think everybody's garbage. take people with a grain of salt. Either that or Don't depend on anybody and keep to yourself then you have less disappointment I suppose. Use discernment
This is just like someone I unfortunately know!!
I dont trust any1 in this sick world ,not even myself.
An eye opener.
thank goodness I like to have no fake friends at all I perf to be by myself
Not entered person! No foreign!
I don't trust my classmates from Orion College 2022 this year because they are pretending to be my best Friend. I've blocked them on WhatsApp for good. they made me feel Disappointed, betrayed, and Uncomfortable. Thanks, Brainy Dose! Have a safe & Happy New Year Everyone.
Sorry to hear that
@@BrainyDose I've went through very hard time thinking about them, until I've decided to cancelled my Friendship with my Classmates. I'm moving on with my life from Stress.
I was involved in a model railroad club and I was constantly feeling like something was wrong every time I was there I was told that I had too many train cars and I was told that I had been running my train illegally and that I had been hoarding. I eventually gave up and never returned because of how I was treated and my dad also gave up as well as a distant relative and the three of us are now doing our own thing and we feel a lot better
All the worse when it’s family!

Trust no one and no one can betray you
its also important to keep in mind that not everything is an opinion and just going against pure facts is something that shouldnt be taken seriously
This Is Exactly Why I Have A (DTA) Rule. Don't Trust Anyone
What if someone is just really introverted?? Introverts, like myself, really ARE very private all the time with most people. You have to be in my inner circle to really know me. Does that make me "bad"?? My close friends don't think so.... I'm not sure about the accuracy of the information in this video....but, don't listen to me....
I pray and Hope She Takes All of Her VOODOO S AND POVERTY WITH HER.
ALL PEOPLE IN.OUR STREET HAVE AVOIDED HER FOR EIGHT YEARS NOW. Too Much is Just Too Much...Some People are SO SO TOXIC...
I would add another one… people who constantly change their hobbies and what they like, because they can’t stick to one thing and get tired fast
So. What'd wrong with that? Doesn't make them bad people. They just like to experience different things is all.
@@josebro352 that makes them look unstable cause they may do the same thing to people and you never have a clear idea of who they are
@@ChocoParfaitFra I don't know , I personally like understanding how things work weather it's wanting an understanding of fly fishing , working on cars , carpentry , or I may learn about birds and buy field guides then go observe them in the wild . I wanted art work for my home so i baught canvases and made pictures for my walls . When i purchased a bicycle I got the tools to work on them, learned how to disassemble one and change all the parts on it . But then I use the information to help and connect with other people . I'm genuinely curious about the world around me . I would say the people I have met with no hobbies seem to be miserable at times , lacking in self confidence and full of fear .
@@sunoclockoneday2576 yeah that’s actually what I’m saying, my ex has no real hobbies and changes constantly, especially after he reached his “goal” with it. He’s fundamentally empty
I've never had any friends cause I don't trust them especially their own behavior
I just don't trust anyone. After enough time viewing their behavior and personality is when I'll start deciding whether or not a person is worth knowing.
Well, for me someone who do not keep promises or says something oposite Vs what has said before on the same topic without any explenation why he or she changed the opinion or apologise is not trustworthly ! Done that ones you may never know if he or she will not do it again...to build trust is a long process to lose it it may be a moment.
....i dont have any friends....only associates and annoying neighbors.
Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you
I don't trust anyone
About a year back my ex’s boyfriend called me a putrid maggot, along with grub, dog and scum; then got offended when I said chill dude.
If your dog growls, run!!
This describes my narcissistic bully of a landlord.
Almost 2 years ago, my previous landlord sold the property my husband and I are currently renting to a couple. At first, I thought "They seem nice." Then I heard that they all go to church together. I'm not saying that all churchgoers are bad people. Then, I felt in my gut, "Something's off with the guy." Yeah, something's off, alright! He's a dang liar! One thing I can't stand is people who lie, to either "prove a point" or to cause harm. I found out at the end of last year from some coworkers, that my now current landlord is a p.o.s. He knows that there's a serious issue going on with our rental but has chosen to do nothing about it. I'm looking into whether or not I can sue the crap out of him, especially since I now have a serious medical condition as a result of this issue that hasn't been addressed! Before anyone says, "Just leave!" I'm going to say: go where and with money? If you have a place we can go and money to pay for, then by all means! Otherwise, please don't say that.
A 🤥 LAIR will cause trust issues . Once you catch person in lie. Know for sure they HAVE or WILL tell more lies . Silence 🤫 and pauses just means you are shady. Now, raise your hand if you are guilty 🙃
I have a friend that's up and doing in everyone's matter. He always make sure he's the mastermind to make the problems solved and there be it. He always wanted to know one's step and why the step. He always make his idea were working all the time. Can he be trust?
