Do we just use the 5th and 6th strings when we build a triad? Said another way, how do we know which strings to choose when applying the formula to building triads?
As a relative beginner, this raises a question that I’m unable to fully grasp. I understand that a B flat and an A sharp are the same note musically. What I don’t get is why & when they’re referred to as such. Why wouldn’t Jen call it an A sharp? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

pretty sure the true difference comes from how notes scale up or down; i think Adam Neely talked about this in one of hos videos
