Back to the real 2 stroke engines! I love it
Long live the OG
That's an awesome machine and so is the FS 240
Both great units. That said the 251 is significantly more powerful.
@@carlsmowerandsaw yes sir
OHH mama...I just found out about this rig today and I can't wait to get one. Almost another half of a horsepower compared to the 240 yes please. I already have a 240 and some 131's but I'd love to have more power and the same weight too. Thanks, nice reviews.
Thanks for watching. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts once you get one
240 already has heaps of grunt, I'd like to try the 251
I think we will feel it in the heavy vegetation
Nice it's been 10 or twelve years since they came out with a new trimmer FS94??
There have been a few intro’s and updates over the years. Hard to fix what ain’t broke
Why does it show less HP on Stihls website? Shows 240r at 2.3 and 251r at 2.0
That’s odd
I took the specs right out of the book.
Well it's either the book Is wrong or the official site is wrong.
The price tags in the dealership also state the higher horsepower
I can tell everyone my cat is a dog. Don't be spreading false information please!
Is this engine a standard 2 stroke or is it a 4 mix motor ?
2 stroke
What is the gear box ratio
I’m sorry I’m not sure what it is
Is it made in Germany?
It sure is
How many cc is it
41.6cc. I talk about that around 2 minutes.
I bought a Stihl fs 251 and comes no circular blade but only weed eater, not i am not lookin for
Their brush cutters never come with blades only the line head and the blade is an optional accessory
@@carlsmowerandsaw Thank you for replying, So I have to get a blade for it
@@buckyy_sap4918 yes you do
Is it a loop handle or bike handle unit? If it’s a loop handle you also have to get the blade attachment hardware
@carlsmowerandsaw yes I have the bike handle unit and I pick up the blade for it, Thanks
240 r to 700 251 r 669 cost Stihl
It’s interesting isn’t it?
On stihls wedsite it states the 251r is 2.0 HP and not 2.7 HP.
The spec sheet supplied to us by Stihl states 2.7hp. After operating it I can tell you it is more than the 240
@@carlsmowerandsaw shoot that'll work and I'm all about it. I just bought a 240 kicking myself for not getting the 251 but then stihls website say it's less power. If it's 2.7hp I'm gonna get one
Stilh rep told me the website is messed up its 2.0 kw like in europe but its 2.7 hp@@carlsmowerandsaw
The website says 2.3 hp for the 240r. 2.7 for the 251r.
@@meandthemrs7403 agreed but when the 251 first came out it said 2.0 HP. Even my Stihl rep was taken back by that number since it's a 41cc trimmer and should be 2.7. Others did clear it up by mentioning the Stihl site was wrong.
