- This is a very usable drone at a nice price. Good flight time, good flight range, good camera. Perfect for anyone who wants their first drone, but wants something better than a toy drone but not as expensive as a DJI drone. You can find out more about this product here:

This is the second drone I've purchased because of your recommendation. The first was the CSJ S166. I wanted another drone so my wife and I could fly together and learn from each other. This drone does everything you said it would. The set up was easy, the controller is very easy to use and the video, for us, is great, Thanks for not forgetting about us beginners (and we're seniors as well) and finding lower cost drones that have lots of important as well as fun features. Thanks.
Hi Capt Drone, it's been a while since I purchased this drone based on your reviews, which are in my opinion the best.
I wanted to let you know that I was flying over a small lake behind my house and I let the battery get to low and it landed in the lake and sank.
It was only 6 ft or so from the shore, so I was able to wade out and retrieve the drone. I let it dry out over night and it works perfectly, even the camera was fine. I thought it would have been destroyed by the water, but it has worked perfectly.
Thanks for your great reviews
Capt Randy
After looking at a lot of reviews I bought this as my first drone (I am 69 years old so lat starter ) First lesson: noob+JJRC Epic +indoors= bloodshed. Naturally the drone wanted to hit something and to keep it from tearing up the props I grabbed it. wow those blades are sharp!!! so after I got all the bandages applied I went outside and tried it. Being an noob I used it in GPS mode to keep from loosing it or killing someone. I was the San Fernando valley in Los Angeles and near major intersections. Once I did all the calibration I hit the take off button and up0 it went then hovered. Being new I did not know what headless mode meant but soon found out and it is interesting. I didn't do any of the fancy stuff like follow me. The AP is in metric but I could do a round rule of thumb to figure out height. I didn't fly more than about 150 away horizontally. I was very surprised that the video is pretty decent. Like with Capt'n drone it was a windy day and you can tell by the way the picture tilts. Once I get decent flying I will step up to a drone with 3 axis gimbal for video stability. JJRC makes a 4k X5 and you can get the 4k camera for about 69 dollars so a cheap way to upgrade the video on the Epic. It flies exactly like in the review and I was impressed how it sounds like a million angry bees. It comes with the battery shown but I also got 2 additional 7.6 volt batteries at 2450 mah so should have plenty of flying time. One note. The 7.6 volt battery and charger are slightly different than the 7.4 volt. The 7.6 charger has 2 plastic pins and the battery has 2 sockets for the pins. the 7.4 battery does not have this and if you charge the 7.4 in the 7.6 charger you will break the little pins though it can be done. Best way is to get a charger for each battery. I think this is lots of drone for a beginner and not too expensive.
One thing about gas engines is they stop when you get your hand in the prop. With electric it just keeps on cutting.
Great noob review. Mine is on the way
I have just got one of these and for me it's best in class, I've already got some great photos from it. The fact you can alter the camera angle is a game changer for me as I love Birds Eye Views.
really happy with the pics I'm getting with this drone as well
@@charleybarley914 hey guys, I'm between X5 and Bugs 5W. I'm mostly interested in the camera, any advice on which is better in taking stills? thanks!
@@AlexisPapadimitriou I have the X5 and the stills are very good(for a 150 dollar drone.
Alexis Papadimitriou the camera quality is terrible compared to drones like zino or even dji entry level ones. After purchasing this and a few other drones, I’ve learned that spending money on these cheap drones isn’t worth it. It’s best to get a drone with at least two axis gimbal and a decent camera.
Fly time is good or na
I finally got the chance to fly mine today and it's perfect for what I needed. I don't do much video anymore and the photos from it are great. It doesn't fit in a fanny pack but that's ok too because I can just put it into my car. I'm very happy I came across this video. The photos are very clear and the color is very good.
So far I've taken photos of my home, my son's farm and today I got some shots at a car show I was part of and although I've had more expensive drones like the Q500 and the Spark, I really do prefer this one for just taking photos. It's easy to set up and fly and the app works great and it delivers really stunning photos for the price. It doesn't have any annoying software restrictions to worry about either. It's great for just popping up getting the shot and landing. It's great for web photos.
I think this one moved to the top of my first drone wish list.
I just "found" one of these Epik drones unopened and never flown in the back of my dedicated drone closet! I'm looking forward to taking it for a spin if our unrelenting wind will ever cease long enough to get it into the air. You are right in that it looks like the JJRC X18 (Bugs 3 Pro). I just noticed that my Epik might be a little bit newer. The camera is 2k and the propellers are not quick release. The silver thumb screws are purely decorative and the propellers are held on by 2 screws. Sorry, rambling. Anyway, should be fun! Thanks for sharing 4 years ago...lol.
Captain Drone, Purchased this on your recommendation and WOW !! so far , so good! what a great Drone for the price! equally as important, it is a very smooth flyer and lots of fun; all of the fail safe modes work as they should (lot of trust in this aspect!) and once the rubber "gimble" loosens up, the video quality is quite acceptable, thanks for reviewing and pointing us in this direction................
Totally the Bugs 5W, which is on the way to my home now. Happy Dance! Very nice review!
Not sure how you do it your video's are so much better than other people's content. Thanks for sharing.
I appreciate that!
You are very entertaining sir. I came here to research some cheap drone stuff to try out; totally new to this. As far as content producers go, you are very good and very entertaining. This is definitely your calling.
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks for the good review. I bought this last month and am waiting for it here in Sweden.
I've been exploring other capabilities of this drone. I found out that it will work with older phones. It also will take photos and video at the same time. I've taken photos while doing video. The app also allows for a split image compatible with one of those cheap VR headsets that a phone can be used in. This is a LOT of bang for the buck.
Thank you, got one yesterday and watching plenty of videos before I fly it.
Hi from Athens Greece.
JJRC and JJPRO is the same brand?
I bought one of these after watching your review, many thanks very happy with it (my first drone)
Chrome Nomad & Co Me too! Haha
I have a jjrc x5 epix..the battery no longer will slide in the drone. There is not visible blockage.. let me know what you think the issue is.
Thank you
The issue is your battery has started to swell. This happens for one of two reasons:
1. You fly the drone and significantly discharged the battery and never replenished it for a long time
2. You charged up the battery until full but never used it for a long time.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks so much for your reply...can these batteries be salvaged?
@@sergiouribe585 unfortunately no
Superb... I'm getting one. Hey does this one have trims for left right forward and backwards?
Shouldn't need it being a gps drone.
Captain! Thank you very much for yet another great drone review! This looks like a very nice little drone, and I do like the silver color the manufacturer chose! This would be a great GPS stabilized drone to introduce beginners to drone flying. In addition, it comes with a couple of basic autonomous modes. Looks like a great value! Thanks again! P.S. I purchased a Captain Drone hoodie, a couple of shirts, and of course, a coffee mug! Being a “Fanboy” of the Captain Drone channel, I can’t wait to get them (lol)....
Wow! Thanks for the purchase!

Hey Captain, I purchased this Drone and its all good as you have reviewed however there is a "trick" for capturing better video !!! I am going to call it "Drift Droning" !!! in no / minimal wind you can set the Drone up to film the point of interest and then turn GPS off!! the Epik (and Bugs equivalent 5W) will simply drift smoothly and capture amazingly stable footage !!! have you tried this ??(if not could make for a good follow up vid!!!) Cheers Julian
That is an old filming trick we did back in the days of the DJI Phantom 2. Sometimes it can be very effective.
R/C SAYLORS TOLD ME YOU WERE GREAT,Im going to take part on your videos,Like to to the Zino reviewed.
Hey Captain Drone, Just purchased this after checking out your reviews; might seem a little strange however I am hoping this will be my "relief" Drone !!! something I can fly inside when the weather / wind is not suitable and on the other hand, muck around with ; risk free when the Elements line up !!!!
Hello Captain Drone, excellent review! I have always loved your reviews. I’m from Richmond Hill, Canada and I’m wondering which field\park are you flying your drones at? Also, if there is a place close by me where I can fly my drones too?
Hello. I'm flying on the outskirts of Ottawa. Sorry, I don't know your area. As long as you don't fly over or near people or moving cars or neighbors homes or near airports your fine.
CAPTAIN DRONE, thank you for your quick response and Happy Thanksgiving!
Great drone, and great video bro. I hope I can buy this quad soon.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Captain drone sir::" well I got to make a choice here I'm interested in the mjx RC bugs 4w or the jjpro X5 epik now out of those two I need your help with making a decision, and the phone I'm using is a Galaxy S4 so almost 7 years old will that run either one of them... will I still get the distance out of it this is going to be one of the best drones I've ever had, and the first one with brushless motors... When I had before was five of the Sima xh series they almost look like the Phantom 3 that size but they like the fall out of the sky without warning and that was big size toy graded nothing like these I want to order them today so I found the bugs 4w for 225 with the blue top on the black drone for 225 and 175 for the jjpro X5 with three batteries also with a case have you have these both already so being my first to me professional drone out of those two which one should I shoot for sir and also will my phone be okay the Samsung Galaxy S4
I've got a chance to get one of these for a good price. I think I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger.
The new Bugs5w 5G with 4k camera, Black with two 2420 mAh batteries is $12.00 more vs this with the 1080P camera, two 1800 mAh batteries and a bag, only in Lt Gray..think I'll go for the Bugs 5w
I just picked one of these up (2k model with the LiHV bats) to dip my feet into the drone realm (RC aircraft flyer circa 1990s). This little guy is a great fun flyer. However, the video shot straight to SD card, has a really bad watercolor/oil painting look. Very bright flying day with some cumulus. Is this a known issue with a budget camera? Maybe having a hard time focusing with the light and built in exposure? It almost feels like pixel stretching the 1080 to get the 2k? Any idea? PS thanks for the in depth reviews!
I just purchased the jjrc epic 5 came with 2 batteries only 159 dollars i have the jjrc pro hax drone its super nice ipurchssed the jjrc pro hax drone 3 for 220 dollars 3 year's ago i hope I'll enjoy the new jjrc epic 5 I just purchased last week have not took it out because the wind is gusting around 40 miles per day can't it out it's too windy I would blow it away from me and there goes a 18pomph can't wait until ever take it out after this weather in can't wait to fly it
Great video. Yet another good beginner drone. They should come out with a lens that doesn’t have a wide angle to get rid of the fish eye look. Did see some jello as well. Still a good beginner drone
Your absolutely right Captain.
This is actually something I am looking for , would have been nice if it had an SD-Card and at least an OPT-FLOW sensor , but I love the idea that I can remove the camera. I want something I can fly by sight . this is also convenient if difficult neighbours complain about privacy , so they have no excuse if it does not have the camera , plus it is lighter without it .
Do you think this compares at all to the SPARK? I was considering the SJRC S70W and SPARK, with SPARK getting the nod, but this seems to be in the middle. I'm still thinking SPARK, but hoping the price will come down when the SPARK PRO comes out...
This is a very different drone from the Spark. The Spark has a gimbal for stable video, this one does not. The Spark has many more flight features than this one. This is an under $200 drone that is great for people getting into the hobby and want something more than a toy drone.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Hey Cap, I believe that I heard you said it has a gimbal. Which one is right?

One of the best review video sir. Thankyou. I wonder if it will be delivered to me without any custom issues, as here in India there are strict regulations for drones. I had earlier ordered JJRC H49 drone, which came to me after clearing the custom issues after a month. This also should come as it is under 500gm in weight... Let's see
I can't say if customs apply to your area, but in Canada if I ship by courier I get charged customs. If I ship the slow way by boat/postal, I don't get charged customs.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I just downloaded the Govt rules and regulations pdf file, a whole lot of stuffs with 20pages... This model will be checked by customs thoroughly as it is above 250gms, I was wrong to think that drones upto 500gms are relaxed. No, upto 250gms are only...It falls under Micro drone category in my country. Will be seized if imported without DGCA approval. Very disappointed you see at last. The features of this drone was very good at this price point.
Anyways please suggest me few good drones with more or less same features within 250gms in weight.
Hi there ,I am.sorry but I tried to buy the drone from the link you put below the vedio unfortunately the croupon did not work .is there any other croupon i can use ,thanks a lot
Hello. Please note that whenever there is a review of a drone, the coupon will only work for 30 days from the date of the video review. This is not controlled by me, it is controlled by the company that sells the drone.
I love your videos. You are really guiding me thru this beginning process. I am looking to purchase an entry level GPS drone for my son. He is only 10, but i dont want a toy drone. I want something that he can grow into and the reality is that I will use and learn on it as well. The two drones I am looking at right now are JJPRO x5 Epik and the Eachine E511s. I watched your reviews on both. Do you have a recommendation between these two?
For a 10 year old I'd go with the Bugs 2SE or JJRC CETAS (same drone). For a 10 year old it would be difficult to have a long term drone. It will get broken or damaged so the BUGS is a good option.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Well, I say it is for him. But, its partly for me. I would like to have all the options that I want.
july 26 2020 Just ordered one with a 2k camera and an extra battery. Price was reasonable and I got a birthday soon so I have an excuse.
Lol Wonder if the ant is really like the tabs on a keyboard. Will make it easy to pickup since there is no handle
Hi Captain. I am hesitating between JJPRO X5 and SJRC F11. Which one would you recommend?
I just purchased one of your cool mugs...I also 'subbed' a couple of weeks ago. Kudos on your videos...
Thanks Thomas!
Hello dear, between the x5 or b5w, which one do you think is better in terms of fpv distance?
Pretty cool for a first quad. Good for kids with the GPS etc. Good fun. Cheers for the vid. :)
Yup, very fun quad to take out to the field.
What's the max height on this drone? and also what's the max distance?
If all of that was not mentioned in the video (I'm sure it was) then check the links for the specs.
I saw this in BLACK today, but 18$ more than cheapest grey model (on different site). really nice looking tho.
Great review👍💪
Great channel! Just bought one of these babies and I was wondering what applications you recommend and a random beginner tip
Thanks
No tips other than have fun. This drone is a great drone to learn on.
Ordered mine the other day I'm patiently waiting for my first drone
Hi Captain Drone, Thanks for the advice on this drone as a great beginners drone. I got one and love it. That said what can I do to improve the FPV? It tends to freeze up at the worst times, and not more than 50 yards away. Thank you for any help, from anyone.
It sounds like the drone video signal and your phone are not compatible (poor reception). It is a very old drone, so back in those days the video signal from the drone was very weak.
Thank you for your help.@@CAPTAINDRONE798
Is this the same as the JJRC X5?
What color does the charger flash when the batteries are full?
Hi Cap, which one is better for beginners, this one or Bugs 5W? Is this thing has a gimbal?
Both are good. There is no gimbal.
I’m Just getting into RC stuff at the ripe old age of 68. I purchased a 3 channel park flyer and then decided to buy a drone. I saw many reviews, including this one on the JJPro x5, and thought this had some good features to start with. It came with just a basic charger and after doing some homework, I bought the Venom pro duo. Now I find out that the batteries are proprietary and the store guys said the venom would not work with them. Is that true? I bought a tester to tell me the battery state, but how do I balance and storage charge them?
I like the drone so far btw and plan to buy a good beginning plane by Spring.
That is correct, the batteries are proprietary. The charger you purchased is for batteries that are off the shelf (Lipo, Nicad, etc). Normally in the hobby you would use such a charger if you entered the RC Plane or RC Car or FPV Drone Race hobby. For camera-drones (which is what the X5 falls into for a category) the batteries are shaped designed for beginners so you are stuck. DJI, Parrot, Yuneec and Autel which are the BIG camera-drone companies, all do the same thing.
So, I have three fully charged batteries. Obviously I have no way to do a balance charge unless the default charger that came with the drone does it. To discharge the batteries, I suppose I have to use the drone. What’s the storage charge for these? Thanks for your input btw. I loved your winter flying video.
@@TerryV06 I don't believe the included charger does a balance charge. I say that because of the number of active pins. Discharge is exactly that, hover the drone. Battery power showing around 40% would be good for storage.
I can see they are listed bouth as JJPRO X5, and as JJPRO X5 EPIK
Is there two versions, and if so, what is the differences?
There is a MJXRC BUGS 5 and a JJPRO X5, those are the only two. They are identical, except for the color and some styling.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Yes, but I have searched for this drone, and they are listed bouth as JJPRO X5, and as JJPRO X5 EPIK.
And I see some of the them without the EPIK name is listed with lower prices then the drones listed as EPIK....
@@TerjeNormann Yes, same drone.
Great vid Captain many thanks 👍🏼
Just got mine and so far so good!
Is there a battery charger I can buy that charges two at a time and quicker please?
That is something I don't know. I have seen people buy double battery chargers for MJXR products. Perhaps check eBay for such an item.
I have the 2.7k model. I can't seem to get follow me or orbit to work. It says "Insufficient mobile phone GPS" I have a Samsung Note 9, so it's not like it's an old phone. Am I missing something?
Sounds like perhaps you have not give permission in your phone to allow apps to access the GPS.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 That is what I thought at 1st and I chucked and all permissions are granted. I am thinking may be the app is not yet compatible with android 10. I am going to try an older phone and see if it works.
Just confirmed in Google Play on the app page that others are having the same issue. I think the app is not yet compatible with Android 10.0
Hi CD, I love your videos and want to ask you a question if I may... I'm really not interested in getting a registration/licence. I'm in Canada, so please tell me... What is the best drone in your opinion (at least with a decent camera and GPS) that weighs 249 grams or less and can go farther than 30 meter's ;)... Thanks in advance.
That is a tough one because the under 250 gram drones are all low cost. To keep the weight down the manufactures will install brushed motors, which means you're looking at at a simple drone with a simple camera. Hollystone usually makes low cost quality drones that are of average quality that are under 250 grams (I think I reviewed one about 4 months ago).
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks, I'll look into it, keep up the great fun :)
thanks for review - it is in my next wishlist . :)

Hey captain drone i have question do u know a drone under 110$ because i am on a budget and i live in south america so the shipping is gonna be spicy
Great drone. However the camera is terrible and it never gets a steady footage. Funnily enough, today I was flying this by the beach and after 15 minutes of flight and a battery change the drone decided to just fall off the sky, dunked in the water and took off again. It came back to me and I was able to land it safely. However, the camera has now stopped working. Any ideas if I can replace this camera with a better quality camera, the drone flies fine now without any camera. I am thinking of connecting it to a Hawkeye firefly q6..
I tried reconnecting the camera again, it turned on for a second and then froze. Any ideas how much does it cost to replace the camera?
what would be your preface the epik x5 or visuo xs812. i believe there is a $100 difference and you get brushless and electronic camera. Is it worth the extra money.
EPIK X5 would be my preference.
So witch one is best out of the two , the JJPRO X5 EPIK OR The MJX RC BUGS 5W 2 lb difference in weight that's it [?]
Should be the same drone
You may have but not sure if I heard you say the camera has micro SD on it? .. Seems that would be one thing you would want on the machine ...
Yes, micro SD slot in the belly of the drone.
I got this drone last year and crashed it so I replaced it and flew briefly once then upgrading to my phantom and Mavic. I got it out of case and realised my new one is not 1080p but 2k. Do you believe it’s a better camera or a bluff ?
There is a 2K version. But if you are into camera and photography you also know that not all 1080p, 2K or 4K are the same when it comes to image quality and bit rate.
CAPTAIN DRONE thanks good review.

You didn't say whether the camera takes an sd card or the video is recorded on the phone?
CarFunMostly Records to a micro SD card.
Here's a question. When you turn the controller off and the drone begins RTH, does it come back to where it originally took off or where the controller was at the time of disconnect?
It returns to where it took off from.
Hi! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have this drone and I have been seeking for help but sadly, nobody responds. When my drone is hovering normally, suddenly starts to stagger and then it goes down very fast, hits rhe ground and then bounces, and after that it gains height again. When it goes down, the throttle does not respond. Any ideas? I'm thinking of an intermittent failing motor. Regards from Mexico!
Very strange. If the battery is good, then there is a power distribution problem. If it had lost connection, it would enter return to home mode. If the battery is drastically low, it will land and not respond. If it is a motor problem, it would flip and crash. Are the batteries in the transmitter good and secure?
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you so much for your response! It does the same with any of the two batteries, whose by the way, have been charged at most 5 times. The transmitter is using fresh batteries. The failure happens at any battery level in the aircraft, mostly before the low batt warning. Here you can see how it wobbles and falls. ua-cam.com/video/08nUbJ0eYK0/v-deo.html
@@ProfesorVallejo It falls but it remains level which tells me the motors are all running at the correct speed, so I don't think it is a motor or a prop issue or an ESC issue. It seems to be either the voltage drops or the internal barometer is having issues. I've never seen this occur before.

That means the app does not have access to all the features of your phone. You may have said no to something by accident when the app ran the first time.

2. PICK UP CONTROLLER. HOLD RED BUTTON DOWN ON CONTROLLER AND TURN ON CONTROLLER AT SAME TIME.
3. THE CONTROLLER AND DRONE ARE NOW ONE.

What is the flight altitude and flight distance you have? How much you could raise (your maximum) and how much you could get away from you (your maximum) Thank you! Greetings and hopefully solve my doubt.
I think it will fly 400 meters high and 400 to 600 meters distance.

I was looking at a venom 3 charger is that good enough or over kill because I have other batteries also...
Nice video. Do you know what the max altitude of the drone is?
Most of these drones usually max out just over 100 meters.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thanks
Hey!, in your video when you put the battery on the camera will move right? But why me is not moving when I put the battery on?
I'm not sure what you are asking?
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 OK I'll change the question, what phone you're using on that drone?
The phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 OK but I'll try Samsung, but why I can't find the Wi-Fi of this drone I'm using oppo f5
do you have to turn on your phone gps using the app? how bout the phone data? i heard bugs5w battery would work on this drone, is it true?
I have not tried the Bugs 5w battery with this drone. As for GPS on your phone, that is what the bugs uses to follow you. If you have no phone data, it should still work.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 yes the bugs batteries work, I also use the bugs app. The JJ app doesn't work on my phone?
One of my motors quit on me,,,does it have separate esc” for each motor or does it have just one main board controlling the all motors....
I would guess it has separate ESC because it has a feature that if one motor gets blocked, the motor shuts off while the others keep running. It is the same drone as the MJXRC BUGS 5w.... you could ask MJXRC that question.
AT 7:36 you close the tk WITH THE GPS ON NOT OFF? correct? because if the gps its off the drone never come back....... i think,,,,,,,,,
The GPS was on in the controller. I do believe it makes no difference if the GPS is on or off when signal or low battery occurs, the drone comes back. The GPS on and off on the controller is just a flight mode for the pilot (i.e., the gps module in the drone has to continue to work or else each time you turn the gps off, then back on, it would have no idea where home is).
Hi Captain, you say the antennas are for show and in flight you said the drone follows your phone.
Can you operate this drone without a phone?
Yes, but you won't get all the features shown in the video.
Balance the props on this guy if you get vibration. Mine were worse than on a bayangtoys x16. Once balanced this girl is even nicer. Awesome bird, I am super glad I got it.
How to balance the props?
Is there friction between drone and RC airplane pilots?
None that I'm aware of
I bought this for my 2nd drone. Where can I get a bag / case for it?
Try AMAZON cases, and make your own.
Hello, does any one know which drone has a better camera? X5 or Bugs 5W? I have seen a lot of videos but I can't find a definitive answer. Thanks!
Very similar.
Just bought this but with a 2k camera and 2400mah batteries! Just waiting for decent weather to fly. I've never flown a drone 🤷♂️
Can you pick a camera and betteries?
I think it's just the new model? I bought it on Amazon for $169
How durable is it? Can is stand up to crashes?
Crashes on soft grass should be fine
Are you using the bugs software or the JJRC software?
JJRC
I got a question... how long can you leave the batteries fully charged ? Is it safe to leave them fully charged ?
3 MONTHS and no longer
Awesome thank you !
I dont know if I'm doing something wrong but I cant get this thing to fly... it wont calibrate or get a satellite signal?
We have just started a month of boring lockdown here in England till Dec 2nd , I just sent my drone up 275 feet to watch the fireworks going of from various gardens as it’s Guy Fawkes night here, I got a google pixel phone with a big screen and it’s great keeps the picture, annoyed cos I was going to watch the Turkish Grand Prix Live Sunday week at my sisters, cos of the Lockdown I cant.
hello; nice video.
when asking an RTH, do the drone come back at the altitude where it is or it ascend to a fixed altitude and then come back?
thank you.
It rises to a certain altitude and then comes home.
Good afternoon dear, can you tell me, what remote distance from the fpv wifi to the drone? the company reported 500m of wifi is true?
The drone can do 500 meters, but the video signal will start to lose signal at 300 meters. So, you can fly far, but you may not have a video feed back to your phone the whole distance.
Bought the JJRC Epik a couple of weeks ago. It works fine, but scared the hell out of me the first time I tried the auto take off. I took off like a bat out of hell, zoomed into the sky, and I thought it was gone fore sure. I panicked and pushed every button. Fortunately it ignored me and landed upside in the back yard. Is there an adjustment for the take off height?
I believe it is fixed
A friend to me asked me to buy a drone as christmas gift to his daugther so i bought this. Vinter here in sweden but im longing to try this when spring comes
I live in the Yukon in Canada. I have flown (for short times, 8 min top) in down to minus 23 celcius. No problems.
