This method changed my surfing completely, been surfing for a longtime and has always been mediocre at turning, it changed now, tried this in the last two sessions and it’s so easy.
This was hilarious and so well done, including the acting! Plus, great tips for turning! Always look forward to your videos, my lunch entertainment haha
Started surfing about 2 months ago on 8' soft tops, never been able to turn, always heading straight down to the beach and occasionally if i angle the take off right, i i could go straight down the line. After i came across this video, i went out the next morning and I tried this technique on the very 1st wave that i caught and i was able to make left and right turns easily like i have been doing it for a while. It's crazy how all the coaches I had, didn't mention this. They all had the same "look to where you want to turn" advice which is quite vague i think. So, thank you so much for this and I still can't believe your method worked on the first try.
Alright. That's it! You need to start making movies. You are seriously talented, committed and hungry. I want to see your productions on the big screen !
Dude i love you. I dont know how to say this, but you achieve to not be cringe, just sympathetic. If other people would floss yes they would loose respect. But if you do it, its just hilarious. Am 20 btw. Cheers. Keep on going.
I've been a long-time subscriber and this is by far the *best* post I've seen from you! "I'm no longer a danger to the line-up" is GOLD! "Turning Prison" is PLATINUM!
@@LongboardSessions You're also the reason I've gone to single-fin now on my longboard (vs always surfing with thrusters). Keep up the *great* content!
I love it, I like your storytelling but especially your breakdown of the basic stance. I am 62 Hawaiian, born there with a Hawaiian mother that took us to the beach since I was born. My first board was at the age of 10. What you presented in this video took me 20 years to learn. Square of your shoulders, short stance. Wish there was youtube back then. Can't wait for the section on getting comfortable with the face of the wave and dragging yourself into the barrow.
ShoreSurf Redemption is Truly brilliant!!! My longboard fin has become a shortboard fin after years of getting nowhere by wearing it down on rocks however I now plan to use it to help control my board to turn. Awesome Adam! 1.5 years is not a long time, so if you're starting to get it than you're on the right track. Surfing is the one of the hardest things to improve at. Takes so many wipeouts and horrible days to finally start getting the hang of it. It only gets better!
