- Hurricane Ian caused flooding that left abandoned cars and boats scattered all over areas of Naples. Outside help arrived Thursday to respond to piling 911 calls of people who were stranded.
The assessment of the damage was difficult for Jose Ricardo Logo who found his business flooded on Thursday. He walked through the receding water in his dining room and kitchen at the Country House Restaurant near the Gordon River.
I grew up living 2 blocks away from the ocean and I learned how to assess the risks of swimming on the ocean and being safe. We used to say: "The sea is mad" when the sea was not serene, calm. When the ocean is like the one we see in the video the currents create dangerous and treacherous swirls. 🍥 As soon anyone is cought into the swirl the survival chance is minimum. Usually people that grow up living close to the ocean rarely get drowned because the knowledge acquired about how treacherous and unpredictable the sea is. Strong Florida.
From Broward County, Southeast Florida
Ron Desantis was boasting at the debate how much of a budget surlpus Florida has. After Ian? Huh?
Please don't go in the waters. There is debris that will hurt you.
Not to mention the water is pretty dirty. Probably a lot of sewage. Other videos I've seen the water looks almost like coffee
Mans mind has dulled, it absolutely blows my mind the lack of sense I see unfolding around us…

❤️ Naples FLA. Great memories of visiting my father when he was still with us. Stay safe and well wishes to all.
I went to naples florida with some friends late July! It was beautiful! I was at that beach and several others including the beach at fort Meyers! Seeing the hurricane nailing your beautiful state my heart broke! Prayers for a fast recovery!
Anyone going into the water this soon after Ian must have a Death Wish!!
The beach is all fun and games until you get a rusty nail impaled through your foot! That’s a distinct possibility after such a catastrophic storm surge in the region. I guarantee that there was a lot of dangerous and sharp debris pulled into the Gulf of Mexico with that storm surge.
You are so right! The folks in the water have forgotten that the pier is made up of nails, bolts and now splintered wood which in turn can impel anyone. No one should be allowed in the water. The hospitals and First responders need to focus on current events, non that are created due to lack of mind. I hope folks just stay safe.
I live here in Naples, just a 10-minute ride from the beach and would NEVER venture into the water.
Aww hell on any given day on any given beach, you can step on glass, or a rusty beer or soda can too....i guess you won't ever be taking your family on a vacation to the beach ever again....right?
So sad to see this. I was there for vacation 2k16. But I love your Videos about Florida. Thank u for your work and sharing. Greetings from Germany. ❤️
There is so much pollution in the water right now I wouldn't put my worst enemy in the water. Plus, the debris including parts of refrigerators, insulation, oil, gas, n sewage....omg
If you have seen the satellite photos of our shore line you would definitely wait
Swimming in toxic runoff after a storm is never a good idea.
JUSTS CAUSE THEY HAVES MONEY DOESN'T MEAN THEY HAVES BRAINS TOO
Those folks in the water are begging to be hurt or sucked under by bad riptides…..
Man’s senses have dulled exponentially in the last 20 years, it’s palpable..
Or hit in the noggin by floating debris
Oh well let em live their lives without judging them
Putting a photo of a girl looking like she’s drowning nice click bait.
People are sick.
Oh it was just click bait
thanks for letting me know …
you just saved me how
many minutes of my life…

@@georginaflemmings5074 Youre welcome
it probabaly was a picture they took with their camera. it sure looked like the same waters and like those other people struggling to stay above water.

The entire sewer system was under water where do you think it is now , whoa does not take a genius to fiber that out .
Wow absolutely crazy to get into that water shortly after Ian Hurricane. That water is dirty and that water looks like it’s still angry plus debris and pier is coming a part.
Common sense isn’t so common, all that debris in the water could do some damage
Disgusting!! How can people be so ignorant!!! That water is super dirty!!
I can't believe how rough the surf still is!
Video was posted 8 days ago
TONS OF DEBRIS AND OIL, NAILS EVERYWHERE !!!
🤮 do they not realize what was just sucked from land into that ocean??? Sewage, Chemicals, Debris etc
Why is everyone walking along the beach after a historic hurricane just hit? They are like beach zombies!
some people are just plain stupid
Used to be some, they are plentiful now..end of days are at hand
Right
Well, you're stupid if you believe everything the "news" tells you....
That water was nasty the next day with all the water returning from the land. It was like sewer water.
The beaches are depressing now. It looks like bombs went off in all the homes and buildings along the beach. Naples always had some of the nicest sand too. It now has a 3rd world feel to the beaches. It will take some time for the homes and buildings to be repaired/replaced but Naples will come back fast. The clean up efforts have been moving very quick.
Naples also could have been much worse. Literally just few miles north is was far more destructive.
3rd world feel? Lol! I guess, you should travel more outside the US dude! Even before it got devastated by the storm, Naples Beach already pales in comparison to the scenic beaches in Southeast Asia and the Carribean!😂
@@rm_alfaro you ever been to beaches in Ukraine?
I travel. Stfu
I had an aunt that lived in Naples. She passed away a couple years ago
Why are there so many people there? When Ike hit Galveston, no one was allowed back on the island for approx. 2 wks not even residents. Only first responders, Red Cross & law enforcement. And after appro. 2 wks only residents with proof of residence were allowed back to assess damages and gather anything worth saving. But had to vacate by a certain time every day. There wasn't water for almost 2 months and no power for longer than that. So I'm wondering, if Ian was a cat 4 almost cat 5, why are so many people walking around and having a day at the beach? The water is going to be so contaminated and they are still finding bodies. Every state does it their own way I guess.
Florida is still beautiful ❤️
Did not look like the beautiful calm gulf waters. Turbulent and scary. Be careful.
Does nobody work in Florida?
Last time I was at the beach was January 2012. I really miss going to the beach.
Awe... get to the beach~~ it misses you!❣️❣️❣️
There are still bodies missing. Why are these people swimming?
Thats crazy!!! Even after a hurricane u d9nt go in the waters
Right
That's crazy!! Even before a hurricane, there are things (like big fish and gators) that can hurt you, but I don't see you warning people about that!!!
Thank God the damage is not as bad as other places. Some places that experienced hurricane, storm, flood in other parts of the world, the damages is unbelievable. Thank God for mercy.
Dear Hauwa, you write it's not
that bad, a broker

@@g.m.4572 I apologize if I came off wrong when I said it's not that bad. Is just that what the video clip showed at the beach scene and the damages there it looks like it needs clean up. Compared to other places in Florida and the rest of the world, that beach looks like people are still able to swim. About your rental property, I understand the loss and stress you have to go through. I hope there would be some relieve and remedy to what your going through. It's well. Stay strong and well.
yeah JUST WALK AROUND IT WHY BOTHER MOVING IT OFF THE SIDEWALKS
Let them. You can’t fix stupid. Ever.
Yuk why swim in that??
Florida; nice place to visit, wouldn't want to live there!
I'd rather be in Naples Italy than Naples Florida, the similarities in geographics and location of the city of Naples, someone was thinking
Ocean is still.so crazy still scary 😨
Some people like to live on the edge
I can't believe these people coming to look AT THE beach and take pictures and just be Oblivious to the destruction and sorrow these redidents are suffering and you Act like it's just a sight seeing tour. Why don't you volunteer to HELP PEOPLE instead of making things worse by gawking and useing precious fuel and other resources others desperately need? Unbelievable! Cruel and inconsiderate.
Why don't you convince Joe Biden to spend some of his trillions he has for Ukraine in Florida?
Danger ...Crazy people
They need to be blocking off the streets to keep people from parking so close to beach & to keep people off beach AT LEAST until clean-up efforts is underway along the beach AND on these streets!
They should have made you a Meter Maid or something since you're the expert on Parking. Now watch the video again...and you will see SLIGHT damage compared to other hurricanes in the past....it was NOT the worst storm in American History although the press want you to believe that.

Though we are close to a nuclear war, it looks like Florida was hit by a small tactical nuke.
Sound like you made it happened. Bad boy. 👦
Looks like that EVERY time Florida is hit by a hurricane, which is every year......we're just gonna have to BAN those assault style hurricanes.
Way I see it, it’s not Afghanistan 1986 yet. We’re close, but not too close to midnight on the atomic clock.
@@bayersbluebayoubioweapon8477 You were in Afghanistan in 1986? Russians were in Afghanistan 1986. Russia didn't nuke Afghanistan in 1986, outside of Kandahar and Bagram, those people have lived in stick and bricks mud huts for centuries....I was in Afghanistan in 01 and 03, and those people still don't have indoor plumbing in those mudbrick houses because the money including Humanitarian Aid, International Red Cross, World Food Bank, NEVER leaves outside Kandahar and Bagram. This isn't the first storm to ever hit Florida so don't be comparing Florida to Afghanistan.

"No Swimming. (Except for fools)."
Now we have to build it back again. Did they find all the plaques that got taken in the storm?
@@bambooprincess3495 no people gave money to build the pier back and to build the original pier years ago and to rebuild the pier after this hurricane. Give a certain amount of money get a plaque. So that’s what I mean. Bronze plaques with names of donors. And they attach them to the pier but the pier got damaged in the hurricane.
@@bambooprincess3495 they just rebuilt the pier from another storm. But it got hit again with Ian . So they will put the old ones back up also when they rebuild. And they are rich donors so I don’t know I just live here , there’s always been a pier so I’m sure they will build it back. It’s a town with a lot of money so that’s not it. It’s a local monument
@@bambooprincess3495 there was nothing wrong with the pier before the storm it is kept up. It was hit by a hurricane category 4 that tends to mess them up. And I have lived my adult life here what ever that has to do with anything. Rich people like plaques to tell people they gave to charity. No one’s fault but nature. Oh and I’m 60 lived in Naples since I was 17 it’s a great town just a lot of rich people that’s all.
@@bambooprincess3495 the pier was brand new there was nothing wrong with the pier, that’s what I’m trying to tell your . Why do you think it wasn’t kept up? It was new a storm took the pier out . The pier was fine till Ian
I use to live right down the street from here. Fucking sucks seeing it so trashed now after the hurricane 😞
Damage to houses on beach or on surrounding streets? Much debris further on beach?
little destruction in Naples. the houses were fine.
The coastline is devastated, thousands of homes were completely flooded, it's unimaginable how bad it is, I got lucky and my home only suffered wind damage, but the distraction is off the charts.
@@Florida4Kchannel Are you even on the same planet ?????? Homes are anything but fine ! High rise condos, homes, businesses are destroyed, people have lost everything they have worked their entire life for .

Good thing I saw that yellow tape on the stairs I was about to go up there
Maybe she needed a bath
I think it's a dude. 🧐
