The Oakland A's have a new "lights out" closer named Mason Miller. His fastball is 103MPH. When he comes into the game, the announcer said "It's Miller Time!". When I heard that I watched this vintage commercial, does bring back good memories!
excellent observation sir. your keen eye for detail is the mark of a true beer connoissuer.thank you for enlightening some of our younger less experienced beer drinkers on this most serious of matters.
I don't know if anyone notices but the black guy who operated the train was Hal Williams, who played Officer Smith (Smitty) on Sanford and Son. Just keep your eye open it takes a split second in the engine and when he sits down with his coworker towards the end.
Last night I dreamed I was on the *Miller* train. It was an open air train that travelled across this long bridge that went along... not across... along the most beautiful river. In the distance I saw a pier jutting out and someone in the water on a Miller logo float! There was a tall water tower with the logo too. This song kept playing called "I May Like It". (No such song but...) It was a corny old 70s country trucker song and I was singing at the top of my lungs!! I don't drink beer... and I wasn't having a great night sleep... but the dream occurred at least twice and was very euphoric! Cheers! Saw you posting and it brought back my dream!
The funny thing is, this was filmed on a tourist railroad that operates steam locomotives. I believe they operate these "snow specials" only a couple of times each winter. Therefore, Miller's implication that this is "typical railroad work" and they head for a Miller when they're done is pretty weak. It's about the same as implying a couple of airline pilots heading to "Miller time" when they're done flying a plane, except their plane would have to be one built by the Wright Brothers.
Anyone know if the following Miller Beer commercial is on youtube or anywhere? The one where a sports team in a locker room makes a rookie sing, expecting it be funny; but he sings the Miller song so well they all get real quiet and then give him a lot of respect and acceptance.
My uncle who moved to america in the 50s would tell me about how much he loved Miller but he said that it tasted better between the 50s and 80s can anyone tell me if that's true because I still love Miller
Been looking for the real vintage Miller commercials. This ain't it. At the time this commercial came out, the jingle was a mere shadow of the original.
Bwahahah! "The BEST TASTING beer you can find"??? ...Must not be searching for very long...I wonder how these guys would react to Heineken or Sam Adams?
@tree man Sorry heavily hopped beer is highly over rated, and original reason IPA's were even invented was only for the preservative qualities of hops and high alcohol content which keeps beer from spoiling too quick when it was shipped on long voyages from England to India. It wasn't created for taste preferences, though if you actually do like lots of hops then go for it. If I want something better quality than say Miller I will go for some type of ale or pilsner/lager that has a balance of hops and malt flavor.
@@yearginclarke Yeah Its what you call Pilsner piss Horse piss lol but actually my favorite beer is a good lager beer Like Coors i get a Cheap high on Miller lol
@@charlieirvin5423 Actually Miller high life is my go-to cheap beer...there's always a 12 pack in my fridge. As I said before I think IPA's are really over-rated. Although I do like some american pale ales I've tried like Anchor brewing's pale ale and Deschutes' Mirror Pond also, but I still prefer easy drinking smooth beers without tons of hops mostly.
Some random guy on a bus I took sung this for an entire 20 minutes drunkenly. Made my friggin day.
Lol
😂

You know, I can see a lot of posiible outcomes for this thing. And not a single one of them involves Miller time. (C) Mike from Breaking Bad
I was re-watching the series the other day and laughed so hard when I heard him say this. He's so fucking sardonic.
Man that takes me back!

Sam Adams is best tasting. u guys should try Sapporo
haha. it seems you never had real beer. miller is based on rice. and this is the problem. try pilsener urquell or chezch budweiser. this is beer!
Budweiser with a lot bubbles.
The only problem I've got with Miller beer is that its too goddam carbonated and that makes me throw up making it useless to get drunk
Miller Beer, creating alcoholics one commercial at a time.
Forget about enjoying a smoke with your Miller beer now, it is against the rules of the New World Order Conspiracy.
@KaiserHudson67, thank you for setting me straight.
I would drink Bud, if it don't taste like shit...
How did they come up with a job plowing railroad tracks anyway?
@sinbad799 yeah he sure is
