Michigan here, Since 2020 I’ve moved, cut the cable, changed phone service providers, but overall I’ve lowered my monthly expenses $300 a month, along with at least $300 in increased income monthly, I’m up $600 a month from where I was 3 years ago. Now I realize I have the freedom of NO DEBT, NO LOANS, NO MORTGAGE so I have very few fixed cost, Just my rent which includes utilities, I also don’t own a vehicle. I have the freedom of using family members extra vehicle. Which I always return with a full tank of gas, one fill up cost me $96.00 .

What is the average rental in detroit for a 2 Bedroom house

    • @LIVINGINDETROIT

We can run those numbers for you. There are a variety of areas and range of price points. You can rent a place in Detroit as low as $600 a month or as high as $6000 a month. Not sure where the average for today but I’m happy to look at that.

I’ve loved living in Michigan. First year out of highschool I lived in Huntington IN. That didn’t work out so I moved back home then on with the rest of my life.
You’ll never truly appreciate life until you’re walking 4 miles home through 3 feet of snow with 5 foot drifts at 1am in the middle of January. And passing out from the heat in the middle of July.
      Only in America.
