@@rayben3972even so, Allen of all people should know if he scores there he's giving the ball back to Mahomes with plenty of time on the clock. Not a situation you wanna be in
Although he was wide open on 2 & 9 just remember Allen was getting rushed and the pocket broke. As for Diggs when he dropped the ball both the Coach and Josh Allen had second thought. The Coach went with deep pass and use him as a decoy while Josh probably listened and didn’t notice. So even if he was open what guarantee the pass wouldn’t be dropped the second time they weren’t going to take the chance.
Sure Diggs had a drop prior but he's still the best receiver on that team. And more importantly even if you get the TD there you are giving Mahomes way too much time left
@@Stock1897 this is more of a guess on what going on from the Coaches and Josh Allen perspective. The Chiefs were going to be deep protection on the End Zone so that’s why Diggs was open but I think the Bills we’re playing desperate on scoring then burning the clock.
The moment I saw that field goal go WIDE RIGHT, I was like: "Oh my God, he 'SCOTT NORWOODED' IT!!!" In a crowded bar, at the top of my lungs. And everybody just groaned... It's still up for debate whether that was because my words were taken as a bad pun, or if everyone understood that the Bills had just gotten screwed by history yet again, in the playoffs!
@@timsoom7027 Not really, because they went score for score with Kansas City in the Third Quarter. Then, in the fourth, KC scored one more touchdown, and then Josh Allen failed to throw any touchdown passes, because his receivers suddenly couldn't catch a cold. And the field goal may have been shanked, but you could clearly see the wind took that thing for a ride. It was going to go through the uprights, until it suddenly hooked in midair, and went wide right. Only the wind could pull something like that off. If anything, Kansas City (who turned the ball over twice in the 4th) was trying to lose the game, but the Bills could not take advantage of the mistakes.
Neither has a superbowl victory playoff wins ain’t sheet. Especially if no tittle won who wants to almost win ? I understand neither team has never won anything so playoff win is a big deal.😂😂😂
Chiefs fan here saying that we had plenty of playoff losses before Mahomes and Kelce began. I know your pain and I can empathize with Bills fans...but it is great we are finally experiencing success! SORRY...NOT SORRY!!!
I know this isn't really any consolation, but I don't think the outcome would be any different if the Bills made that kick. Too much time left on the clock, more than enough time for the Chiefs to feasibly drive the length of the field and score a dagger before OT. I think what they really needed was a TD; even with a missed extra point a Chiefs FG would have only forced overtime, and if they got that extra point they might have even won in regulation.
The real issue was Allen dirting a wide open receier in the endzone literally two plays earlier. Kickers usually get crucified, but Allen getting bumped a bit two plays earlier is a much more important play in this game. Even Romo said, "if they lose this game this is gonna be the play they look back at." That one pass is the difference between the Bills kicking tow plays later tow tie the game or the Chiefs having to drive to the whole filed to win the game... in hostile territory which didn't seem to matter that much to be honest. i don't be recall off the top of my head, but I don't believe the Chiefs offense had an presnap penalties today.... That's on you Buffalo.

@@btbarr16 It was just that close. The bull rush off the edge did just enough to back the tackle into Allen during his throwing motion, and he couldn't adjust his throw to that contact.
@@btbarr16 What hurt on that one the most was that Allen passed up a wide-open shallow crosser to throw to the EZ. He should've checked down to the crosser and chewed more clock. Perfect position to leave Mahomes almost no time. Plenty of room to get the first down and just run it down KC's throat.
Yeah, the way the Chiefs were moving the ball (and with their two-minute prowess already well established) they probably could've marched down to like the 25 or so and had Butker drill one to advance. If you're trying to burn 2 minutes and make a game-winning score you don't throw a bunch of far away possible incompletions...you throw short or just straight up run. At least you burn some clock, even if you don't make the first down. You should then be at least a little closer to make a field goal if you don't end up making the first down. we knew the game was over the moment bass lined up for that kick. it really didnt matter if he made it or not. it just hurts more that it was wide right. Josh and the offense was damn near perfect until that final drive (josh's fumble not withstanding), hell actually the final set of downs. you have it at the 2 minute warning and your first play you go for an endzone shot. what the hell was he thinking. also we talk about Mahomes' recievers dropping balls but Allen has 3 catches for over 100 yards taken off the sheet from stone hands.
Chiefs had most drops in the regular season, but they've definitely started shaping up since playoffs started. That team just plays different come January.
Uh, what are you talking about "Josh and the offense was [bleep] near perfect until that final drive"? A reminder that the Bills only score in the *entire* second half came on their *very first* second half drive! They had nearly the entire second half to get the three points to get to 27, and they *still* couldn't do it! They quite literally had to risk a fake punt at around their own 30-yard-line because they were having no luck at all moving the ball after that first drive in the second half - and *that* failed and probably *should* have all but cost them the game then and there (but they were bailed out by Mecole Hardman's massive blunder - his *second* fumble in the game, the first one he lost)! Simply put, the offense's endless failure to move the ball in the second half was what cost them this game! The defense did a stellar job keeping the game within striking distance despite the offense's inability to get anything going, and even with break after break after break (bailing them out of some *very* poor decision making), they *still* failed to bring it in (in major part due to Josh Allen's own major flubs, as you yourself mentioned the fumble and the errant pass to the end zone on that final set of downs)!
Allen didn't make that call the OC did. These guys can change plays but they don't make the initial call. And generally a changed call results in a shift before the snap. However he made some bad reads in this game.
This makes me smile even more than the game! Perna needs to take a look at the flags on the goal post! Nearly straight down! These two act like everything went against them. If Hardman doesn't fumble through the end zone, this game isn't close! Top that off with Allen trying to do too much and fumbles and if the KC player just falls on the ball there would be no drama at all!
As a lifelong chiefs fan, I know the pain the bills fans have. The John Elway broncos, the Manning colts, the Brady patriots all crushed the Chiefs time after time. The worst was the patriots because they never seemed to be that good, never had a hard schedule and always went in to the playoffs healthy and peeking, facing teams that had to grind all season long and that were completely beat up. Good game bills you are a solid team 💯
Not to mention the Bills in the 90s keeping Montana from another Super Bowl as they frittered away four chances at a championship. Until 2018, KC literally didn’t make it to the Super Bowl in my four decades of life on this planet. I’m enjoying it while it lasts, but I also just can’t bring myself to feel bad for the Bills.

Who was calling those last plays? A shot to the end zone? And then the next play Josh gets flushed out of the pocket and throws it away...ugh! Two safer plays, a couple of runs a swing pass and run more time off the clock, and get Bass closer..or maybe break one and score a touchdown..either way leaving little time on the clock, a touchdown would have left little time for KC and you win, get a little closer make the field goal, again little time for KC and force overtime,, Either of those would have been better than a choke loss...now I have to root for the Ravens...whatever..damn Bills Oh and lets not forget the Bills lame fake punt! What?
Well that end zone play would have worked had Jones not shoved his guy into Allen on his throw. But even if it worked we would have been left with tons of time which could have been bad for them.
It was second and 9. On the 26 yard line. The Chiefs had 2 timeouts. You had 3 plays to get the first down. We were going to be at the 17 yard line with 1:30 to play and the Chiefs having run out the clocks. He would have 4 chances to enter the endzone eating up the rest of the clock. They ignore the first down and throw into the endzone on the remaining two downs. Completing the pass or not would stop the clock. In other words, we would return the ball to Mahomes with almost 2 minutes and 2 timeouts regardless of the outcome of the play. In this configuration we would lose anyway. The game was one first down away from winning, never a score away. It was obvious that the objective would not be to score at that moment. The clear, crystal clear target was the first down. The game was in hand. Gain. We had 3 runs to gain 9 yards. And then 4 plays to get into the endzone eating up the rest of the clock. Throwing it into the end zone at that moment twice is playing to lose, it's giving the opponent a chance to win that they no longer had. It is inexplicably playing against your own advantage. If our coach called a fake punt from his own 30 yard line with 10 minutes left to play and a 3 point difference on the scoreboard because HE CONSIDERED RETURNING THE BALL TO MAHOMES AS SYNONYMOUS WITH GETTING A TD, as plays later with the chance to kill the clock the decision is to throw in the endzone and return the ball to the same Mahomes with 2 minutes and 2 timeouts to call?
As a bills fan…. I just I’m just hurt. The season was left to two things. Diggs missing a dime, and bass going far right… I cried. I sat I the shower and cried. But at the end of the day. Buffalo and JA17 is my boys.
As a Miami Dolphin fan, I love it. I danced in my living room when the kick sailed wide right. All the crap the Bills talk to us Dolphins fans during the season is for nothing. Come join us on the couch, Bills Mafia.
The NFL media really frustrates me as a Bills fan. They go really hard on Josh Allen for things they give other QBs a pass on. For example, Josh Allen made enough plays to win this game, he had 3 dropped deep passes, the Diggs one should've been a TD, but when the game was over, one of the first things said in post game was, "If Hardman didn't fumble down there, it would've been a bad game for the Bills, it should've been worse, they got lucky", which infuriates me as a Bills fan for 36 years now. Why didn't he also say, "But, you could say the same for the Bills, if Diggs and Scherfield and Cook all didn't drop TD passes, would the Bills have pulled ahead further and made the Chiefs more 1 dimensional? What if Diggs caught that? What if the kicker didn't miss the extra point and the FG which would've given us a 1 point lead? Bc they're spinning the narrative that it's "Allen's decision making", or "turnovers", even though Allen always protects the ball in the playoffs, it's why he now has 21 passing TDs to 4 INTs in the playoffs. Allen has the 2nd highest win percentage since entering the league, so his "turnovers" obviously aren't that huge of a deal. In reality his INTs are no worse than other HOF QBs like Manning, Brees, Brady, Favre, Marino, etc, they're all similar, and the only ones with less than Allen in that group, at the same point in their career was Brady, who has only a few less. Point being ESPN is just spinning this narrative to create sports debate on shows like "Undiputed" etc. I think Nick Wright's anti Josh Allen nonsense is a written script, if you look at analytics, Allen, Mahomes, and Jackson are all heads and shoulders above all other QBs, but Allen doesn't get the same respect. Jackson has 3 All Pro selections to Allen's 0, and now 2 MVPs to Allen's 0, while Allen has had better stats, and more playoff success so far. Allen lead the league in TDs, and didn't even get voted to the Pro Bowl. They're gonna give the MVP to Jackson, who has 20 less touchdowns than the touchdown leader who is Josh Allen. Allen also broke multiple records this season, most games with a passing and rushing TD, most rushing TDs by a QB, and only QB in history to have 4 consecutive 40+ TD seasons, and he can't get an All Pro vote? An MVP? Even a Pro Bowl this year? Jackson won a lot of games with only 1 TD, that's a luxury Josh Allen is NEVER afforded. The Josh Allen hate is real and really bogus.
Josh is a much better quarterback than95% out there and way better than Lamar. When we (Chiefs) had guys who could catch the ball Mahomes was always throwing deep. So frustrating. Just get the first down. Move the chains! But no, gotta go for the homerun and now it's 3rd and 13 and we've gotta pull one out of our @$$. Josh has a lot of that too. Slow and steady wins the race. He'll we didn't have anyone near your screens the whole game. They could catch the ball and then run for 5-10 more yards. I feel your pain.
@@gregrichards1601 ppl should be thrilled that we get to watch 2 All time great QBs in Allen and Mahomes, and give them both their flowers, they deliver every matchup. It's never a blowout and always comes down to the last play. They're clearly the 2 best QBs and it isn't even close.
@@gregrichards1601 I didn't hear one sports analyst say, "the fact that the Bills were missing 7-8 Defensive starters, and still had a chance to beat Mahomes, shows how great Josh Allen is. That is a whole lot to overcome."
@ONLYGAMINGCLIPS - I agree with both of your comments. Totally right. We had people out the first game against Detroit and a bunch of other games this season. It's super hard to win when your best people aren't playing. It affects everything. One guy making a catch or tackle or getting a penalty can change the whole game. You guys played great for what you had. We need to tackle and catch the damn ball. Critical plays can kill you.
Is everyone forgetting about Hardman fumbling and the Bills getting a touch back??? Everyone talking about badluck sheeezz We know about badluck!! Go Chiefs!!
To be honest I thought the Bills defense is what really lost them the game they showed like no resistence to the chiefs offense like I think the Ravens will show in next weeks gane and having them go score in like 7 plays is awful.
The strategy worked, in that by wasting time off the clock, Buffalo prevented K.C. from scoring again. Except that Buffalo was behind, not ahead at the time.
I agree, but the issue was they didn't run after the 2 min mark or take the easy 5 yard throws. Allen was not going for the easy throws and pushed for the 20yd endzone which wasn't needed.
@@OneMocha1015 Agreed, eating up the clock while trying to go for the 2 or so remaining first downs is far more logical and somebody at that point must have switched the Bills playbook with a Denny's menu because all of their plays coming out of the 2 minute warning were horrendous.
Bills could have ran the ball, get closer and have a better shot at a TD to close out the final minutes. Only kicking a FG as a last resort. But the Bills defense generated little to no pressure on Mahomes, letting Kelce run free for two TDs. All around team loss.

Wide Right (Taylor's Version)
Diggs was wide open on that 2nd and 9. Not sure why Allen was going for the TD there. Getting a first down to milk more time off the clock would've been much better
He went for the TD because he saw an opening but Jones pushed the lineman into Allen

*PTSD ensues*
The moment I saw that field goal go WIDE RIGHT, I was like: "Oh my God, he 'SCOTT NORWOODED' IT!!!" In a crowded bar, at the top of my lungs. And everybody just groaned...
It's still up for debate whether that was because my words were taken as a bad pun, or if everyone understood that the Bills had just gotten screwed by history yet again, in the playoffs!
I think the game was fixed..Bills gave up second half

@@luisfigueroa3044about that
Chiefs fan here saying that we had plenty of playoff losses before Mahomes and Kelce began.
@@btbarr16dude Allen was the only one who wanted to fucking win man. He tried to do too much and missed one or two plays, this loss ain’t on him but he does have some plays he would want back.
Would that ending have hurt Bills fans less? I don't know. I feel sorry for them-always the bridesmaid, never the bride. I know their time will come.

Really I think a lot was the offensive play caller's fault there. I don't know what happened during that 2 minute warning. If you're trying to burn 2 minutes and make a game-winning score you don't throw a bunch of far away possible incompletions...you throw short or just straight up run. At least you burn some clock, even if you don't make the first down. You should then be at least a little closer to make a field goal if you don't end up making the first down. But if you DO make the first down then if you keep doing it you can really leave them with almost or actually no time life

we knew the game was over the moment bass lined up for that kick. it really didnt matter if he made it or not. it just hurts more that it was wide right.
Mahomes recievers literally led the league in drops by a wide margin this season. Cry all you want😂
@@deemity7557yeah and that cost them some games like the drops here costed the bills. What’s your point? 😂

The worst was the patriots because they never seemed to be that good, never had a hard schedule and always went in to the playoffs healthy and peeking, facing teams that had to grind all season long and that were completely beat up. Good game bills you are a solid team 💯
So true, 50 years of truth actually. Great post!

The kick wide right brings up the 90s Super bowl a cruel way to end the game. Great game
😂 "The Chiefs don't even need to get into field goal range now"
It was second and 9.

That Diggs drop had to be an absolute “stake in the heart” for Bills fans.
The strategy worked, in that by wasting time off the clock, Buffalo prevented K.C. from scoring again. Except that Buffalo was behind, not ahead at the time.

You do NOT kick a field goal there. You CANNOT let Mahomes have the ball again.
I agree, but the issue was they didn't run after the 2 min mark or take the easy 5 yard throws. Allen was not going for the easy throws and pushed for the 20yd endzone which wasn't needed.
That coaching job is worthy of firing. McDermott has been outcoached by Andy Reid three times in the last four postseasons.
@@OneMocha1015 Agreed, eating up the clock while trying to go for the 2 or so remaining first downs is far more logical and somebody at that point must have switched the Bills playbook with a Denny's menu because all of their plays coming out of the 2 minute warning were horrendous.

can't over-look the biggest "cardinal rule" that applied squarely on Allen and Bills which was stay with what was working all game and when you're playing a superb opponent, like the chiefs, and your defense is depleted, is clock management-time of position-milking the clock down-with high percentage plays of completions and runs before scoring.. Overall if you don't follow the Cardinal rule outlined you deserve a great chance of losing
is the nfl changing the rules again for bills? the new rule should be the kicker gets 2 trys to make the fg if it ties the game or its a game winning fg
