I Don't know Why,But After My Grandmother passed away, I Started Listening To The O'Jays A Lot More,I Guess Because She Was A Big Fan Of These Guy's,I Thinks Of Her Now, When I Play Their Music,May You Rip Grandma Love you & Miss You Always
Much of the Philly sound was this label, Philly Intl Rec., but almost all of it was cut at same studio, Sigma Sound, with a regular group of session players. Like motown, or LA pop scene in 60's. Or Nashville back then. Same twenty guys on all the records.
I remember watching this when it was NEW 😂. I was about 8 yrs old. SOUL TRAIN every Saturday morning at noon. God bless Don Cornelius for his vision to entertain us, and of course, the Mighty O'Jays for their timeless music.
I saw this episode when first aired on Soul Train never missed an episode especially in the 70’s.... nothing like these old school groups/entertainers.....Yeah this was the best of times.👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿✌🏿✊🏿
Give the People what they want (Soul Train). - The O’Jays. It’s a really full on funky song. Well sung as usual by a true professional band. Very Well Done, Guys. Really cool 😎

So very true. ..People are making positive comments about the dancing, singing, and outfits. I can agree with those assessments. Still, I was always eager to hear the "message in the music." Blessings ❤

The O'Jays Are The Best 💯
The outfits that the O’Jays wore always gave me goosebumps everytime when they always had performed on Soul Train.
Their clothes were professional and appropriate. We know that they had pride in their Appearance!
That Philly sound is instantly recognizable and 100% undeniable!
Just like the Motown sound.
The backbeat
