SanDisk Extreme Pro is having major issued and recalls. Why is it on your list? They are crap.
What's being missed is that the SanDisk Pro is available with Thunderbolt and it is killing it there. Best external SSD I ever bought. Should be #1. Personally had bad experience with WD MyBook in the past.
best laptops for data science, AI and Python devleloper
No Bias but Samsung T5 or T7 are better than those you mention. Not to mention that 2 of my WD MyBook were damaged after a year I bought them that made me so much depressed after losing TB of files. I have to disagree on this men.
I also had one go bad on me and because of its proprietary software I almost lost all of my backed up files. WD was no help,even in regard to replacing the unit. I ended up buying a second one, taking it apart and swapping out the hard drive to finally recover my files.
