@Peter Johnson - The conversation was about a very good lifelong friend of mine who was in an ICU unit at a local hospital with cancer and several other severe health issues right as the pandemic was getting worse. We had grown up together and he was always being told how he looked just like Barry. Without naming anyone; someone passed my phone number along to Barry about this story. I received a call from Barry one day and we spoke about what was going on and Barry asked if he could speak with him. Later that evening I went to the hospital and called Barry. My friend had lost his voice because of the tubes that had been used to drain fluid from his lungs so I held the phone to his head while on speakerphone as Barry spoke to him and he mouthed his response which I would then relay to Barry. As bad as his condition was, I could tell that he was in disbelief that he was actually speaking with Barry. Several people were there in the room, including his wife, who were also in disbelief. I felt that there was a good chance that he wouldn't survive so the call meant a lot to me as well. A couple of weeks later he did in fact pass away.

Il adore Barry Gibb and the Bee gees are fabulous ...When i listen her music and her delicious song î’m Happy and î’m rethinking of my Youth ....Thank You Barry gibb and congratulation for your career
Barry Gibb is the Greatest Singer of all time. He is also the greatest songwriter of all time. Listen to the title song from Grease the movie. He wrote that song. My Favorite songs of his that I listen to all the time are Night Fever, Jive Talkin and Staying Alive. Hey Taylor Swift you want to make legendary status, you need to team up with this man. In my mind you’re always be second Banana until you team up with this guy. I glad all these singers are making this album with him because that shows how much respect they have for him.
Their documentary was one of the best I've seen. It was Amazing and I learned so much about them. I've always been a fan but never knew an indepth deep dive of their history. Their song writing skills are bar none. And to think disco music tried to take them out SMDH. God bless Barry and their music will last until the end of time. ❤❤
If you're going to use the term "musical icon" when describing particular writers and performers, I believe that Barry Gibb and his brothers deserve those words before their names. And although I don't know Barry, when you watch and listen to him talk about his brothers, his past, and his hopes for the future, you can feel his vulnerability and his true sentiment, almost as if you are friends with him, or you wish you were, and to me, that's the mark of genuine human being. And despite this vulnerability, we see a man whose music has made so many people happy over the years, and isn't that the ultimate goal of a singer/songwriter? I smiled wide when he said he might tour again, "If people want me too. I want to be wanted." Barry, if you're reading this (ha!), please believe me when I say, you are very much wanted, now even more than ever. And your legion of fans are ready to buy the tickets as soon as you announce that tour.
My sentiments exactly! I cry every time he talks about his brothers because I feel his pain, vulnerability, and his humbleness! I’d love for him to tour! Heck bring along Spencer, RJ, Samantha, Ashley, Stephen too they all sing beautifully
You can see he speaks from the heart. I believe this is the man that he really is. Nothing fake about him. It makes a man that is already such a talent even more pure gold. Few are real anymore. All the special tools used to make vocals perfect Barry never needed. Neither did his brothers. This is true talent!
I feel that each of the brothers were genuine. In the one interview where the woman finally walks in with a vacuum cleaner...you could see throughout the interview crazy things happened...and yet they didn’t miss a beat and had the best attitude. I don’t see these three men as being caught up in the celebrity of who they were and who Barry still is. I watched a video on their life, and I must say how impressed I am that these three men did not allow the circumstances of their early life to keep them down. No...they ascended up with hard work and a love for the art of the music, and became the BEST at their craft. Many people could learn from them by emulating them instead of giving excuses about a hard childhood. I have said it before...and it bears repeating...their vocals, harmony and lyrics and instrumentals could not be touched by anyone I have ever heard. I love music, and have been involved in music since the age of 6. I believe in giving due and honor to those deserving that honor. The Bee Gees can’t be beat. Barry was the heart beat of the group. I have no doubt without his leadership, the band would not have risen to the level it did, even though they had the talent to become what they are now...amazing, incredible, artists that can’t be beat. I hope to see so much more from Barry, and love seeing the children getting involved in Barry’s music. Life is a circle, as someone is dying, someone is being born. The circle continues on with Barry and all the children. I can’t wait to see what the outflow of all that creativity will bring. No doubt it will be great!
I drove to Vegas, from California, when I was 18 with my best friend (earth immigrant) to see their One Night Only at the MGM Grand. It was such an amazing experience.
Love you Barry. Always have. Always will. You made me cry when you said you've been in lockdown for years. I can identify with that. Lost my mother 2 years ago. Have wept everyday since then for her. I feel I will never really get over her loss. And for you, your brothers were a part of you, your life, and still you go on, because they are and always will be in your heart. God Bless you always. Have grown up with your songs, cant imagine life without them. Respect. Love and Peace to you always. Ozzy from Pakistan.
One of the greatest groups of all-time. Definitely the best of the late 1970s. Also, some of the greatest song writers of all-time... up there with the Beatles.

Never stop touring or singing Barry! We all ❤️ you and need you in our lives! God Bless You! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Was this the show they played “you should be dancing” w/Andy? Wow!
@@azodo88 Yes, you are correct. I was in the nosebleed seats with my friend Debbie. I was screaming at the top of my lungs! I was yelling Robin’s name when he was onstage with Maurice and Barry. I have a very fuzzy picture from the concert and I cherish it, because it looks like Robin is looking up and can hear me yelling his name! I will have to look for my ticket stub again for the exact date of the show.
Thank you for your question and reply. Will get back to you soon😊.
Found the ticket stub Amanda!
Saturday, September 8, 1979. 8 p.m. Section 211, Row C, Seat 13!!! 2nd Promenade. The ticket cost me $15.00! Second Performance!

Their music brings back such wonderful memories! So glad Barry is keeping it alive. It must be so tough to have lost all his brothers. I wish him well.
Sending good vibes to Sir Barry. His family’s music is one of the few things that has kept my spirits up over the last year.
Excellent idea to re-record his songs with new voices! Incredible music!
Such a legend!! I want to give him a HUGE hug and thank him for keeping the music alive!! Always been a Bee Gees fan!!
I love the Bee Gees! One day, whenever that day comes, you will be reunited with your three brothers Barry, and I am sure your brothers will be so happy. ❤
Barry, you are NOT alone! You still have us. And we will always need you and your music. You are part of us and we are part of you.
I loved The Bee Gees I always had I grew up listening to them on the radio being an 80’s baby their music always touched my soul. It’s about time that people Recognized true talents and what they did for the music industry. The Reason why they lasted this long throughout the decades was because they were so versatile and their music country, folk ,r&b,rock, all three bros was cute. Barry had it going on still do handsome and humble.
We love you, Barry!! Your fans support you forever! Thank you for the music and music still to come! In loving memory of your brothers, Peace, Love and Good Health in the New Year! ❤️🎶💖🎸❣️

His new album is fabulous. Bought it yesterday. Wonderful.
I feel honored to have lived through the whole disco era, saturday nite fever era, which of course the BeeGees's were at the top of all that.
The good old days, then on to the 80s, also good old days.
That's about it. I dont think i will ever appreciate much that happened in music from the 90s on.
BEE GEES SONGS WILL LIVE FOREVER ........KEEP GOING SIR BARRY ......GREAT THANKS FOR STILL KEEPING ALIVE YOUR SONGS OF YOUR LATE BROTHERS ......

Legend. I’d see him in a heartbeat. I understand why watching the entire documentary would be painful. But his brothers are watching over him and are with him in spirit on that stage.
His brothers are dead so they are not watching over him.

Il adore Barry Gibb and the Bee gees are fabulous ...When i listen her music and her delicious song î’m Happy and î’m rethinking of my Youth ....Thank You Barry gibb and congratulation for your career
I would love to see him on tour.
Doesn't want to address it over it. You never get over it!
Thank 's the BeeGees brothers, for the songs we will never forget.Missed Andy, Maurice and Robin.
Hi tawanna
May Barry gibb live a long healthy life Amen 🙏
Agreed. He feels like family, I've followed the BeeGees since childhood.
I couldn't agree more with you .
Greetings from Egypt
Barry....how could you say, if people want me to, when questioned about touring. The world wants you to!!! Love you ❤️
Hi Diane
I drove to Vegas, from California, when I was 18 with my best friend (earth immigrant) to see their One Night Only at the MGM Grand. It was such an amazing experience.
Prepare the second Bee Gees generation Brother Barry please . 🌹🌹🌹👍💗🙏🌹🌹🌹
I still get tingles from their music as if I'm listening to the songs for the first time.
Love them miss them 🤗

He asked if Barry wanted to tour again, and Barry’s response was, if they want me to. Well I know to me, and other die hard bee gees fans , the answer is YES,YES, YES. We will always love you, and will always want to see you perform.
We want you to! We want you to! The documentary is a beautiful tribute to the whole family. I know how Barry feels but one day he may be able to enjoy seeing it. My husband of 30 years died 5 years ago and it was only just the other day I could finally approach the task of digitizing all of our old photos. I couldn’t face it before, but now it was easier and I’m glad I revived those good memories. I hope Barry can get to that place some day.
